The ’212′ rapper announced via twitter that Alexander Wang has asked her to fashion’s prom night: this year’s Met Gala. Wang will custom design a dress and a pair of shoes for Banks. • Designer Tracy Resse has teamed up with Anthropologie for their “Made in Kind” capsule collection. The seven-piece range features some seriously springy frocks in the flirty, ultrafeminine silhouettes Reese is famous for. Prices range from $248 to $348. • It seems the layoffs over at Betsey Johnson were happening well before the news even broke via WWD friday. • Baby gift e-tailer My1stYears.com has written an open letter to Posh Spice’s youngest, Harper Beckham, begging the nine-month-old to use her still-developing faculties, and sign on as a child model for the brand. Emily Standford, an employee of My1stYears, writes, “From what we have seen of you since your first public appearance less than a year ago, we know you have implacable style and taste. You were therefore the immediate first choice for our campaign. Due to child labour laws we cannot negotiate a contract or salary directly with you, that is why your Mummy and Daddy have been copied in on this letter. When an Access Hollywood reporter asked why she got rid of the three most redeeming people on her show, the Harvard Business School certificate recipient said; ”We’ve reached a point where we feel that the show just needs a new boost, and there’s a lot of people that go into that decision, and it’s very difficult because I love [Nigel Barker, J. Alexander, and Jay Manuel], and, I mean, they’re my guys. They’ve been there since the beginning of the show. For her night out, she threw on a hooded denim jacket with contrast sleeves, a Céline Mini Luggage Tote, $675 Manolo Blahnik Pepe Sandals, and a $76 Topshop Silver Strappy Maxi Dress:

This dress isn’t the easiest one to pull off and lends itself to evening more than anything. Rih Rih clearly tried to give it an edge with the denim jacket, but I think a statement shoe and leather jacket would have been better.

Rihanna attended the Time 100 Most Influential People Gala last night in a strapless Marchesa Resort 2012 Gown and $1,395 Christian Louboutin Bois Dore Pumps:
The hot fuchsia number features an exaggerated sweetheart neckline and an asymmetrical full tulip skirt.
Her pumps are part of Christian Louboutin’s 20th anniversary collection, and feature a metallic carved wood heel.
I love this look! The color is smashing, and aside from Rih’s bored expression, she looks her typical pretty self. The neckline on the dress is giving me a bit of Madonna ca Blond Ambition and she could’ve gone with a sexier shoe…but in the end, she can turn it out for a red carpet, can’t she?

Celebrities are really gravitating toward Air Jordans of late aren’t they? Rihanna is the latest to rock a pair of kicks from the brand. She was seen out and about in New York City in a denim jacket, graphic tee, white jeans and $160 Air Jordan 12 Retro Sneakers:

This look is taking me back! In high school, the latest pair of Jordans and skintight denim was the hottest pairing out! I guess everything in fashion does come back around huh?
