• Rihanna was spotted in Malibu this weekend taking pictures for an upcoming issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

The singer announced via Twitter: “I did my first #HB cover TODAY!!!!” I can’t wait to see the final images! (Daily Mail)
• If you haven’t started following @Roberto_Cavalli on Twitter, I suggest you immediately hit that follow button. In addition to gems like “Do you prefere the sex……. in the day time or in the night?,” the designer treated us to his personal views on the fashion industry this weekend, and some inside information as to why he and Anna Wintour don’t have such a friendly rapport. Cavalli tweeted, “I confide in you a secret… Anna Wintur das nt come to see my show in Milano ……. Why ?? becouse I dont do publicity in American Vogue ??” No wonder he threw all that shade towards Ms. Wintour in that interview with D. Repubblica! It seems Cavalli has nothing to lose… he doesn’t advertise in American Vogue anyway! (Fashin)
• The new Antonio Lopez biography has several never before-seen photos of fashion industry notables in the 1970s, including this shot of Karl Lagerfeld taking in some sun and sea in a body builder-esque mankini. I’m just gonna leave this here. (Fashionista)
• So, Victoria Beckham, Creative Design Executive for Range Rover (I know, weird) designed a rose gold-accented Evoque Special Edition. Only 200 of these cars will be made, retailing for $128,758, and will include with a four-piece luggage set and hand-sewn wallet with purchase. (Styleite)

Siera writes, ” Hi Claire!!! I havent had a pair of cute gym shoes in years, and I’ve been thinking about buying a cute pair for days when I want a more casual look. I love these shoes that Rihanna is wearing in her youtube video showing her new choreo, please divulge the deets!!”

Of course after seeing Rih Rih’s fancy footwork, you must have her shoes! The ‘Where Have You Been‘ songstress whined for her life in a pair of $80 Reebok Chi Kaze High Top Sneakers:

The cool sneaks come in a plethora of colors, including black, red, neon accented, and white.

Rihanna was spotted on her way to a dinner date with BFF Melissa in Santa Monica last night. For her evening out, the singer chose a relatively affordable $76 Topshop Button Front Midi Dress, $795 Christian Louboutin Crosspiga Patent Leather Pumps, black purse, and $15 Braced Suspender Tights from Pretty Polly, which added a saucy little detail to her look.

Her white button down Topshop dress has a modest, high neckline with buttons reaching from the collarbone to mid-thigh.
Her black patent leather Christian Louboutin Crosspiga pumps have a pointed toe, 100mm heel, and crisscross straps.
Her super sexy Pretty Polly braced suspender tights have a contrasting bright red illusion garter.
Is Rihanna going through my imaginary closet? For the record, I own none of these pieces, but they all look like something I would have, especially those garter tights, which add just the right dash of sex appeal to an otherwise modest look. I think I know what my next purchase is going to be! Plus, her outfit is mostly affordable, so there is no reason not to recreate this look if you really love it. Well played, Ms. Fenty!

How is everyone’s week going? It was relatively quiet on the fashion front this week. Save for a few glamorous ensembles, everyone kept it low key and casual.

Check out some of this week’s hottest looks:
Nicki Minaj is always in a league of her own, demonstrated by a patent leather bomber with polka dot tights, a harness dress, and buckle boots she wore outside her London hotel. Both Jessica White and Leona Lewis went glam in floor-length gowns, while Rachel Roy opted for the same silhouette in a Spring-perfect hue. Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba chose structured, black looks, while Marlo Hampton was spotted in flowy silhouettes that she uplifted with accessories from Missoni, Yves Saint Laurent, and Prada. Last but not least were Rihanna, Rashida Jones, Drake and Sofia Vergara, who kept it casual in jeans.
Rachel Roy’s chic dress was a hit! Her look is this week’s winner in my book.
Who had your favorite looks this week?
• Last night, X-Rated Fusion liqueur and Lala Anthony hosted a screening of Think Like A Man. We asked the Full Court Life reality star about her recent appearance in Vogue‘s April issue, and her budding relationship with editor-in-chief Anna Wintour: “You know, it’s amazing,” she told us, “I’ve actually been able to start having quite a friendship with Anna Wintour. Just to be in Vogue magazine as an African-American Hispanic woman, that doesn’t happen, and I just appreciate everyone’s support of something like that. I don’t know if everyone understands what a big deal it actually is. You know, to pay attention to us is a big deal, and I’m honored and I want to continue to have that relationship, and hopefully see more of me and more people like us in those magazines.” Of course, we had to ask her about her Think Like a Man wardrobe, and if she got any freebies once the film was over: “I think a couple leggings, and things like that,” she said, ”They watch you!” Today, Lala launched her new lifestyle website, IamLaLa.com, which covers everything from fashion and beauty to relationships. Check it out now, and go see Ms. Anthony in Think Like A Man (it’s hilarious), in theaters this Friday. (SN her shoes are Lanvin and they’re amazing).
• This year’s Time 100 list includes two fashion notables, Alexander McQueen‘s Sarah Burton and Spanx inventor Sara Blakley. The two will be honored along with 98 of their fellow “100 listers” at The Time 100 Gala at Lincoln Center this Tuesday. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will deliver the keynote address, while pop singer Rihanna will bleat perform for attendees. (WWD)
• Nicki Minaj has fulfilled the prophecy of “M.A.C, OPI, and a fragrance, too,” announcing yesterday that she will take the beaten (to death) path countless other celebrities have trod, and release her own scent. “I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances,” Minaj told WWD. “This is yet another extension of my creative expression. I designed the scent and bottle with my [Barnz] (note: she probably meant ‘Barbz’) in mind.” (Fashionista)
• Check out the looks CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners Joseph Altuzarra, Pamela Love, and Creatures of the Wind created for their J. Crew capsule collection. Exciting as the collboration is, many of the pieces are indistinguishable from J.Crew’s main line, or, say, anything you could pick up at the Gap. But if you’re interested, you can buy Altuzarra’s collection starting Thurday, Pamela Love’s come May 14th, and Creatures of the Wind’s will be available June 11th. (Vogue)
• Model Jessica White is working with singer/producer Ryan Leslie on an album, of which she says she “think[s] the world is going to be really shocked.” The album, likely to be heavily enhanced with the magic of autotune, will be “more of a soulful” pop, have “a lot” of guest stars, and will be recorded with a live band. White, who told The Cut she’s a “poet first and foremost” says she doesn’t know if when the album will drop. (The Cut)

Rihanna has given us a sneak peek into her Hawaiian vacation from January by releasing a bunch of pictures on her Facebook page. One look that stood out was her relaxing in a $940 Missoni Formosa Jumpsuit:
Her mélange jersey knit jumpsuit features a v-neck and ruffle trim.
Rih Rih didn’t dress it up, but it certainly could be with nude pumps and bouncy, voluminous curls.
If you’re up for the splurge, you can get it at www.barneys.com.
