• Nicole Richie will be the seventh designer to collaborate with Macy’s Impulse department on a capsule collection. The 24-30 piece range will boast several printed items in the tradition of Richie’s famed bohemian-chic personal style. The line, Richie says, “represents the many different layers of a modern woman. Women are wearing so many different hats these days. We are evolving. Not just working, but creating. This collection has a strong mix of masculine and feminine: printed chiffon mixed with faux leathers. I focused on the details, from the zipper pulls to the buttons.” Expect the line to drop this September. (WWD)
• Well, Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevigne seemed to have a great time at last night’s Met Ball. Dunn took to Twitter to gush about chatting with the Most High Priestess, Our Lady Yaki. “Wait did me and @Caradelevingne really just [talk] to Beyonce?!?!,” she managed to tweet after the no doubt life-altering experience. • Rihanna has once again designed a range for Armani Jeans, and from the looks of it, this collection is as uninspired as the last. So you know it’s going to sell like hot cakes. Expect it in stores come mid-April. (Fashionista)

• Africa might never get that Vogue iteration we’re all dreaming of, but they are getting their very own version of Grazia! The publication is launching May 18th, and in addition to fashion, will cover celebrity news, beauty, current events, lifestyle and entertainment. So who’s set to cover the glossy’s debut issue? No word yet. But I’m sure it’ll be a celebrity that sells copies. I’m banking on Rihanna or Beyoncé (in her flawless Met Gala frock, natch!). (WWD)

Set your TVs! Rihanna will be performing on SNL this Saturday and who knows what surprises she has up her sleeve. On her way back from taping some promos for the show, she kept it neutral in a black bomber jacket layered over a cropped leather bustier, $198 Citizens of Humanity Thompson Crop Skinny Jeans, and $595 Manolo Blahnik BB Suede Pumps:
Her face was beat to the high heavens and she added some waves to her hair. She’s glowing!
Her skinny jeans feature a vintage-faded wash and crop length.
Her classic pumps boast a pointed-toe silhouette and 4″ heels.

You guys have sounded off on your dislike of Rih Rih’s wearing neutral colors since it is Spring, but when in NYC, do…as New Yorkers do and we love black! A cropped bustier isn’t for everyone (much less any bustier), but if your body is on point, why not go for it? Rihanna’s surely is.
What do you think?

Kimmy writes, “I was browsing on Tumblr and I came across a picture of Rihanna wearing these fly shorts.”

“… Could you tell me where she got them from and what type of top would look good with them? Thanx in advance! :)”
Rihanna enjoyed the sun and sand in an L Space Fringe Dolly Bikini Top, cropped cover up, and $405 Jeremy Scott Fringed Jean Shorts:

The denim hot pants have a long fringe hem, and were modeled on Jeremy Scott’s Spring/Summer 2012 runway with a cropped colorful top:

Since the bottoms have so much going on, I’d similarly suggest you wear them with a shorter top. Perhaps a bralet? If you needs tips, visit this post or try these on for size:
For everyone else (but Kimmy), would you rock these?

*Rihanna is a huge fan of Jeremy Scott’s ‘trailer park’ themed Spring 2012 collection. She wore another look from the runway in her We Found Love Video:

Jenn writes, “I saw this picture of Rihanna spotted in NYC today and instantly fell in love with how she paired her Spring shorts with the sheers and kicks. How do I get this look for less? LOVE IT!”

No need for a look for less! Rihanna made a colorful turn from her neutral Ksubi tee and denim and opted for a coral sweater, tights, high-top Adidas, and $68 Topshop MOTO Floral Printed Hotpants.
Her shorts feature a bold floral print and high-waist silhouette.
At first, I thought Rih Rih’s tights were ripped but they feature holes on both sides so I’ll have to investigate the designer (I’m guessing they were created that way). It’s a pretty warm day here in NYC so I’m not sure why she wore them, but you know she loves shorts and tights! Hotpants aren’t for everyone, but Rihanna has the legs for them.
You can get her hotpants for a steal at www.topshop.com.

Rihanna is back in NYC and was seen out and about sans makeup, rocking a $80 Ksubi Tee:

Her tee features the fun phrase, “If I were riding a horse I’d wear flannel, but I’m going to the disco so I wear Channel.” Poking fun at one of the world’s most popular brands are we?
It isn’t available for purchase, but I am guessing Rih Rih picked it up during her Australian pursuits for “Battleship” since the brand hails from the Land Down Under.
The brand’s $80 “Royalty, Terrorism, and the Tweets” tee is a similar, controversial option.
Sigh. Rihanna is back to her denim on denim! I think the tee is awesome and I’m not even mad at the boyfriend jeans, but this look is definitely in need of a heel or some fly sneakers, as well as a leather jacket. Hmmm on those dusty flats, Rih, we know you can do better.
What do you think? Hot! or Hmm…?
Rihanna was papped enjoying the waters of Hawaii in yet another delectable two piece.
She threw up the peace sign to the paps in a $187 Acacia Cantik Batik Print Bikini:

The blue fringed beaut boasts a cantik print, along with adjustable straps that tie in the back.

Would you splurge?

If so, get yours here.
