Today we’re headed up North for just a spell with Sasha from Toronto:

She writes, “I wouldn’t say that I have a set style.”

” I dress according to how I feel and in accordance to what statement I want to make.”

20120209-132115.jpg

” I’m a plus size fashion blogger/designer for FLAWS OF COUTURE (www.flawscouture.com).”

“…My intentions are always to let all women know that fashion/styles is achievable in EVERY size!”

“Ladies, work what you’ve got!”

” You’re curves are BEAUTIFUL!””

Alright! You’re certainly adventurous. I think you have some hits and misses, but you definitely have your own look.
Ladies, do you think Sasha’s curves are beautiful?

  1. A few of these outfits are making me mad.. lol But I like the motorcycle jacket and shorts look. She looks like Amber from Glee.

  2. I have an issue with the garter look, *vomit*
    otherwise… work it diva
but don’t do that garter thing in life ever again forever

  3. You realize that the 2nd picture in the blue skirt is not the same girl right??

That aside this recent insurgence of mediocre fashion-bombers does not inspire me to click on this post so much anymore. What happened to the excitement?? Now i click with trepidation in my heart *RANT- OFF*

  4. Me personally I think she put her pieces together quite nice….She know what to wear that fits her frame….I’m digging it!

  5. Gosh, I really wanted to like everything, but I can’t. That lace shirt with the blue skirt had potential to be a stellar look, but with a black tank and not a black full figured bra underneath. If the sheer shirt was more opaque, then you would have pulled that look off.
Those thigh highs with those zebra printed shoes. Yikes.
Kudos at taking risks, but you can’t do every trend at once. And tights are not pants!

  6. @Teri My Bad, I plucked that picture from her site. Updating shortly with another one of her pix. X

  7. Love her confidence, but I am slightly perplexed. There is snow on the ground and she has on shorts? Maybe because I am from the south..I think snow=cold. *blanks stare*

  8. i rarely comment, but i feel like she just made all of us toronto girls look bad.
every look seems to be over accessorized or to tight. Any girl any size can look good if they dress for their body- and not the body in the magazine.
Claire i’ve alway admired fashion bombshell but please choose some women who are innovative, tasteful, and who have a genuine style.

  9. Voted some hits/misses.
Love your message to bigger sized woman. Curves are BEAUTIFUL. I love what you’re trying to do with your outfits. They’re somewhat conventional with a twist. Somethings just look a bit off like the apparent black bra under the lace and the knee high tights. I just didn’t think they…flowed with your outfit. I think you dress fabulously otherwise for your shape. My faves were the two color sweaters.

  10. #1. I like the look with the leather jacket and the shorts.
#2. The outfit with the shorts and the thigh highs in the snow along with the sweater and tights outfit (where are your pants?) are just wrong on every level.
#3. The bombshells have been a little disappointing lately.

  11. Claire, like some people have already stated above, the bombshells have been pretty wack lately.Granted everyone has their own style, but damn…you can’t just put up anyone who submits their pictures..lol…I believe a “bombshell” is supposed to stand out, and not have the average style. There has to be some hard core selection…even the bible says, “many are called but few are chosen”

  12. after i wrote my previous comment i realized it was a little harsh.
she is a beautiful girl but the clothes do not reflect her beauty at all, so i went through her blog – back to april 2011 and found some pictures that reflect a fashion bombshell.
maybe today’s pictures were just chosen poorly.
i do however till stand by my previous statement in dressing for your body and not over accessorizing.

  13. dont like her dressing, but she covers her body well and it looks like she work out, because she is tone. no big stomach hanging out to the side or rising out at the front. she just need to put her style together a little more. she have a neat body i give her props for that.

  14. Some hits some misses. Not really all bad, just very unique.

The quality of bombshells directly correlates to who submits. All those taking shots at the ones who are brave enough, submit your OWN pictures!

  15. people will always have something negative to say…..i like her style it fits her well and i will wear most of these looks with my own little twist

  16. @star she doesn’t make girls in Toronto look bad at all..I like Sasha’s confidence and her outfits..I’m from toronto and trust me there’s a lot worse by far. A lot of plus size girls wouldn’t even dare wearing a skirt or showing skin and for that I HAVE TO give Sasha her props ! Keep doing your thing girl cuz you be killin em !

  17. I love her! I think her style is adorable and works for her! You bottom feeders are always finding negative things to say about submissions, especially if they don’t include Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 dresses. Basic Females

  18. Sasha you are amazing! Your style is fun, cute, unique and unprecedented by far! You work with what you have and you do it in a fun and tasteful manner! Don’t let ANYONE ever tell you otherwise! Work it!!

  19. Love it, love it, love it. Love her body, and her fashion risk-taking definitely paid off. Her accessories add a lot of visual interest too. She exudes confidence which is beautiful!

  20. The necklace she has on with the blue sweater dress is HITTIN’! For the most part, I like her outfits. My only issues are… I wish the blue sweater dress was about 3-4 inches longer, and I’m not feeling the thigh highs.

  21. now i love me a big girl with style (partly becuase i am one lol) but i really cant on this one . the red lip is a go go but the shorts and the stocking are DOING THE MOST and i cant take it

  22. Well, I love her hair and makeup in the third pic. Everything else I was thinking has been said. Kudos to you for submitting pics.

  23. Well i like her style, however i believe she should takke some things into consideration. She has a very strong face that is large. I dont mean this in a funny way, I’m just stating it as a fact. And since she has a large face i believe that she shoul draw attention away from it. My issue with her style choices is that she emphasizes the wrong areas, therefore making her outfits look off.

  24. I too am from Toronto so it pains me to say this but girl, you are dead wrong for that! Dressing for your body does not mean wearing skinny girl clothes in size 16+. All that tight, spandex-y, shiny, see-through shit is NOT the business.

  25. a rock’em sock’em mess !!!! eveylook is an epic fail…. I don’t mean to be harsh, but no way is she a bombshell…. I’m sorry.

  26. the lace knee highs..not the business!! but otherwise cute..love the blue sweater and orange heel combo

  27. I just wanna know how many of y’all work in the fashion industry? I’m not talking about sewing your girlfriends 30th bday outfit on your mama’s sewing machine either. If you don’t like the fb’s then go ahead and submit your own pics and see how well yours are recieved. Some of y’all comment on every submission with something negative to say, yet I have never seen any of you submit anything.

  28. I love her confidence. She is also very aware of size. Everything she wore fit right. Get it girl!

  29. i always like the “bigger” bombshell. and although her style isn’t for me, i can appreciate the effort she puts. not only size 1 can be fashionable

  30. Not a fan. I hate expose bra especially when you have big breast speaking as a woman with big boobs. Also the shorts does nothing for your frame. You’re a short girl and the shorts showcase how short your legs are.

  31. Anyone else sick of big girls thinking they have a corner on “curves” – believe it or not, not all thick girls are curvy & you don’t have to be big to have curves!

  32. What stands out hte most is she seems really happy and positive in most of her pics. Which is better than the girls who stand in an akward (trying to model) pose either staring into no mans’ land or with an androgynous look on their face likfe they were doing a photoshoot in thier closet. And you all do go hard on plus size bombers….

  33. WHACKK!

She dresses to be trendy but doesn’t realize that half these outfits DO NOT flatter or suit her body.

She is not curve, she is top heavy with big legs. Shaped like a beer fridge

  34. This post made me sad for so many reasons. She is a cute girl, but this is not the business. The zebra print shoes almost made me cry, they look so cheap. She has great ideas but pulling them off is the problem. Dead at the sweater outfit with no pants. Why? why? why?

  35. Cute style – some of the outfits are a little too much for me, but overall I feel Sasha has her own style of dress. She carries it well. Loved the black & white skirt with the zebra boots.

  36. I like her confidence and that’s why she’s making some outfits work. I still think that an essence of fashion is knowing what suits your body. Those thigh high stocking are not working for me and her legs look a lot better in matte tights than those shiny ones she’s wearing the denim shorts!

I do have to say that I am absolutely in love with those orange heels! BTW, I’m kind of new here. Does everyone get featured if they submit? Might thinking of submitting myself, hihi

  37. I’m taking in all the comments and I feel a bit of haterade is being sipped. Like seriously. This girl is not wearing something too tight or looks anything less than gorgeous. She was clearly chosen for fashion bombshell for a reason. Maybe you should try giving her good comments instead of questioning why she was chosen. Stop inhaling bullshit haterade fumes and congratulate her.

  38. If I may suggest something…outfit one, like the idea but I would change the thigh highs to matted black or colored tights and maybe add some riding boots ( brown or black) outfit two..first off I have big boobs and high neck lines only make your big boots look bigger which is why I don’t wear any turtle necks. With that said, I would go for a deep neck line like a v neck and a good bra that will separate to show just enough cleavage. And that jean jacket looks kinda cheap and dated, I would add a blazer, cropped leather or a colored blazer, and lose the shoes add some pumps. Outfit three feather earrings *sigh* so trendy, over it. Love the leather jacket but if paired with some black liquid leather leggings or maybe some all black jeans or red jeans or maybe some harem pants…fly! Outfit four … love it! Love the colors, the head scarf and love the sweater dress paired with the matted leggings and the necklace. Love it. Simple and classic! Outfit five…umm that sweater is doing nothing for you body type and makes you look top heavy. I love the fact that you are a vintage fan and not afraid to take fashion risks…..outfit six….I don’t know what to say….thats all over the place…not bashing just saying my.opinion….

  39. WOW i think she dresses size appropriate. Yall being mean for no reason. She has some questionable pieces but her over all style is on point. Great skin and hair also…..

  40. Sometimes I don’t understand the visitors on this blog. One day someone can be featured that may look like a homeless person and the comments are so positive. Then you have someone like this young lady who should’ve chosen a different shoe on one outfit and yall ready to throw her to the wolves…..

  41. She doesn’t have a bad shape at all! She’s obviously very busty; I’d love to see something that accentuates her waist more. I’m very bottom heavy so if I wear something tight on the bottom I go for a loose top, or vice versa, to balance it out. There’s definitely a beautiful shape under there, just try different silhouettes!

  42. i am from canada hell no, hell no. This is not confidence to me insecurities written all over this one.Trying way to hard to be sexy, very sad.

  43. If Claire had to post someone who decided to submit their pics and was a bombshell to y’all standards it would be more like bombshell of the month/season

  44. I see in Canada they mistake “you’re” for “your” too. Must be a North American epidemic. Pretty girl, but the outfits are no bueno.

  45. I LIKE!! I know we all LOVE fashion but some of yall are taking it too seriously!! Can we critique w/o being harsh???

  46. I agree with J_Cutie…Please…I am sooo tired off reading how disappointed you are…This is for fun too remember!!! Fashion is suppose to be fun too!

  47. And I think she looks great! I love her style and color choices! Plus whoever thinks shes being too sexy GTFOH….Really?? She does not look like she’s trying hard to be sexy. Shes wearing sweaters in most of the pics for Goodness sake!

  48. I LOVE THIS BOMBSHELL!!!!!! You’re confident and that’s the sexiest part! WUUURRRRRKKKKKK!!!!

  49. Overweight is NOT synonymous w/curvy! Please stop it! These ensembles are ill fitting and poorly executed…

  50. Cute girl…not a fan of the shorts and thigh high panty hose.

Claire, don’t listen to these folks. It’s your website. If people submit photos and want to be a fashionbombshell you should go ahead and feature them no matter what. I think most people who submit their photos know what type of feedback they’re likely to get, so its fair game.

  51. Wow, I just read all the comments and although its a free country, a lot of you sound pretty harsh to me! From seeing her pics n keeping up with her blog, I can see she’s totallt confident in ANY outfit she puts together! A lot of plus siZe girls have low self esteem because they feel like they are “limited” as to what they can wear. But Sasha pulls it off flawlessly, n i think she looks great :)

  52. First OFF,
Don’t talk about somebody being overweight! How dare you! Focus how style and fashion, please & thanks!

I love that she exudes confidence! The teal sweater is gorgeous! Your looks can be a bit more polished. I don’t like the striped shoes with the striped skirt, it would have looked better if you wore the red pumps with the skirt instead. Also, just some advice be mindful of how high you wear your skirts. Your skirts should not sit right under your bust, just doesn’t look right at all.

  53. I’m not sure how you can seperate weight and style when the clothes are on your body…hmmm. Like a previous post stated the clothes are ill fitted and do NOT compliment her body shape. I’m all for loving the skin your in but there are mutiple ways to achieve a fashionable style while doing so.

  54. I agree with the comment she made that fashion comes in every size however I dont like her style at all, there are alot of big girls who are fashion bombshell and this isn’t one of them.

  55. Super cute, although Im not a fan of the whole thigh high nylons with casual wear. Not exactly my cup of tea but I think Sasha definitely has flair. Gotta love a gal that takes risks. Pretty smile too!

  56. I’m sorry, DWL @ beer fridge, even tho I don’t agree one little bit. quit hating for 5 measly seconds, & see that this girl has a cute lil figure. maybe she isn’t brand new, but she looks good. don’t live off her BS status, get your own!

  57. I too am from Tonto and am deeply sighing. I love her confidence but I do not love the ‘fashion sense’. Everything has been said…I agree with @star. I feel sad.

  58. From Toronto here…do your thing sis, but not my personal style at all. I don’t think the pieces quite compliment your figure, but your confidence is going strong.

  59. @ yonnie ” (REPEAT) I’m not sure how you can seperate weight and style when the clothes are on your body…hmmm. Like a previous post stated the clothes are ill fitted and do NOT compliment her body shape. I’m all for loving the skin your in but there are mutiple ways to achieve a fashionable style while doing so.

totally lost for words I dont understand how the site just uploads anyone photos and make them think they are th BOMB of the day smh …. so i guess pets can be bombshells of the day to? please this feature needs improvement RAPIDO

  60. This is for all the negative Nancy’s. It’s called personal style, so it doesn’t matter if you like it or not. And who are all of you to say when and what Sasha should wear, if she wants to wear shorts while there is snow on the ground-SO BE IT! Every girl who submits themselves on this site are obviously brave and confident women, that makes them beautiful by itself. I am always surprised at the “cyber courage” people get, telling her what not to wear again as if she would really listen to a complete stranger. Grow up and get a life, or better yet submit some pics of yourself and let’s see if you could handle the negativity.

  61. I think allowing a voting system and even allowing the people who work for Fashion Bomb Daily to add their negative two cents (“I can’t condone leggings as pants”-who asked you to? or “you definitely have some misses”-according to who?) only condones the situation. This is just my opinion. My name is Pretty Girl and I approve this message.

  62. I am sorry. I love confidence in a woman, but I just cannot get wit this. She has a short neck, the best way to emphasize your neck would be to show the skin around it and just really hold your head higher. Only the black blouse and the black jacket make it seem as if her head isn’t sitting directly on her torso.

Second, that pink lipstick is not for you honey, and neither is pouting. It makes your face look very unattractive. Smiling and red lipstick are your friend, so I think any color would work as long as the color is not a nude. Nude colors seem to enlarge your mouth to as I said unattractive proportions.

I like her accessories, such as the earrings, hair things and bracelets, but the necklaces as I said before do nothing good for her. Shoe should look in to longer version because they are pretty just not that short on her.

Shoe game is on point (but it falls flat if the outfit isn’t).
Then the clothes (because to me fashion isn’t about just the clothiers, someone has to wear ’em and pair it with a look. Consisting of make up accessories and what not). Looser fitting short would have been better, and the stockings…you know what that looks like. Those are only for the bedroom or not to be seen under your dress or clothes or something, but not like this. Really.

I said sorry, but you’re almost there. And your hair is very pretty.

  63. I love to see the various bombshells. If it’s something that’s not my cup of tea, it helps me see what not to wear plus I get a good laugh that day. If it’s something I like then I am off to stalk the FB blog.

I don’t know the FB process but I don’t think it’s Claire’s responsibility to prescreen the applicants. She just gets to see him/her first. That’s why there is a poll at the end of each segment so that we can collectively vote – good, bad or indifferent. Some ppl take this too seriously!

  64. Some of your fits are not very flattering. Everything is not for everybody. But on a good note, I do love the scarf tied into a hairbow. It’s cute.

  65. You guys are just some haters! This girl has style! Most of the people making the negative comments are probably PLAIN JANES, that wish they could be this BOLD! Have a seat!
