Our Bombshell for July 14, 2010 is Takiya from Boston, MA:

She says, “If I had to describe my style I would say I’m a new age hippie with the hygiene they were lacking in the 60’s.”

“I don’t have a fancy camera and typically find myself taking pictures simply to let people know I’m alive on Facebook and I’m sorta vain. Just joshing you!!!!”

“I love color, I love print, and find that shoes, clothes, and accessories make an outfit, but if your face doesn’t play it’s part in your overall look, you missed your mark.”

“Till next time. Besos.”
Your style is cute and simple. Loving your heels with those red pants!

  1. I really like the cat-eye sunglasses in the first picture. I need to get me some of that! And the white lace dress in the last one. It does look a bit short though. I would probably wear it with either white shorts or jeans shorts :-)

she has a very lovable and sounds funny as well!

  2. Well she seems to have a great personality, but her style is……… questionable!!!!!! Just my OPINION.

  3. That second outfit is not the business. Too tight. Maybe with a looser, flowy top instead of that tank. The tank is too damn tight. Other than that, she seems effortlessly chic.

  4. dont get me wrong, shes a cute girl and her 3rd outfit is “cute,” but this isnt anything special…im from boston and trust me there are a lot of girls doing MUCH bigger things than this…lately the fashion bombshells of the day have been blahhhhh…its deff time to up the standards and actually start showcasing FASHION BOMBSHELLS!!!

  5. Thanks for the shootout’s, I appreciate all the comments as well as the constructive criticism.

“Anonymous” from Boston, no doubt, there are probably women who’s fashion screams fashion bomb daily, maybe even more than me, however, I’ve yet to see any submissions from any of these Bostonians.

It may come off a bit defensive, but I think people use the word “fashionable” only to describe people who are walking talking advertisement from aldo, express, and forever21, with a shy hint of “vintage”.

Boston has an eclectic take on fashion, similar to New York and DC. There’s room for hipsters and HMer’s.
It’s just what works for you.

    Besos

  6. seriously?! umm..what there not anything better than this. Im not saying I’m just saying

  7. Not bad. I like her shades in the first picture, and style seems casual and effortless.

  8. I think her style is cute and suits her well. I think it fits her personality and she seem sweet and warm.
I belive tha to each is their own. and for those people that always have negative to say I wonder who died and made you fashion police? I think that if you have nothing nice to say keep it to yourself. And if you think you can do better why don’t you send in your pictures of yourselves and let the world judge you see how you like that ish.
I am not a fan of people and their negative inputs.
    Thats my opinion.

  9. umm…next. I see where she is trying to go with her style but it doesn’t look like she’s quite there yet

  10. EPIC FAIL, w/the exception of perhaps the white dress, her clothing is ill-fitting and anti-flattering

  11. @ashlen- you know what i’m irritated by? people who think they’re the morality police, constantly trying to shame other adults for saying what they think. this isn’t pre-school, if someone isn’t a fan of someone’s style, they should be able to say it. if you like cloying phoniness, that’s your problem. i don’t feel bad about saying what i think because this is the commentary section on a fashion blog and it literally says “what do you think?” in the future, why don’t you just skip through the “negative” comments. no one should have to refrain from saying what they want to say just because it bothers YOU.

  12. For those who’ve said “on to the next” and “Epic Fail”, plz plz plz submit your photos and I hope we can comment just as highly as you do.

Not all styles will be the same and there are things that people would dare never wear…but for those who claim to know fashion I’ve yet to see you be so bold to submit photos.
