Today’s Bombshell is blogger and mother Sarah from Florida:

She says, “ I’m a 21-year-old single mother of a 2 year old. I also attend college full time at the university of South Florida majoring in business management.”

“… Fashion has always been an industry I felt destined for. I would cut up my Barbie’s clothes and make them new, and even got in trouble for doing the same to my own.”

“… I would have to say I never stick to a mold, because I feel fashion is free and labels just restrict the possibilities you have to become a stylish person.”

“I love bright colors, they are my favorite thing, besides denim. I also have had to learn that as a mom and college student, budgeting is crucial. I’m a recessionista. I stick to stores that I know have great quality at low prices, but I also love thrift shopping, or my favorite term, Goodwill Hunting. I’ve gotten all of my colorful blazers from there, and even a sequined jacket. I would hope that by my daughter seeing me take risks and dressing different from the average black woman in my town, she will grow up with the confidence to be who she wants to be.”

What a cute little girl and a cute selection of outfits. You have such a unique look! I love your sequined jacket and matching blue pumps in the first pic. Snazzy!

  1. Aww! You look Cute. Very Unique and I am a little bias because you attend the school that I graduated from last year!! Go Bulls!!

  2. LOVE THE JACKET IN THE FIRST PICS .. AND YOUR DAUGHTER IM FOR SURE WILL ADAPT YOUR STYLE CUZ SHE IS “FAB- U – LOUSSS” LIKE WHAT MY LIL GIRL ALWAYS SAYS ..LOL

  3. I love the fact that she’s not afraid of color and that she’s seems to be a risk taker when it comes to her look. With that being said I must admit that I’m not really feeling her fashion choices but that’s just my opinion.

  4. Awww, that’s inspirational! I love the comment about letting your daughter see something different than everyone else. I wish I had your confidence when I was 21!! :) Little mama is a cutie pie! Much respect

  5. I think she should be careful of choosing looks that age her. The sequin jacket, floral shirt and shorts make her look ten years older. Other than that, good sense of style.

  6. this is a HOT DAMN MESS and YOU ALL KNOW IT!

the shorts look like MAMMY JEANS
the square sequin blazer makes her look like the TASMANIAN DEVIL
the tank top and the skirt make her look EVEN MORE LIKE THE TASMANIAN DEVIL- ALL BIG in the CHEST AND BACK and then some damn toothpick legs

*****EPIC FAIL***** in the areas of fit, flattery and fashion

  7. I love the risks she’s taking and absolutely respect her for her words of wisdom :)

  8. OMG, I’ve been so busy hustling that I definitely missed my own feature. Thanks for everyone’s opinions. I respect everyone here and I am definitely loving the constructive critiques. Thank you Claire for featuring me :) I’m appreciative and honored.

  9. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however, didn’t Claire cut the comments because people were bashing the last time. It’s one thing to give CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM but being rude is not being “real” it’s just being rude. There is a little thing called tact and respect that should be expressed here.

  10. what a cute little baby!

as for the mom, not really my cup of tea, but i like the shoes in the first pic.

  11. awww!! You have great style and your daughter is ADORABLE! best of luck in your business studies – go you!!

  12. Anybody who says you don’t have style must be blind (or hating!!)…..Love the colors and how you put the outfits together……I’m not really fond of the sequented Jacket, but those blue pumps are the works!! Love it!
