Today’s Bombshell is down south diva Marisa from Macon, Georgia:

The graphic designer, fashion illustrator, and accessories designer says, “ I have a big passion for Fashion, Art, and Design.”

“…My style is a little mixture of lady-like pieces things paired with edgy accessories.”

” I love mixing my grandmother’s vintage jewelry with my spikes or chains…”

“The juxtaposition creates interest and it allows me to keep her with me on a daily basis.”

I LOVE those Kandee Peanut Crunch Sandals. I’m about to hop on ASOS and buy ’em!

  1. First and second pics are cute outfits. Would be waayyy cuter if she had the right accessories. Cute & simple! I like it. I do not like the last look tho. That woolly mammoth has got to go!

  2. I think Marisa looks great. I especially love her in those spiked, leopard sandals. Her look is very effortless and chill. I’m a fan of that. Now, I’ve visited the FBD for quite some time now, and I think this might be the first time I comment on a bombshell. Simply because I couldn’t stand my comment being lost among a pool of comments spewing negativity and speaking on things absolutely irrelevant to what the bombshell series is about. For example, a few comments above me, “this a man”, “is something wrong with her neck”. Are we serious here? That’s irrelevant

  3. OMG @ Porsche, now that you’ve pointed that out…ummm…I think the 4th pic gives it away. Gorgy nonetheless. I adore the emsemble in the 2nd pic.

  4. Normally, I would think that y’all were hating….but upon further review, I believe that is A MAN! Lol, cute style nonetheless, although I feel like something is missing from each outfit.

  5. Her neck is killin me style simple but dam that neck it looks like she doesnt have one needs to work on pose that helps with the wardrobe

  6. Not bad. I can dig most of it

For the sake of this person’s self esteem, I pray that this is a man based on the comments. Yall rude as hell!

  7. Now that explains the lack of neck in the imagesssssssssssssssssssssssss…. and you know how the GIRLS do in GA!!!!!!

  8. He or she looks very uncomfortable in front of the camera……..this kind of skinny isn’t attractive at all and none of the outfits appeal to me. JUST.NO. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>go that way

  9. After going through her blog, she clearly has pictures of herself. She is not a man. And if she is, shouldnt matter. This is a fashion site. I feel mad bad for her. Werk hunny, you are Pretty!

  10. Unless u know her /him personally , making the assumption that she’s a man is very rude and cruel, y’all should be ashamed of yourself. SMH anywhoo, she got some cute pieces, style overall ain’t polished enough for my taste, but she makes it work for herself.

  11. where shall I begin? This is style! Not because anything is trendy or stands out but because she looks comfortable in her clothes and thus makes her “look” radiate even more. I love the triangle clutch and the jeans, fur vest and plaid shirt is amazing. So amazing that its in my queue right now as a post for the blog. I did the same look a few days ago and have yet to post. You look great dear and keep doing your thing…..

p.s. where did you get the dress form? Ive been searching for one for my room!!!!

  12. I love the outfit with the red pants, purse, shoes all of that!!! And some of you can be extremely petty and rude. The point of the comments section is to talk about the FASHION not sexual orientation, religious views, or anything else. Next time show a little class because I’m sure if someone said that about you, you would definitely be pissed and feel disrespected.

  13. She is absolutely NOT a man, she’s been one of my closest friends since college. Marisa is very talented and genuinely good person. Congrats to her on her success and being chosen as a fashion bombshell!

To those of you who feel the need to leave such negative and hurtful comments, I sincerely hope you figure out what is really wrong with you on the inside. Congrats again Ris!

  14. I love her style great mix of color and texture. Her outfits don’t scream I’m trying too hard. Love the mix of vintage like pieces with classic and modern touches.

  15. First off, some of these comments are down right appalling. People say such nasty and hateful things in hopes of getting a few laughs or co-signs from the proverbial peanut gallery. I feel bad for Marisa, who doesn’t deserve that, but I feel even worse for the people who feel it necessary to belittle others in order to have a few seconds of attention…so disgusting!

Marisa, you have some very nice pieces and a very good sense of style. You look great honey and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise!

  16. Wow Marisa’s looks are my fav after a long time! Each outfit is on point and I LOVE that triangle clutch. (sidenote: I like the mannequin in your room! i’ve been on the search for one to decorate my room with)

  17. Goodness some of u are so freaking hateful! I would loveeee to see what some of u look like…good job Marisa on even having the courage to submit ur pics, u remind me of Tracee Ellis Ross and like her ur style ROCKS!!!

  18. you guys are being way to sensitive, the picture is unflattering, I can understand why someone may think that about her in the 4th picture, you request to put ur pictures on a website your going to get negativity back, its life, not all feedback will be positive. But the way the man comments were made, it was not even said in a mean way, or bashing her. (i didnt write the comments i just read them) But her style looks like it missing something, I guess its kind of dull.

  19. I love coming to this site and reading the comments because they’re usually positive and if they are critical, it’s never rude or mean spirited. Please, if you must make nasty comments about people anonymously, do it on another blog, they’d love to have you! Being critical is one thing, intentionally hurting someones feelings for a ‘like’ makes me wonder about you! With that being said, I think she has some great pieces but seems to be a bit nervous. Girl, i’d kill for your hair and that lean body! I love the triangle clutch and long black skirt! You betta werk!!

  20. Her looks seem somewhat unpolished and unfinished. She doesn’t look horrible, just not FB worthy….

  21. thanks so much for all the comments guys, I truly appreciate the love and support and the CONSTRUCTIVE critism from the FBD readers…and to address Porche, I have the correct chromosome to prove i’m a WOMAN..LOL…the fact that I’m even addressing it is hilarious but what would the internet be without people like you ;)

To answer some the other questions:
*The Pyramid Studded Clutch is a clutch that I made (isnprired by the Alaxander Wang Pyramid)

*The Leopard platform heels with spikes are by Kandee

    Blessings & infinite light :D
    -M

  22. I like the look, very simple, yet bold! I do think her confidence isn’t projected in these photos, but I am sure she is a fierce diva at heart!!!

  23. Cute girl…nice pieces….typical fashion blogger swag….well at least like the ones in my Google Reader. lol! Going check her blog now. Love her classy yet slight shade throwing comment, tho.

  24. Wow speechless at the man comment so classless and hurtful anyway she has great style kudis to you for having the guts to put your pics up!

  25. I think that she has an easy going style and she focuses on statement pieces. Pretty nice! Although I don’t know her… she reps my hometown – Macon, GA Mac-town! That makes it all the better. She looks much better than some of the other FB I’ve seen lately… Then she made that clutch herself!! Work… <3 <3 <3!! Don't worry 'bout the haters!

  26. Ok, I’m sorry. This woman’s sex shouldn’t have been brought up, but I have to admit that Marisa’s last post confused me. You have the Y chromosome to prove you’re a woman?

Anyway, I think you’re beautiful, love the triangle clutch and the leopard print sandals :)

  27. @ KAT I see where you’re coming from. Males are the ones with XY chromosomes and females XX… Anywho, her style is cool with me… cute. Love the triangle clutch. I’m mad I never bought the Alexander Wang Darla Pyramid clutch. I will forever have nightmares for not buying one.

  28. First off, let me say my intentions were not to be mean nor hurtful. I have no problem with gays and transgenders. Not saying she is and if so, that’s her business. Sorry to whom I may have offended…

  29. Down to earth and kinda like a bohemian flare to it. My aunt lives in Macon, and believe me it’s the country! she dresses better compared to the rednecks that shop at walmart and Target on a good day.

  30. A fashion bomb with my name (I think) AND from my kin folk’s side of town (Macon)??! I’m in! Cute girl…

  31. She’s beautiful!…I’ve said this before on a previous fashion bombshell…some things people should keep to themselves….

  32. I love your style marisa! i have that same gap top and you’re making me want some red skinnies to go with it!
