I can only assume, Claire, you like to include all aesthetics when posting these submission. I can’t imagine why else you would post these. For someone who just made the most inspiring fashion blog list….this is just very uninspiring. Would you recreate any of these looks yourself???
Her pictures are not of good quality. They are almost too candid.
This makes my heart weep. She has a lovely smile though!
The picture quality really does make the difference as well as the poses/facial expressions. The way you pose and your facial expressions can become distracting, making me look at and wonder about everything but your style.
The yellow dress is great, but I think her back is ashy? Moisturizing the back is difficult.
There’s some great individual pieces, but the overall submission doesn’t do it for me.
This is an absolute no for me. Other than that I have nothing to say.
With most of the looks, I saw what direction you were headed; but I simply don’t think the intent was executed well.
I think you have the right idea, but perhaps a little more inspiration from high end fashion mags could make the difference.
Honestly really was rooting for this sister. However, some of the pieces were ill-fitting or did not flatter her physique. Collectively some outfits looked a little gimmicky. She has potential tho! And a lovely smile to match!
hmmm, a lot of great pieces. Some styled better than others. She also doesn’t highlight her small waist enough.

@KBS….I totally agree with you. I just don’t get it. Uninspiring. I do understand that everyone has a point of view when it comes to fashion but I just find it hard to believe out all of the submissions sent in to Fashionbomb that Claire looks at this, and finds this inspiring. This is not a “you can’t sit with us” dig but please I implore of you to do a bit better.

I’m going to need people to stop leaving ridiculously harsh comments. Some of you sound like you like to kick puppies in your spare time. Submit pictures of your own style for us all to marvel at.

I agree with @Pow. Some of these comments are way over the top and disrespectful. FBD is supposed to be an inclusive site for men and women of color who are often ignored and disrespected on other fashion blogs and these comments completely defeat the purpose of this site. If you can’t see the submissions sent in, you should not judge Claire on who she chooses. Bombshells are not styled and photographed by Claire. I hope everyone with mean-spirited comments has submitted their photos already.

Actually liked the concept of the dress under the skirt. Would love to see another submission in a year or two.
