Hey Hey!
So I received an e-mail a few weeks ago asking me to participate in a new fitness program called NYLean25. Conceived for the super busy girl or guy on the go, NYLean25 workouts last only 25 minutes and involve short spurts of interval training tailored to be super effective.

My only requirements were to go to three classes a week for a month, and follow a diet plan of healthy eating on the three days I took the course. With testimonials vowing 15 pound weight loss in 6 weeks (and with spring drawing near), I figured…why not?

I rushed to their Harlem location at Twirl Fitness Lounge (2303 7th Avenue between 135th and 136th) this past Friday and got to work:

The instructor wasted no time getting moving!

We hopped up and down, alternating between football runs, shoulder lifts, push ups, squats, and abdominals.

I’ve been going strong at Crunch Gym for about five weeks now, so I felt I’d be pretty prepared. Still, I broke out into a serious sweat.

The next day I was sore, achy, the works. All the signs of a good workout!

I can’t wait to continue my fitness journey with NYLean25 and tell you about it along the way. I’m pretty happy with my size, but would love to slim down my stomach and also get super defined arms (I’m thinking Angela Bassett ca. Stella Got her Groove Back). I’ll take another picture at the end–we’ll see if it worked!

If you’re in New York and intrigued, NYLean25 is a super easy way to get in shape–quickly. You can drop in and pay $20 per class, or buy an 18 class/8 week package for $225 or a 36 class/16 week package for $360. They also have convenient locations in Tribeca, Soho, Chelsea, and Harlem. If you’re trying to get right by the summertime, the time is now.

I’ll probably dip into the Tribeca location every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I’ll let you know how it goes!

  1. This is the weirdest thing, but you look so much prettier in these simple pics than when you are all dolled up..odd!

  2. I agree w/ Starla u look so natural and beautiful in these pics. I have 2 try what u are doing i feel so out of shape. :(

  3. Starla I agree! Sometimes clothes take all the attention away. You really are beautiful Claire.

  4. eh, i think she looks good in both. Dolling up speaks to a different occasion, shes not going to go out wearing gym clothes all the time.

    fashion is her business.

  5. Claire I saw you breifly at the BK museum..you walk damn fast btw lol..but you look seriously slim and trim…keep up the great work. : )

  6. @Zena, yep I moved back to the States last September, moved back to New York in December.
@Haviland, next time say hi!!! Hope you had fun at the Bk museum.
@Everybody else: thank ya kindly!! I really wasn’t expecting such nice comments on my sweaty pix, but I appreciate your kind words.
