Happy Monday!
Today’s Bombshell is one of Brooklyn’s best! Check out Madame Amber, a blogger for www.Beautyandthestreetmag.blogspot.com:

She writes, “My style is very eclectic but I am mainly inspired by all aspects of street culture and music.”

“…I love mixing different styles together to create a look that is unique to my personal aesthetic.”

” For example, I will wear vintage trousers in a bright color or print with a plain white t-shirt, lots of jewelry, and extremely dark or extremely bright lipstick. I’m also a bit of a tomboy so everything I wear has to have a boyish edge to it.”

” If I wear a dress and heels I’ll throw on a beat up leather jacket or if I’m wearing tight jeans my shirt will be a bit baggy.”

” I tend to be drawn to things that most people shy away from like an old shirt in an outdated pattern or ugly Christmas sweaters. I’m all about taking chances, you live once why the hell not?”

” Fashion wise I look up to Slash from Guns n Roses and Kelis. Rock & Roll and Hip-hop play a huge part of my life especially my style.”

Different, funky, I like! I think you’re probably the first Bombshell to cite Slash from Guns N Roses as a style inspiration, but it works, and I can see it!

  1. This post needs to be called “How many ways to wear a black leather jacket”

  2. i like her style, but she really shouldnt have included her leather jacket in every single look.

  3. Very similar looks, id have loved 2 see skirts, cutes dress, nice heels, but since she’s a tomboy, i guess

  4. I didn’t like most of the outfits (although I did like a few of her pieces) however, I guess I can see where she is going with her look. She certainly isn’t the worst dressed bombshell I’ve seen on here.

Moving on, most of her looks were KILLED because of those ill fitting TOM’s. Those shoes are absolutely horrid and for some reason they look even worse on her….I’m not sure if they aren’t the right size but they just look out of shape and sloppy….yikes!

  5. I looked at the Tom’s again….they are like caved in on the sides…..just awful…..

  6. Really though that leather jacket in all the pictures? Snooze fest. Plus there’s something ‘hoboish’ to her style.

  7. She likes her leather jacket… Also it might be time to let those Toms go. Shes worn her money’s worth and then some..

  8. She has her own look and style. I appreciate it. It still needs to some fine tuning (fit of her pants, variation of pieces etc.) This is going to sound so weird, but I do not like any of her heels, for some reason it seems that too much of her foot is showing if that makes sense. A little more tuning, and she will have a style to call her own. Not a replica of BBW or RHOA etc. and I’ll always appreciate that.

  9. Hmm…. alot of look going on but I don’t see much of a “style” cute girl but she just has to study more and find a style.

  10. She has an aesthetic and she stays true to it. I wouldn’t necesssarily wear these outfits, but I think she has developed a distinct personal style and executes it well. For this reason I vote… BOMBSHELL!

  11. I agree about the Toms. The company supports a wonderful cause, but they might just be the most terrible looking shoes ever. I definitely see where she’s going, but its not much different than what you’ll see walking around Berkeley’s campus or around Haight-Ashbury.

  12. I don’t see the fusion of rock meets hip hop, Slash meets Kelis in the photos she supplied. Would of been interesting though.

All she did was layer some pieces and throw a leather jacket over it. And not even a different leather jacket. I say more versatility. She’s flirting with it but she’s not married to her described look just yet.

  13. There are a lot of fit and style issues. Maybe with time and the right guidance she will grow.

  14. I will give her points for being true to her aesthetic…she carried it all the way thru on each picture. Not my taste, but I respect her dedication to her “personal” style.

  15. Tough crowd. She’s not urban sexy. And she’s not suburban secretary. She’s downtown edge. And in that vein, she, like Jamie said, is true to her aesthetic. I like it. It’s young and funky.

  16. no way, no how is anyone looking at that and getting inspired or wanting to replicate that in anyway! NO MA’AM!

  17. After revisiting, I’ve gathered my thoughts…I think my main concern are the fit issues and the quality of most of the pieces. Less with better quality is definitely more. I like that she has committed to a style, however if say, leather coats are your thing invest in a nice quality jackets…it will make all the difference when mixing with thrift or less expensive finds. Also, I don’t really care for the messiness of the hair. I think there is a way to have a grunge or rugid look without looking … A little more refinement and she’s on her way.

  18. She is showing off her individual style which is cute minus the obsessive use of that darn jaket. Please put it to rest…its killing some of your looks :-/

  19. I think she tries to hard to stay trendy and non of her outfits are unique.. its so annoying everyone dress the same now and days

  20. I appreciate her style because she looks comfortable. I hate to see and hear imature comments coming from indiviuals that think their the dopes thing on earth and fashionistas. Why don’t you post ur style and receive feedbacks. REFERing to imature fake fashion wannabes.

  21. I like that she’s being an individual and I think that’s mostly what fashion is about. You can’t look like everyone else out there and expect to truly represent yourself. I didn’t like all the looks she had but I admire her dedication to dressing like herself :)

  22. doing WAY TOO MUCH>….that can be a good thing though. But these few just not well put together, could have not been your best #ijs

  23. This is NOT Fashion! Throwing on clothes and not caring does not count. I’ve seen plenty rock the “edgy”, “rocker”, “Downtown” cool look, and execute it well. All the looks did not wash too well for me. She has no style, other than trying to emulate someone else’s. She mixed way too many patterns, prints, and colors for me. She needs to find clothes that fit her silhouette better. She needs help from Rachel Zoe or June Ambrose… Her style is also a little juvenile for me as well. I give her credit for trying, but that’s about it!
