  1. Question: Would you or any visitors of this site know of any bloggers that are based in NYC? Please share.

As the weather starts to change, I’d like to see what others are wearing in pedestrian cities like this one. The blogs I have been following are nice to look at, but I cant draw any inspiration from them because they are living in these sunny cities and are wearing heels. As a NYer, I cannot relate to that.

  2. @LouLou First off, thanks for the feedback! The first blogger that comes to mind, at the mention of New York, was Helena Glazer of Brooklyn Blonde.(brooklynblonde.com) Check her out and let me know what you think! Fashion Steele NYC is also a New York based blog.

  3. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it. Very typical California girl. None of her looks leap off the page at me. I am so so over peplum. A pencil skirt and a sweatshirt, so 2012. I appreciate her, appreciation for print but sis this is so dated and whack. I am looking at the printed peplum dress, looks as if it’s a great piece, but it’s overshadowed by an oversize leather jacket and a basic black pump. Although, I do admire the Stella McCartney inspired skirt, this is by far the best look. Everything else is so basic! Yeah lets wrap a plaid shirt around my waist, and slip on a colorful sweatshirt. The Kardashian wore that trend to death last year when they were trying to promote their never ending brands. Then the icing on the cake is the last black and white dress. What were you thinking? Are you attempting to juxdapose with grunge. I DO GET!

Claire is a gracious and generous blogger. I appreciate you paying it forward Claire. But you know I have to call it like I see it.

HEY, DID I MENTION I WAS OVER PEPLUM? YES ANOTHER 2012 TREND.. Let it go..

  4. I love her style as well. I visited her FB page and it’s filled with gorgeous images. She and I “speak the same visual language.” Thanks for introducing her to us here.

I know we all come here for the latest in fashion, but not everybody wears trends “up-to-the-minute” like celebs do. This young lady has great style that translates to everyday folk. Besides, personally, I’m not a wear it once and never wear it again kinda girl. So certain pieces in my closet get worn again and again and then some. LOL. Again, love the post…thanks!

  5. No boo boo.. I am a true Fashionista! But @DeeDee I realize without the mediocre there wouldn’t be the fabulous! I encourage you to reflect about what is average and what is extraordinary. The masses appreciate average, while the Elite can make the distinction between average and extraordinary. Sorry to have killed your buzz. LOL Sincerely..

But if you honesty found a flaw in my critique, I encourage you to rebuttle my opinion. What did you love about her looks? What about it, did you love? Now that is much more constructive than “Buzz Kill”. But I know I have to lower my expectation for the average.

  6. Esmesha you’ve just made my week!

Thank you for featuring a woman I honestly believe is going to be one of the greatest influences for women across the globe who understand the differences between elegance, fashion and style.

Krystal possesses many of us with good credit and credit cards limits do not – innate style.

Sprinkles of love from this Zimbabwean Down Under :)

  7. Love her style. Daring prints and great mix & match. Shoes are awesome. Her style is her way of saying who she is.

    @S Agreed.

@TheFashionistachic You called yourself a true fashionista?! Saw your blog, you gotta be kidding me. Your hair, makeup and style are totally out. Between, it is “juxtaposed”.

“Peplum first came into fashion during the Victorian Era in 1867. It’s not some new trend. It’s been there for so long.”

“Style is very personal. It has nothing to do with fashion. Fashion fades. Style is eternal.”

  8. Esmesha, please consider Shirley Eniang of Shirley’s wardrobe and/or Song of Style. They are amazing bloggers!

  9. I know I already sugegsted BOMB bloggers but Esmesha, before you look those ones up, check out Ezinne Chinkata – http://zinkata.tumblr.com/ , instagram: zinkata1. You my dear Are.Gonna.Be.Blown.Away! She is simply amazing: unique style & great photography. We know Claire (or someone from the BOMB team) is a sucker for good photography ;). I’ll be checking back to see if you do indeed agree. Smooches. x
