The 47th NAACP Image awards are on now: are you watching?
Before the festivities, honorees glided on the red carpet, showing off resplendent gowns, shimmering with style. A lot of Tinseltown’s finest rolled out to the annual event.
Take a look:
Viola Davis posed next to Kerry Washington, with Viola in a white custom made St. John gown, hand embellished with 11,000 Swarovski crystals, and Kerry in Victoria Beckham. Hot looks for both ladies!
Laura Govan showed off her killer bod in a fringed peach Hamel gown, equipped with abdomen cut outs.
I almost got dizzy looking at Anita Hawkins’s black and white printed jumpsuit. Hmmm…what do you think?
Claudia Jordan has been looking hot lately! New Stylist? Her Eduardo Lucerola dress was fab!
Tracee Ellis Ross bet on black in a sequined Rubin Singer stunner and caged sandals.
Gabourey Sidibe shimmered in black sequins.
Keke Palmer debuted a shaved hairstyle and a Cristallini by Alina Cirstea corseted look. Hot! or Hmm…?
Gugu Mbatha-Raw had one of my favorite looks of the night in citrusy Narciso Rodriguez.
Serayah gave all sorts of bawdy awdy in Phillip Plein. She’s bad!
Benzino cleans up nice! He turned a traditional blazer and trousers on its head with a satin smoking jacket and degradé sunglasses.
Raise your hand if you’re obsessed with Grace Gealey! The Empire beauty looked wonderful in purple Ziad Nakad.
Amber Riley flashed a bit of skin in a crop top and a MarQ By MarQuette skirt.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Toccara out and about. Her waist is snatched, but she could’ve gone for a better fit in the bust.

Wendy Raquel Robinson looked like a golden goddess in this embellished beaut. Flaming hot! Yes!
Gabrielle Union stepped it up in a tulle accented number by Rita Vinieris.
Empire’s Ta’Rhonda Jones accessorized a high low berry frock with gold caged sandals.

Producer Shonda Rhimes wore a navy-hued floral print satin faced silk organza St. John gown.

Yara Shahidi laughed it up in a scribble printed strapless dress by Milly.
Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s gown was simple but stunning.
Red is definitely Sanaa Lathan’s color! She embodies the phrase red hot.
Eva Marcille is so gorgeous! Her Gregorio Sanchez gown was a mere footnote to her beauty.
Aujanue Ellis used the occasion to make a statement, urging Mississippi to take their flag down.

Nzingha Stewart couldn’t be missed in an African printed gown.
Yasss, Laverne Cox! Her custom Marc Bouwer look was stunning.
Kimberly Elise’s beauty was amplified by her blue embellished dress.
Chrissy Teigen isn’t letting pregnancy stop her sexy! She showed off her stems in a high slit dress by Haney.
Anthony Anderson skewed svelte in burgundy tones.
Jennifer Williams chose an Anaz Official dress for the night. She looks great!

Teyonah Parris looked elegant in head to toe Pedram Couture.
Bryshere Gray is such a snazzy young man. He looked bomb in an ensemble by Musika Frere (created by Former Bomber of the Year, Davidson Frere). I need those sunglasses!

Naturi Naughton showed off her decolletage in Galia Lahav.

Tika Sumpter was styled in Elie Saab.
Lastly, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith always light up the red carpet! Jada flaunted her tiny waist and envious clavicles in a frothy Marchesa dress, while Will complemented his wife in a Berluti dark green wool and mohair peak lapel smoking tuxedo jacket with matching trousers.
That does it! Who had your favorite look from the event?
