Celine Dion Wore an All White Monochromatic look to her ‘I Am: Celine Dion’ Premiere

The legendary Celine Dion premiered her “I am: Celine Dion” documentary during a special New York screening at the Alice Tully Hall this month, and the Canadian singer received a standing ovation.

Dion, who is one of the best voices of our time, and has faced challenges after being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, bared it all, taking attendees on a thought-provoking journey of her life.

The theater filled up quickly, with eager fans singing along to some of Celine’s wonderful hits like “I’m Alive” and “My Heart Will Go On” as they awaited for her documentary to debut.

The Director and Producer of the film, Irene Taylor walked on the stage, and shared her incredible experience working alongside Dion, in order to effectively depict her story.

When Celine surprised attendees and walked on the stage, the crowd went bananas, in awe of sharing space with an icon. Lavern Cox and Gayle King were among the many celebrities in attendance at the premiere.

Following Taylor and Dion’s introduction to the documentary, fans and media outlets were immersed in the film that begins with Celine talking about her struggles with her rare health condition.

From talking about how her chronic neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness has interfered with her vocal ability, to sharing family time with her sons, and walking us through her childhood, she was raw and unapologetic.

Celine, who comes from a large family of 13 brothers and sisters, shared some of the tribulations that her family endured. She recalled her mother being the backbone of the household, and always doing her best to ensure that they lacked nothing despite not always having the means.

She shared moments of her love life with her late husband René Angélil who passed in 2016. You could see through Celine’s eyes that she’s still deeply heartbroken by the loss.

Although the documentary had heavy moments that were quite emotional, it had many light moments too. Dion, who is a true fashionista at heart, walked attendees through her fashion warehouse that included renowned designers and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Her eye for fashion and love for shoes is evident as she humorously mentioned,

“When a girl loves her shoes, she always makes them fit. I have worn shoes my friend, where my toes were like this (crawled up), because they didn’t have my size,” said Dion. “Every time I went to a store and I love those shoes they would say what size are you ma’am? I‘d say no you don’t understanding, what size do you have? I will make them work, I will make them fit, I will walk the shoe, the shoe doesn’t walk me.”

The Celine Dion documentary on Amazon Prime is an absolute must see and will change your whole entire perspective about who Celine Dion is.

She is a FIGHTER, who is relentless, and the epitome of someone who will never give up- and for that WE LOVE HER!

Time Travel: George Clooney’s Wardrobe Throughout the Ages

George Clooney has entertained cinema audiences around the world as Seth Gecko in “From Dusk Till Dawn” and Fred Friendly in “Good Night, and Good Luck,” as well as characters in a whole bunch of other famous movies. Most notably, of course, he starred as Danny Ocean in the “Oceans” trilogy, where, rather than spend time learning blackjack strategy to win big at the casino tables, he’d prefer to earn his money by pulling off an outrageous simultaneous heist in the casinos of Las Vegas.

The handsome actor is one of the stylish men on the planet and not afraid to “Do you” when it comes to choosing his wardrobe. Below is a look at some of this style through the years.

The bold tie

In the 1990s and even the noughties, Clooney was courageous with formalwear. He’d wear grandad-collared shirts (it’s also noted he doesn’t like top buttons) under tuxedos. He’d don button-up sweater vests under oversized 1980s fits. One thing fashion fans noticed was his penchant for bold ties, like the character Patrick Bateman in “American Psycho.” This power move won him all the attention on the red carpet at movie awards ceremonies, no matter what his girlfriend was wearing at them. In later years, he’s gone more bow ties.

Double denim

In the late 1990s, Clooney was pulling off double denim, which isn’t easy to do without being laughed at. It’s an on-trend move that has made a comeback in the 2020s and is a mainstay in collections by Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and Versace. If you want to, go right ahead. Just remember Clooney did it first.

Weekend dad style

In 2019, Clooney was sporting a thick, ravishing beard and spotted wearing jeans, suede chukkas, a polo shirt and some casual brown shades. It was easy going and described as “weekend dad style.” It looked comfortable and was, and no doubt Clooney wanted a change from his “uniform,” discussed below. Anyone looking to get out of their “uniform” and still look stylish could take a leaf out of the Hollywood star’s book.

Gray Armani suit

British men’s magazine GQ has noted that Clooney has been gloriously consistent by having worn variations of the same suit for at least 20 years. Although Clooney has become known for wearing suits, it seems only GQ have picked up on this particular detail in Clooney’s wardrobe. Gray suit, dark shirt and black shoes: not exactly groundbreaking, but it’s consistent, which is want Clooney has aimed for. The actor may have flitted between baggy and skinny and back again when it comes to tailoring proportions in other styles, but he’s stayed the same suit-wise.

Some have commented that this suit is a type of uniform for him. It’s also noted that his wardrobe consists of lots of charcoals, blacks and greys, plus a crisp white shirt.

Branding and recommendations

Although Clooney can pull off just about any look, one thing you’ll have noticed about his style is the high level of minimalism. Nothing too loud or too fancy. If you were to copy his style, you might even worry you were coming off as boring. Don’t worry. If he can pull of minimalism, so can you. It’s all about simplicity but elegance.

For all the minimalism though, there are certain brands Mr Clooney is affiliated with or fond off. He loves an Armani suit, of course, and has had the brand design clothes for some of his roles. He even got married in Armani, which the clothing brand was happy to do because he looks so effortlessly cool in anything he wears.

Then there are accessories. Only the strictly necessary, in true Clooney style though. First of all, there are the Persol shades, which are a brand he recommends and is believed to be his favorite. You’ll often find a pair tucked in the top pocket of whatever he’s wearing. They look cool and young and offer a real state of relaxation.

Then there is the Omega watch. He loves Omega watches, a fact he doesn’t hide, and has partnered with the brand for more than 20 years. You’ll rarely see him without an Omega watch, if ever at all.

Although George Clooney may not have influenced the fashion industry itself, he has a reputation for dressing extremely well extremely easily. Many admire his style, including British non-serving Royal Family member Harry, who has borrowed a few sartorial tricks from the actor (as have many other men, no doubt).

When it comes to style, part of the magic of George Clooney’s style is in its simplicity. The other is in the personality behind it: he’s not following trends or trying to set them; he’s just being his authentic self, and if people don’t like what he’s wearing, that’s their problem. And people love him for that as much as for his films.

Beyoncé Wore a $470 Charo Ruiz Limmey Mini Dress with Miu Miu Shades and a New Bottega Bandana Print Bag While Vacationing in the Hamptons with Jay-Z (Shop Her Look Here)

Beyoncé exuded femininity and elegance while vacationing in the Hamptons with her hubby Jay-Z, and the two looked dangerously in love.

Matching in white and black ensembles as they walked towards their luxury boat, one would perhaps think that they were on the run.

Queen B broke character from her Cowboy inspired outfits for a change, and opted for a $470 white Retrofete Limmey short dress that had a bustier top and A-line silhouette.

The “I’m That Girl” singer accessorized with a white and black bandana scarf, and white Miu Mia cat-eye shades that gave her ensemble a vintage vibe. Her red and white Bottega Veneta bandana bag was the moment.

Mirroring his wife, Jay-Z looked effortlessly cool in a white graphic tee, with black cropped trousers, and a white bucket hat as he smoked his cigar and enjoyed the scenery.

The Hip-Hop duo has been working extremely hard this year so it’s great to see them vacationing and enjoying one another company.

We also loved how their looks coordinated with each other, as it showed them to be in synchronicity. It’s great to see that Bonnie & Clyde’s chemistry is still there after all these years!

On the Scene at 2024 Vogue World : Ciara in Custom Givenchy, Katy Perry in Noir Key Ninomiya, Teyana Taylor in Paco Rabanne, Becky G in Burc Akyol & More!

The Place Vendôme was turned into a magical scenery on Sunday as Vogue World: Paris put on a noteworthy show with modern and historical Parisian fashion at the forefront.

Vogue World is an epic live event that highlights Vogue’s cultural influence. Celebrities and influencers came together to immerse in the fantastical show led with memorable performances.

Vogue Global Editorial Director and Condé Nast Chief Content Officer Anna Wintour stood confidently in a floral Chanel maxi dress with her signature bob haircut, as the event was set to begin.

During a conference back in February Wintour expressed,

“If Vogue World: New York was a street fair, and Vogue World: London was a glamorous night at the theater—supporting arts and cultural organizations in London—Paris will be a kind of opening ceremony; one that celebrates 100 years of fashion and sport, as well as this extraordinary city,”

With the 2024 Summer Olympics on the horizon, we saw a myriad of sports woven in and highlighted into the show. Think gymnastic, tennis, fencing and cycling all perfectly choreographed into performances by renowned dancer, Parris Goebel.

Creative Director, Teyana Taylor brought the heat, drama and exceptional dance moves to the stage. She sashayed across the cobble stone ground in a Paco Rabanne metal and embellished dress. Her back-up fencer dancers added a radical twist that was unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Ciara who just gave birth to her third child Amora Princess Wilson in December, also performed and looked absolutely incredible in a custom Givenchy dress.

Her dress consisted of a gold sequins body suit, with a lime green chiffon cape and skirt that blew in the wind, and illuminated against the clear blue sky.

Contrary to Ciara’s vibrant hues, singer Katy Perry walked the show in a 3-D black and blush Noir Kei Ninomiya dress that was intricately made and felt progressive.

Ahead, see what more celebrities wore to the iconic 2024 Vogue World in Paris below!

Tailoring Capsule Basics to Your Style

At one time fashion trends might stick around for a season or two, but with social media trends and even microtrends seem to come and go at lightning-speed. Then there’s the question of choosing which particular trend you feel you fit into, versus attempting to form your own sense of personal style.

Ultimately, fashion and style is supposed to be about self expression and creativity, although with so much information available at all times, this particular message tends to get lost in the mix. Luckily for the fashionably perplexed there’s an easy way to keep things simple, starting with the classics.

The Foundations of Fashion

By now, most of us will have heard about capsule basics: those items we keep on rotation. These “timeless” pieces are typically neutral, good-quality items that are designed to go with everything (or, if you’re more of a minimalist) to wear on their own. Our current favorite Grey State Apparel offers beautifully-made basics.

Many of us will also be aware of the typical suggestions for a “capsule wardrobe”. However it’s important to note that while white tee shirts and blazers make an appearance nearly every time, these lists are not prescriptive, in that not everyone will suit (nor necessarily enjoy wearing) all those items.

Finding What Fits

Similarly, the items on a capsule closet list are guidelines: a tee-shirt doesn’t necessarily have to be boxy, or crew-neck, or even short-sleeved, if that’s not your personal preference. It doesn’t even have to be white: some find they suit off-white, or a completely different shade altogether.  Here are some more examples of how to tailor capsule pieces to you:

  • Blazers: Most guides suggest an oversized blazer. A better question might be, how likely are you to wear one? In addition, if you suit a fitted blazer better, why not wear that instead?
  • Button-downs: In some cases, you may find single breasted shirts to look better than two-pocket versions. When it comes to button-downs, it’s all in the details.
  • Tailored pants: Cropped or long, wide leg or slim fit, this is another deceptively simple fashion term. Personal style guides can help with finding the perfect fit.
  • A basic skirt: Again, this can mean a lot of things, but whatever the length, so long as it’s versatile enough to wear with anything else, it’s a capsule piece.

Another example is “a classic coat”. Most guides will suggest a trench, although that’s not necessarily the most flattering, or practical suggestion (depending on how cold it is). Instead, look for other basic styles that will go with other items in your closet: for instance if you wear skirts and dresses a lot, opt for shorter styles that give balance to your outfit.

Making Your Wardrobe Work for You

Another tip is to look for durable, high-quality (ideally sustainable) items made using natural materials like cotton or wool. While these items tend to be a little more expensive than their fast-fashion counterparts, they last longer, and can be thrifted as well as purchased new.

Remember this isn’t a “check-box” exercise: you get to personalize your wardrobe how you want, including your capsule basics. This includes care: while some items may be dry-clean only or require ironing, so if that’s something you’d rather avoid, skip these items or look for easy-care alternatives.

The ‘About Damn Time’ singer is looking like she is in her prime as she posed for Juneteenth in a custom Sam Adair dress that consisted of multicultural patches throughout.

Think black power, feminism, gay pride, and the University of Houston patches that perhaps embodied everything that Lizzo stands behinds. After all, she is a revolutionist.

She accessorized with oversized gold bangles, circular rings, and statement earrings. She even took the theme of her shoot one step further with her nails that each had their own custom design.

Fashion Bomb News: Rihanna Becomes the New Face Of Dior’s J’Adore Perfume

Rihanna is back at it again- breaking history once again by becoming the first black woman to become the face of Dior’s J’Adore fragrance.

As you may recall, actress Charlize Theron’s was the face of J’Adore perfume for 20-years, so this is a major change for the French brand who chose to bet on an icon.

In a statement posted to Dior’s instagram page, they shared

“Parfums Christian Dior is truly delighted to welcome icon Rihanna, whose wide-ranging talents, remarkable beauty and universal appeal now embody the world of J’adore.”

Perhaps Rihanna was hinting at the collaboration all along as back in January she attended the Dior Haute Couture show making a statement. The ‘Fenty’ founder showed up rocking a black Dior Bar jacket that was similar to the one that Christian Dior himself designed in 1947.

If there’s one thing Rihanna know’s how to do– it’s getting to the bag. This partnership also feels strategic for Dior, especially considering how successful Rihanna’s ‘Fenty’ brand has become.

With ‘Fenty Beauty, Skin, and Hair’ could Rihanna be potentially coming out with her own Fenty Fragrance in the future? Only time will tell.

However we’ll definitely be happy to see her repping one of our favorite Dior perfumes with her beauty at the forefront starting September 1 when her J’Adore campaign debuts.

Congratulations Rihanna!
