Zendaya Paid Tribute to Cher in a Bob Mackie FW ’01 Gown at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Glamorous, breathtaking and a stunner on any red carpet she graces, Zendaya paid tribute to the iconic Cher during the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction on Saturday.

Gold with intricate beading and cutouts for the perfect ab-baring moment, Zendaya wore a similar vintage Bob Mackie Fall ’01 dress that Cher wore back in 1972. In fact, Cher was known for donning some of the most exquisite Bob Mackie gowns back in the day.

Of course celebrity stylist, Law Roach is behind this legendary fashion moment. He described the dress as a “Nude illusion halter-gown, entirely hand-beaded in gold, diamond and iridescent bugle beads and aurora-borialus [sic] stones.”

Channeling Cher with a long bone straight buss down, the ‘Dune‘ actress looked absolutely incredible as she stood behind Cher while she delivered her induction acceptance speech.

Originally from Bob Mackie’s ‘Foreign Intrigue’ collection, the Fall 2001 dress was complimented with a silk satin trench coat that had an exaggerated collar and cuffs.

Amassing close to 40,000 likes on Fashion Bomb daily’s Instagram page, fans couldn’t get enough of how amazing Zendaya looked.

Instagram user @letsjustkeepitreal wrote, “I swear these model girls, and I mean all of them, better thank God every day that Zendaya chose to act over model because none of them would be working. Z is so natural with it.

Another user @tenilleclarke1 expressed, “this look is actually literally PERFECTION, from head to toe. My goodness goddess Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman TODAY!!!” 😍🏆

WWIB: Ella Mai Vs. Beyonce in Retrofete and Sheryl Lee Ralph Vs. Tamron Hall in Ronny Kobo (Shop The Looks Here!)

The question is: WHO WORE IT BETTER?

Singer Ella Mai and Beyonce were spied in a black and white Retrofête suit on different occasions but they both styled the double breasted suit in their own individual way.

Queen Beyonce wore the Retrofête Fall 2024 runway collection to a horse racing event in California.

Opting for the full set, including the double breasted Lucina blazer, matching trench jacket and mini skirt, Bey looked so high fashion. Her black tights. pointy toe stilettos and platinum hair color added to her glamour appeal.

Contrary to the ‘Cowboy Carter’ singer, Ella Mai wore the matching set on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but chose not to wear the trench coat as a third layering piece.

She kept her hair pulled back in a bun showcasing her beautiful facial features, and instead of pointy stilettos she slayed the scene in black feather pumps.

Sheryl Lee Ralph and TV Host Tamron Hall were also spotted rocking the same look with minor styling adjustments. Both ladies wore a brown Ronny Kobo Amschel Houndstooth Cut-Out Jumpsuit that had a deep V-neck, notched lapels, and cutout details.

Ralph wore her jumpsuit to the Glsen Rise Up LA event while be honored with the Champion Award. She wore a dark brown cami underneath with a medium brown belt, and brown stilettos.

Hall, on the other hand, opted for a white button up shirt and tie under her Ronny Kobo jumpsuit while shooting her Tamara Hall show. Rather than a medium brown belt, she went for a skinny brown belt that stitched in her small frame.

On the Scene at the Academy Museum Gala: Kim Kardashian in Thierry Mugler, Coleman Domingo in Valentino, Sheryl Lee Ralph in Sophie Couture, Taraji P Henson in Tamara Ralph & More

Coined the Met Gala of the West Coast, the fourth annual Academy Museum Gala was star studded with Hollywood’s brightest celebrities showcasing their red carpet style in the most astounding way.

Held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, the fundraiser supports cinema exhibits and public programming.

‘Skims’ founder Kim Kardashian looked clean and pristine in an all white Thierry Mugler corset with the matching maxi jacket that draped off her shoulders. Her clear heels felt Cinderella-like, and her diamond Tiffany & Co necklace was encrusted with the finest jewels.

Kim wasn’t the only one in attendance from the Kardashian clan, as her younger sisters Kendall and Kylie were also both on the scene. Kylie who often channels Kim, also opted for designer Thierry Mugler. With a nude sequins transparent top, Kylie served sex-appeal with cutouts at her hip.

Contrary to Mugler, the supermodel of the family, Kendall Jenner looked like a class act in a black Schiaparelli dress that was very demure and cutesy.

Known for her amazing award speeches, Sheryl Lee Ralph looked stunning in a cream strapless Sophie Couture gown. Her dress accentuated her curves and looked absolutely incredible on the 67-year old actress.

Ralph wasn’t the only one showcasing her curves as Taraji P. Henson was another break out star of the evening in a gold Tamara Ralph look. Strapless and characterized with a deep v-neck plunge line, Henson’s dress gave us, “I’m coming out and I want the world to know” (in Diana Ross voice).

Ava Duvernay and Davine Joy both opted for Louis Vuitton to the Academy Museum Gala, with Duvernay looking sizzling hot in a red draped gown that had a cow neck bodice.

Joy, who’s known for rocking exaggerated silhouettes, took us back to the nineteenth century with her cage crinoline that gave her gown a cylindrical shape.

Serving runway realness at the Gala was none other than Kerry Washington. Elegant and appeasing to the eye, she wore a black and white floral print Carolina Herrera dress. Washington looked magnificent and dynamite in this black and white frock.

Showcasing a different interpretation of black and white was Quinta Brunson who wore a strapless houndstooth dress that felt on trend this season. Perhaps one would have thought that she arrived in Chanel, however Carolina Herrera is also to thanks for this exceptional look.

Representing for the fashionable men was Coleman Domingo and Dwayne Wade who attended alongside his wife Gabrielle Union. Domingo, who has become well known for his fashion sense and will serve as the 2025 Met Gala co-chair, wore Valentino.

His black suit jacket tied at the waist and his red Valentino pants were the moment. Taking a closer look, his black lace gloves layered with diamond rings and bracelets, made a fashion-forward statement. One can only imagine what he’ll wear to Met Gala come May 2025.

Wade, also looked dapper in a double breasted suit that had a silver embellished pen and was paired with tapered trousers. His wife was the perfect arm candy in a midnight purple sequins Elie Saab gown. Gabby’s Tiffany & Co jewels were majestic against her melanated complexion. It’s evident to see that her and Dwayne are the perfect fashion duo.

Kelly Rowland Slayed in A Nude Oversized Fear of God Suit at the Kia NBA Tip-Off 2024

After just celebrating mama Tina Knowles at the Glamour Women of the Year awards, Kelly Rowland was captured participating in a NBA commercial to kick off the 2024-2025 season.

Rowland joined basketball players like Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Edwards Bam Adebayo, and Jayson Tatum to shoot the “The Tip-Off” commercial ad, and she looked incredible in a nude Fear of God suit, styled by Wilford Lenov.

Her oversized $2,795 wool ‘California Blazer’ by the Los Angeles brand is the perfect balance between high fashion and streetwear. Made in Italy, Kelly’s blazer had exaggerated shoulders with bold notched lapels. Her matching wide leg trousers with the elastic waist band were modern and chic.

Rowland tied her suit together with a crop top that displayed her hard-earned abs, and pointy stilettos for a sophisticated finish.

The ‘Motivation’ singer who always looks her best with a bob haircut, opted for a platinum blonde color that enhanced her gorgeous facial features.

We adored Kelly in this oversized Fear of God suit that had many contemporary elements. In addition to her beauty and amazing style, Kelly Rowland has a beautiful energy and aura about her that keeps her in the limelight.
