It was the ‘it’ bag of Instagram, Cult Gaia’s Ark bamboo clutch took over all our feeds with celebrities and fashion bloggers alike posing up a storm with the must-have half moon bag.
Founded in 2014 by Jasmin Larian with a $7000 investment from her father (the creator of Bratz dolls, Isaac Larian) Cult Gaia has quickly gained a massive following and devoted fans. Their Instagram page (@cultgaia) currently has over 332k followers, and growing.
Following the success of the brand’s uniquely structured bags, Cult Gaia has since expanded their line to include jewellery, clothes and shoes.
Cult Gaia celebrated its’ first runway show recently on the tennis court of the family’s Frank Gehry-designed home. Using sculptor Angela Neman’s work as set pieces (who is also Jasmin’s mother), the Resort 2019 collection features summer-ready sundresses, feminine 2-pieces and elegant flowing gowns using eye-catching motifs and fabrics. The brand collaborated with Brazilian artist Lane Marinho to create an exclusive print which was used for various garments in the line.
Our favorites from the collection include this fringed, sarong style Natalia gown ($948)
This ombre tassel bag, Angelou (2 sizes available $318/$338)
This off-the-shoulder, sheer sleeved Cosette gown ($1,198)
Let’s not forget the men, Cult Guy has also been born. Combining style and comfort for the sun-loving, fashion forward man.
