Happy Monday!
As you read this, I’m flying out West for a quick trip to LA! To keep with the California theme, I thought I’d feature Valerie from San Francisco as today’s Bombshell:

The Nigerian native says, “I originally fell in love with fashion after being immersed in the modeling industry once I finished playing basketball in college. I realized that I needed to have a clear understanding of my own personal style and comprehend what influences today’s well-known and successful designers.”

“…I began reading more fashion magazines and blogs, both domestically and internationally. I’m largely influenced by the NY fashion scene and European culture.”

“…My personal style for the fall/winter is a more of a grunge, rocker chic look. I love mixing dark and neutral tones and pairing it with a vampy lip color. Fashion is an art that I have grown to love and may eventually venture from modeling into more of a designer role.

“…I currently have a blog, www.entertainmentchic.blogspot.com, which not only delves into my love for fashion/sports, but also includes discussing trending topics, such as dating. With my goal to travel/move to Australia this year, I plan to share more of my thoughts on international fashion and how they are influenced by the US.”

Sounds interesting! I’ll check it out. I would have loved to see just a few more pix, but from what you submitted, you’re quite fly.
What do you think?

  1. I have that pink sheer shirt. I think. I think the style is ok except the motocycle boots with every outfit is a bit lazy. Hard and soft yadda yadda I still think a dressy shoes makes an outfit a lot more pulled together.

  2. The only look I’m feeling is the one with the black get up, other than that, I’m just not feeling this girls style at all. Seems like she doesn’t know how to dress for her body…

  3. Although, she is a beautiful girl. I agree w/ everyone else, there needs to be more looks.
    P.S. I love………your hair!

  4. I like anyone who does their own thing. She said she’s influenced by European fashion which is nada like Americana fashion. I like her:o)

  5. I like ,but some of the pieces just don’t look right on her body. She has great skin, and I really do think she needs to incorporate more than lace up boots (regardless of how much I love my DMS and how versatile they are).

  6. Agreed…she needs more looks and also more accessories. I would love to see her in a pair of statement earring or a necklace. However, she is original and I do like some of her looks.

  7. Thank you Claire for featuring me as “Fashion Bombshell of the Day”!! I also appreciate all the positive comments I have received, so thank you all for taking a look :)

  8. Ya’ll know I go hard for all my African sistas! Her style is just iite. Loooooooooooooooooong beautiful legs doe!

  9. I really like her outfits, but she could use a few more accessories. She is a gorgeous girl and her skin is stunning!

  10. I agree with most of the comments that there are few pieces that needed to change and some accessories that need to add, but minimum amount of accessories.
Also the shoes doesn’t impress me so a different shoes for each look would be better.

However, I love her natural look. She look flawless, but the style need some changes.
