“… Growing up, I never had any confidence issues but I also never tried to stand out in a crowd. I was fine with just an “ok” appearance and being social with those around me.”

” Fast forward to college, I began to test what was out there to offer to plus size women & try to make it my own. I embraced my curves & started to flaunt them. I always liked to focus on one part of my body at a time, making sure I wasn’t doing “too much”.”

” If my cleavage was out, then my legs were probably covered or the dress was a little longer. Or if I showed my legs, I’d wear a higher cut top.”

” A year ago, I relaunched my online boutique for curvy women and I’ve kept the same philosophy.”

” When I get dressed its a fun process and I reuse a lot of my pieces because a lot of them are staples. Right now, I’m into fitted hats, a pop of a bright color, bodycons, camo, and making my accessories or makeup apart of the entire look. I’m not afraid to mix a few patterns or textures because I think that’s what can set you apart from the next person.”

Work that camo jacket! That might be my favorite look.

  1. Hell NO TO THE LAST LOOK. she has a FEW cute pieces but doesnt know how to match them up very well… like the camo jacket and the fringe boots do not go together!

she could have worn the white and black jeans black peplum and camo jacket.

  2. She looks very nice. It’s nice to see a full figured bombshell, as I am a curvy diva myself. She represents well.

  3. i (a big girl) dont understand why some big girls think its ok to show off cellulite and non existant knee joints and cleavage. its not sexy it would be better to just dress cute and cover up. its actually sexier. we (as women) dont need to expose ourselves especially as big women

  4. I have to say this…but there’s a difference between embracing curves and being content with obesity. I think we use the term “curvy” too loosely. Her style is fine but her size is unhealthy. It really disturbs me to see women like this. We can and have to do better!

  5. Go girl! Your confidence is on a TEN! The blue shoes in the last photo looks like they are cute…are they wedges?

  6. I have to say this…but there’s a difference between embracing your curves and being content with obesity. I think we as black women use the term “curvy” very loosely. She’s beautiful girl, her style is fine but her size is unhealthy. And it really disturbs me to see women like this. We can and have to do better!

  7. Ok, honestly, I can respect anyone who put themselves there, esp on this blog cause the comments can be brutal. I think she has good ideas and concepts but her execution can be tad bit polished. I think its best to know what works best with your body type ..try more knee length skirts and maxis would be divine…and stay away from the bodycon..tight on big girls is so not the business…..the best outfit was the all black…that is all…

  8. I promise I am not trying to be mean but I agree with u soho….and we have seen thick bombshells that look great. But this is past that.It gets to a point wgere you are not healthy and once you get to a certain size no matter what you wear….it is just hard to look good in clothes. Everyone is not meant to be skinny. I am not skinny but…as black women we can at the very least try to be a more healthy size.

  9. Oh I’m sorry is this a body policing post? I thought it was SOLELY about the bombshell’s style. Silly me! I must be in the wrong place. Smdh…………….

  10. It is about the clothes. Once you become a certain size clothes dont look good on you.

  11. Would keep the skirts below the knee, in general. Best fits: red/denim and the black/white with blue heels.

  12. Soho is absolutely right! Just an FYI, wearing nothing but spandex pieces in not called “fashion”.

  13. I do like the red dress and jean jacket on you.

I think dresses past your knees, are quite complimentary. I think it’s great that you no longer hide in the shadows and embrace who you are…after all you are a beautiful woman. But I also agree Soho…

That said, I totally agree with your statement about putting to much out there. I am of the same school of thought that if you give the cleavage, cover the legs and vice-versa.

The all black looks good on your too.

  14. I like her for a bombshell – the polka dot dress with the converse sneakeers is what got my attn! I like all of her looks…

  15. From some of the comments live and let live – if she likes bodycon I bet she has more than enough suitors who like her in them as well. As far as her health it’s her health – I’m not thick or curvy I have been overweight and got back down to my size preference – but since I’ve been on both ends I’m in no position to tell anyone about their weight, health or anything else for that matter unless asked. Her FASHION STYLE IS ADMIRED and very CUTE!

  16. any time a plus size bombshell is featured suddenly everybody in the comments section is a doctor. This is a fashion blog, not a health blog. If you want to talk health go to webmd where you can talk about fat women AND underweight models. For now, let’s stick to the subject at hand. I can’t say I liked the looks but I do love that she owned them. I’m just not a fan of some of the fabrics. also, i’m a huge fan of body con and skinny jeans but it is starting to become the only silhouette big girls are using. It’s starting to bore me even when it’s flattering.

  17. Renita… you’re curvy in the sense that you have hips and a defined waist, but you aren’t “curvy”.

I don’t like commenting on people’s size because you never know where someone is at on their fitness journey (assuming that we all want to be our healthiest selves), she could have just lost 100 pounds for all we know. That being said, she has to dress for the body she has now, and I think that part will be lost on a lot of posters. For the body she HAS, (and not the one you think she should have); she’s done a decent job. Pay attention to fit and showing off your best assets (yo’ legs ain’t it, girl).

  18. I do believe under AND over a certain weight, nothing will look good on you. You will have to whether gain or lose weight. If not, just forget about fashion. Confidence is awesome but it’s not a reason to condone being unhealthy and looking foolish.

  19. I firmly believe that whether you are big or small, you should love yourself and embrace your body. That goes for the morbidly obese and the anorexic. That doesn’t mean that you don’t address the health issues that you are faced with, but you are more likely to be successful if you can be your own cheerleader.

So I do love it when bigger women are confident and happy.

But there’s something to be said for knowing your body type and picking clothes that flatter it and I don’t feel like that was done here (except that all black outfit, which was really cute).

She is pretty and her confidence flies off the screen, but ill-fitting clothes just don’t do it for me.

  20. Pretty girl, her clothes don’t do her justice.

Better fit, and proper undergarments would benefit her.

  21. No matter her size, I still would love to see what people who offer no constructive criticism, just rude comments have to offer. Get over the obvious: yes, she’s plus sized. She knows that and it’s visible but this is about her clothing, not health.

With that said, not sure of her age, but some outfits seem a bit too “teeny-bopper”; the polka dot & Converse is something I’d expect to see on a 17 year old. The all black & camo are my favorite looks, but everything has the same silhouette. A little variety goes a long way.

  22. LIES! She did NOT accept her curves like she says because if she did, she would wear clothes that actually FIT! tuh a shame

  23. Is this a health && wellness blog. MAybe shes recently lost 50 lbs, maybe shes gained it..maybe shes perfectly health, maybe not. ARE WE NOT HERE TO TALK FASHION? i liked her looks.

  24. Nobody asked for health and wellness advice……either you like the looks or not…that’s the problem with some many people….your UNSOLICITED advice ..no amount of wrap on this blog will change her weight until shes ready yall need to chill

  25. So because she’s plus size she’s supposed to wear dresses that stop at her ankles? Oh.

I think her clothes fit quite well, nothing looks revealing to me but hey what do I know its soo many fashion experts and doctors on this site.

    Anywho..You look great maam!

  26. That lycra is stretched to the max! Poor polka dots :(- LADIES, TIGHT IS NOT THE ONLY WAY TO BE SEXY! If it doesnt work for your body type is actually works against you and makes you look UNsexy

  27. ***Shame on the negative comments regarding this woman and her body type. The purpose of this post is to vote/comment on her style, anything else is unnecessary and rude.
There’s a difference between constructive criticism and being blantantly callous. Try not to let the anonymity of the internet lure you into behaving poorly or out of character. I mean really, would you say those things to her face?!?

About the clothes…some hit and misses. I like for the majority of her choices, she stuck with solid colors with bold accents. The polk-a-dot ensemble is one you will need to retire. I idea is cute, but the execution is not quite working. Perhaps an option is polk-a-dot pants, solid top and red wedges?

  28. My comment was not meant to be offending, I truly like her style and confidence. But for those who say stick to the fashion at hand, that is something NO ONE truly does. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen women comment on a camel toe, hanging toes, and bad weaves! Does this means its ok to do so? No it doesn’t. But whenever you submit a picture its going to be looked at head to toe, roll to roll and bone to bone. Again, I stand behind my comment.

  29. I’m also torn on the fact that so many large women who do not have knees are wearing leggings and skinny jeans. I’m not generally offended by the things that often go hand and hand with being overweight…but I just wonder how flattering it is. I think fashion should be about being flattering, is that really a part of your body you want to emphasize? I guess that goes back to my silhouette comment. It doesn’t look as bad when a woman has on a short skirt with her knees exposed vs. in a legging where you can tell she has no knee definition. I hope that make sense. LOL

  30. @Jay…

if the poster identifies themselves as “plus-size” and “curvy” why aren’t comments about their size and how they style their size, fair game?

  31. Ok, ladies. We come here for fashion, so please stick to the topic.

I think you look like a bombshell! Thanks for giving me the confidence to strut my big stuff too!!

  32. I say kudos to her for being confident enough to wear what she feels good in! If you don’t like her style its one thing, but why take jabs at her body?

  33. This faux concern for her health is killing me. L O f*cking L. Yall dont give a damn about her health. You care about your own comfort level. With that said look away! Pseudo M.D.s!

I voted “Pretty woman, but her style isn’t special. ” She looks like fun!

  34. I know I’m taking a risk here, but when I hear comments in reference to this bombshell as being “full-figured” or “curvy” it just makes me cringe. We’re dealing with a real health epidemic in the Western part of the world and I don’t think this look is something to be embraced. It’s not healthy and some of us seriously need a REALITY check.

  35. And to add to my previous comment, I love how people make “plus size” seem like something normal. It’s not normal, and it’s certainly not healthy.

  36. I agree Cynthia…Health…health…health…that should be on the top of her list…Obesity is a huge problem in America and we need to stop thinking that fat is curves, its unhealthy and its killing us in far to great numbers. Focus on losing weight and getting healthy first.

  37. I completely agree with Soho about how the term curvy is used to loosely. This isn’t in reference to the bombshell; I’m speaking in general. A lot of women who are plus-sized automatically feel that makes them curvy. No. Being curvy (to me or at least what I thought) is all about the waist to hip ratio. You can be plus-sized and be straight up and down, just as some skinny women are. You can also be skinny with curves as I’ve witnessed. I mean, maybe we all have different definitions of curvy. But, it’s definitely used to loosely. Also, I find it interesting in society that when the weight of a plus-sized woman is being discussed, everyone comes to their defense. However, when it’s of a petite woman it’s rare someone comes to their aid. Not excusing any of these comments on here because some are indeed rude. However, people are very sensitive when it comes to bigger women than smaller women. For example, I remember when the fashion bomb posted the pictures of Karrueche’s Vibe magazine shoot. Everyone had something to say about her body. “She’s so small…she only looks good in clothing…she has the body of a 12-year-old boy…she shouldn’t try to be sexy…etc.” Also, when they post pictures of these models people are always quick to say how thin they are and how “they need to eat.” These things are okay, but if someone says “you’re obese and you need to lose weight” there’s a problem. My opinion very well may be biased because I’m petite myself. Also, like I said I am NOT condoning any of the rude comments on here. This is just something I’ve noticed.

  38. I don’t care about the girl’s weight, but her outfits don’t do it for me. I was expecting more and honestly I see women who look and dress like this on a daily basis. Cute girl!

  39. I’m sorry, but nothing looks good when u are that big. I’m all for confidence, but just do something about your weight if u truely love yourself. Nothing look good because she’s too big. It’s like looking at a ball.

  40. She is a pretty girl, but once you’re in the dangerously obese territory, it is hard to look fashionable. Overweight is one thing, but she looks scarily unhealthy and inappropriately dressed for her size. I’m sorry. I don’t want to be cruel. I feel bad about saying any of this, but I hope she gets help to find health and better fashion choices for her body as she decreases in weight.

  41. Let’s see…

Very cute girl with bombshell potential… I think she should consider playing with more silhouette options though. V-necks instead of scoop necks. I’m a member of the tig ol’ bitties committee and scoop necks are it! V-necks open up and draw attention to the face, scoop necks makes it look like we have our girls in slings! Maybe invest wider, fuller legged pants to give the illusion of looking taller and leaner and A-line dresses and skirts because you do have an hourglass figure but the narrow silhouettes your wearing are not highlighting this. Also be wary of proportions. Seems like all of the looks your putting together are chopping you up instead of looking streamline and cohesive. Something that many don’t take into account is how hair actually plays a huge part in proportions. Because of the proportions your choosing, it’s actually working against you and weighing your looks down. Also, in the camo outfit, if you would have just opted for for a different shoe that didn’t cut off your leg length, it would have taken that look to the next level. Same for the last outfit and polka dot fit, that thick ankle strap chops up your look and the purse with the polka dot outfit is not proportionate to the rest of your body which makes the bag look much smaller and you bigger than what you are.

Sorry for the long post but one more thing, try not to fall victim to too many trends. I know we’re tempted to partake in “what’s hot” at the moment(i.e. instagram fashion) but everything isn’t for everyone. Find out what truly works for YOUR body and leave the trends for accessories, hair and makeup but that’s usually something that comes with age and an extensively longer fashion journey. Trends aren’t that exciting once you’ve found what works for you! Overall, your a beautiful woman with a great eye for fashion. Just open yourself up to more options so your execution flaws will be thing in the rearview mirror of your fashion car ride!

And that, ladies and gentleman, is how you give constructive criticism… ;)

  42. Petite Sophisticate: sounds to me as if you’re just beating around the issue.

  43. Leave “fashion” alone. Try “health and fitness.

Nothin looks good when you’re that big. I agree w/ Soho. The word curvy is used too loosely! Sorry, you’re not curvy. You are fat!

  44. @Cynthia the issue here, on this here website is fashion. I totally understand where you’re coming from and your points are very valid but, Claire didn’t ask what I thought about her weight she asked about her fashion. If that’s your soapbox, by all means, stand on it but it’s not mine. I appreciate your concern for the health of our fellow African-American men and women because if we don’t care who will but, on this particular platform at this particular time, I(placing much emphasis on “I”) don’t feel it’s necessary to drive the point home about his young ladies’ weight.

Besides, her weight isn’t exactly the pink elephant in the room. Just as we are aware of her size, I pretty sure she’s aware of her size because she wakes up to it every morning and go to bed with it every night. So a reminder from you, a total stranger, will have little, to no impact whatsoever.

I just think empowerment is a much more effective tool in your fight for right, rather than self-righteous, finger-in-the-face shaming. But hey, that just me.

  45. I do agree with some of the comments made but I wonder do all the ladies screaming healthy take this issue seriously in their own lives. Weight is not the only indicator of health. I have witnessed plenty of “skinny” people that do not take care of themselves and fall dead before 40. Give her a break this a fashion website not a health forum. If you think the styles don’t flatter her shape leave it at that and save her the health screening.

  46. Her weight does make her look sloppy in her clothing. come back 100 pounds lighter and you will look amaZING

  47. @ Petite Sophisticate:

Thanks so much for your comments. I totally agree with you that the issue on this website is fashion and may not necessarily have nothing to do with health and weight in general, but you can’t deny the fact that it is a person that carries or wears the fashion and at the end of the day, fashion, weight, health and what have you, go hand in hand.

Yes, the debate on this forum really shouldn’t be one of health and weight, but if one’s overall look, or weight in this case, is taking away from the fashion I can’t help but to make note of it.

We all are entitled to our opinion’s on here, but I’m sorry, this girls weight is very distracting and takes away from her overall presentation of fashion.

I have nothing against slightly heavier or plus size girls as some of them know how to work with and dress according to their body types. Some of Renita’s looks on the other hand, are not all that flattering or appealing for that matter, and certainly takes away from her overall look.

I’m not trying to shame or finger-point here, but I’m making a simple point that her look in does nothing for the statement she’s trying to make on here.

You and others may not agree with me on here, but I’m sorry, her look does not inspire me-health or fashion wise.

  48. Overnight MDs…pssshhh. Also, a majority of the people who write offensive comments lack the courage to say it DIRECTLY to someone’s face. They feel the warm secure blanket of anonymity allows them to be rude. Anway, Luvs your confidence honey. If she likes it…I love it. Fashion aside- Women are so quick to down other women. And no one reply back to me saying they are just speaking facts- because only a hit dog will holler.

  49. I dont understand why african american women embrace being fat. What is going on. When i came to America i was shocked how fat African American women are, of course not everyone. The slim ladies where in the minority and they turned out to be African, Carribean, Black British or French. Yes we are not MDS but guyz lets be honest this is not healthy and the fashion looks forced. its really embracing. That one outfit probably cost her lets say $100, thats gym membership for two months. When i was in America i noticed most black guys were drop dead headsome and of course dating white women or latinos. Now i understand why. Black women lets have pride in ourselves and it starts with our bodies.

  50. So now you understand the full dynamics of black men in interracial relationships in America because you saw some fat Black women when you visited? Great.

So everyone giving the girl health advice, what do you suggest she do in the meantime? I suppose she should go naked?

  51. I like her looks but & everyone small or big petite to plus sized can agree that improper fits & improper cuts & undergarments can make or break an outfit. She has great outfit ideas but the fits are off on some the black polka dotted is ill fitting & you can tell because you see the white sheen that occurs when something is stretched to the max. But on the other side of the spectrum the camo look to me by far is the best. In response to ppl who are upset about the size comments relax. Size & fashion do go hand in hand because if she had on a damn crop top & leggings I bet there would be a lot more negative comments. So lets get off our high horses & be real & stop acting as if size doesn’t affect how a piece of clothing looks on your body. I.E. a deep v on saggy tiddys a no go, leggings wrapped around cellulite (cellulite affects all sizes btw) a no go, any spandex garment on a not perfectly toned physique not a good look. That’s why almost every celeb wears spanxs.

  52. All these individuals stating that weight has nothing to do with fashion sound completely ridiculous. Most of these comments on her weight come across as constructive critisim with a splash of tough love.

Fashion is art!!!!! I believe our bodies are canvas for certain garments, they are made to accentuate our bodies and our bodies are made to compliment the garments. With that said, say you take the Mona Lisa and put it on canvas too small you won’t see the full beauty. Respectively, if you take the Mona Lisa and stretch it to fit a larger canvas, the art becomes distorted …. My two cents

  53. I like her looks but & everyone small or big petite to plus sized can agree that improper fits & improper cuts & undergarments can make or break an outfit. 55. I agree people who come here and say over and over again that weight or size has nothing to do with fashion are just plain stupid, dumb at the most.

  56. @NOT American – African American men date women of other ethnicities because most AA females are overweight? Tell us more wise philosopher.

  57. How do so many people think “standing out” means to wear all the trends everyone else wears?

Leggings are the DEBIL, I am convinced leggings are as dangerous as crack/meth. This shizzz is so ridiculous.

  58. I think shes having fun regardless and that’s all that really matters! Fashion is supposed to be fun!

  59. I do like the blue shoes in the black top/ white leggings outfit. Everything is just a tad bit too tight for my taste.

  60. I don’t understand why people can’t objectively look at outfits. You may notice her weight but you can still judge the outfits. Personally if it helps pretend a skinny girl was wearing it. Done? Now what do you think. Personally I don’t think her looks are all that great…not because she got a little chunk mostly because it looks kinda teenager-y and cheap.

  61. Claire you should make it MANDATORY that commentors post pictures of themselves when they comment because I am DYING to see what some of these internet thugging cruel insensitive women look like. But that probably wont even work they’ll just start posting fake pictures. lol

  62. @Petite Sophisticate WERK!!!! I agree with your post 100% We must dress the body that we have, if we don’t have an ideal body weight or clothes become ill fitting we MUST go naked and we MUST go to jail!!! LOL

  63. This is a fashion blog, so the comments should be a about fit, colours, portions, accessorizing. To the person that say nothing looks good on a person that big that’s a lie, No matter what size a person is, there is a way to dress for there body that flatters. Now if this was a nutrition or a fitness site and she was seeking advice on those matters, then people could say that she needs to loose weight. But since this is not. STFU. The nerve of people to say such harsh offensive comments and pretend to disguise it under the false pretence of concern.

  64. I know im probably going to get shaded to the max for this but I feel like if this were a smaller woman dressed like this it would be so unacceptable. Maybe its just me but I always feel like Big women always get a pass on this site whether what they are wearing is fashionably cute or not.

  65. Y’all are so rude but back to the topic at hand I voted some hits and misses because the fit on some of the outfits are not the best, my fav however is the black peplum top with the black pants

  66. every one of these ppl that commented are out of pocket. for one the bombshell is about style not anyones size! this women is beautiful and the fact that she still was posted on this FASHION blog and is a little bigger then most makes her fabulous. im sure half the ppl who commented cant through together an outfit and look half as good in a smaller frame. People need to stop hating and start uplifting one another especially women. let her live her life in her skin im sure your judgemental ways are some kind of cover up for you all’s own unhappiness with your self. im not a bigger female myself but any woman who has confindence and can walk down the street looking dope is ok in my book

  67. I think she cute and comoftable and yall all need to hop off… if shes secure in who she it it doesnt matter what you guys think. Yall are here to comment on her style and NOT her size. Yall going in on HER body shape… Just posting your pics on here takes sourage due to the harsh realities that people can be mean but damn I appluad her and l tfashion bombs , short , thick, tall, wateva….Plus I seen some skinny girls thata re unhealthy and look a hot mess in their outfits. Theres a right and wrong way to critique people without being mean

  68. RP.. sorry for all the spelling errors… tried to fix it LOL >>>I think she cute and comfortable and yall all need to hop off… if shes secure in who she is..it doesnt matter what you guys think. Yall are here to comment on her style and NOT her size. Yall going in on HER body shape… Just posting your pics on here takes courage due to the harsh realities that people can be mean… but damn I appluad her and all the other fashion bombs , short , thick, tall, wateva….Plus I seen some skinny girls that are unhealthy and look a hot mess in their outfits. Theres a right and wrong way to critique people without being mean

  69. Thanks for all the love (you know who you are) and attention (to you haters). Some of you need to get your life. I appreciate it Claire!!! Your blog is everything!!

  70. I’ve never seen so many hate filled comments in all my days. I love all the looks she different and there’s nothing wrong with it. You skinny girls shop at the same stores and end up looking a like. Who are y’all to judge her size being skinny isn’t healthy either the last time I checked. I think y’all are upset because us big girl’s are now y’alls worst competition we sexy and know how to show it off without being trashy so stand down we have arrived and we ain’t going anywhere

  71. So if she were smaller, no one would be mentioning anything about her health. But the crazy part is you can have the BEST physique and not have good health! Some of you are ridiculous. She probably has more confidence than MOST of you commenting and that’s something you can’t buy. You can exercise everyday, be the smallest and still not be confident in who you are. So kudos to her for being confident and rocking her clothes! Nex time let her doctor be the one to decide how healthy or unhealthy she is. Nita you look good!

  72. First off, kudos to submitting your pics. I have been thinking about it for months and then always chicken out! I absolutely adore the red dress look! From head to toe, it was flawless! I like the variety and the looks are fun and don’t stick to any fashion “rules”. I voted Bombshell!

  73. As an individual that reports various areas of style, fashion and positive people, this was to be the forum for fashion, not attacking someone for their health or size or whatever.
Her color choices, on point, her conception of style, fierce. Lets remember what was to be focused on and not your personal views toward other things that are not relevant to the topic. That’s very rude and unbecoming of those that are to be fashion savvy. Look at many of the celebs today, that get constant attention on their clothing, yet their actions speak otherwise. You’ll be the first to commend them on their gear, but pay no attention to their actions.
Work it Renita!!! Lead the charge!

  74. I have read pretty much most of the comments and I am disappointed through and through. Wow we will tolerate many things, but a women that is “bigger” and demonstrate confidence scares the hell out of you people. While those of you that are pretending to care about this women’s health, are you turning to your skinny friend that is living an unhealthy lifestyle and showing the same concern. Yes, I agree health is definitely a concern but how do you know she’s not healthy. While we understand the concerns of potential health issues…some of you that are “perfect” are facing illnesses as we type yet you still have time to make sure you take someone else down with you. I’m sad that these internet gangstas are running rampant in the blogosphere but you are the same mofo that will be copying her style tonight. You people (shm)… are uncomfortable because you have more insecurities and body dysmorphia than the law should allow. Bless your hearts bless your hearts. I just want you to remember this, when you point a finger you have four pointed back at you. Don’t forget many of you will get fat one day (trust) and it may or may not be voluntary or controllable but just remember when you do, you will still want to be respected and not judged for such a superficial ignorant reason. God Bless goodnight!

  75. GIRL. YESSSSSSSSS! YOU LOOK AMAZING! I like your style, continue working it and ignore the negative hatin’ azz comments on here!

  76. BTW. The shoes in the last pic where did you get them from? The blue wedges. I really like them.

  77. its ridiculous that people are so focused on her size. If she is comfortable in her own skin, that’s all that matters. I think she looks chic and fabulous. Why sit and bash and bully someone’s appearance. She’s confident enough to put her picture up here for the world to see, don’t degrade her. To Soho, get a grip girl! submit a picture of yourself on here. Would you like to be degraded and belittled? Do ya thing Renita, I see you Girl

  78. I didn’t like any of the outfits other than the all black as that was the most flattering out fit on her…and I agree with the comments that the length of her dresses should be past the knee (as that is a rule I follow myself) and the type of shoes she’s chosen (other than the black) cutting her off. I’m short and fat too and I try to elongate my height by wearing wider leg pants that are slighty long (they blance out a big top) and paired with a pointy toe pump, that has the effect of drawing the eye down and flowy tops- (that cover the girls sufficiently) shift dresses that come to the knee with a beautiful shoe that also draws the eye down, bras that minimise, and undergarments like spanx where required. I always get compliments on the way that I dress from friends, to family to straight up strangers! A structured jacket or suit can do wonders as well for bigger girls as they provide a “psuedo” shape for those of us who are not as physically gifted. I have no comment about those who talk about her weight- in general I find that most (non-fat) people despise fat people and fat people are less likely to be chosen for jobs, promoted or paid as well as their skinnier counterparts- regardless of education or ability, due to our society’s obsession with being thin. But this is the society we live in- just look at the billions of dollars spent on weight loss products or surgeries each year by people. I agree that it is difficult (and silly) to try and distinguish her weight from the fashion she is wearing- the type of clothes she’s chosen are not for her frame (or size). But to take it a step further- I don’t know HOW you have a coversation without the issue as there are designers who REFUSE to create clothing beyond a size 12 (and even those 12’s are a joke). At the end of the day I do appreciate her for trying to make herself look (and feel) good…it’s actually more sad to see women (fat or skinny) who have given up….

  79. Tsk…tsk…tsk. NEVER have I seen such deplorable comments both tasteless and unrelated to the subject at hand. This post was about FASHION. Nothing more, nothing less. So her knees aren’t boney, do you like the GDamn skirt or NOT?! You don’t care for her shape, is the dress she’s wearing, on trend or NOT?! Let’s face it, the lot of you don’t know this girl from a can of paint, so do you REALLY care what her hemoglobin or cholesterol is? If you really did, you wouldn’t relay your concern is such a classless manner. As with everything in life, there are only TWO choices: to DO it, or NOT do it. She chose to DO. She chose to take risks, wear what she feels comfortable in and share it! While you’re busy worrying about her caloric intake, consider the fact that her choice to share herself, both body AND style, could have been a plus size woman’s saving grace! Her confidence has the ability to talk that self conscious plus size or even anorexic woman off a ledge! I say all this to say, speak on what the post is addressing. If you like her style, say so. If not, feel free to say so. But DON’T hop on here acting like a guest star on an episode of “The Drs.” Nobody is here for that.

  80. Um I must be missing something cause I love her style. Who cares if she’s a big girl, you people don’t really care about her health. You just needed something negative to say and her weight was just the easiest target. Her outfits are cute. As far as her “health” that’s her choice. I’m sure she knows that she’s a big girl and maybe she’s happy that way. Half of the people in America are over weight and those are always the first to judge somebody else’s weight….

Keep doing your thang girl, u look great! Pay to attention to the haters…

  81. this is about her style not her body… her style is nothing spectacular, thatt hasnt been seen a million times before.
Funny how some folks will jump down your throat for commenting on her obesity, but those same people are in straight denial that she looks & is unhealthy. She could not run up a short flight of stairs to save her life without collapsing but we praise her bravery for flauting her “curves” ? something ain’t right here — the word curvy is thrown around too loosely… can we be real with ourselves and call it what it is obesity.
If her fashion sense was stellar and giving me my life I would say it, but they dont make those fashion choices in her size and even if they did, would it really look as good on her as it would someone smaller ? Lets just be honest— plus size fashion will only go up to a certain size before the person looks all kinds of crazy.
