I’m headed down to Jamaica for a bit of sun and fun! But first, of course, I give you today’s Bombshell, Nina from Philly:

She says, “I am a Liberian-American born and raised in the city of brotherly love & sisterly affection.”

“My style can be described as sugar & spice.”

“… I am definitely a girly girl who is comfortable in dresses whether they be long and billowy, short and form fitting, or an a-line shift.”

“I also like to rock edgier styles with leather, metal, and spike accents.”

“But most of all I gravitate towards the bling whether it be sequins, a statement necklace, fun cocktail ring, or bold cuff.”

“I love fashion because it is such a great way to express yourself without saying a word.”

Amen! You have so many great pieces, including that tangerine cut out dress and your studded peep toe black booties. Hot! You’re a Bombshell! What do you think?

  1. “Hmm…call me when there’s a Bombshell! = 36%” Really guys? Damn you chicks on this site are brutal! I do agree that her style isn’t ground breaking…but it is sensible and safe. Just ok style. But it isn’t awful…I’ve seen much worse and the scales didn’t tip like this…damn! Smh…lol! Interesting to say the least….

  2. Pretty girl, great skin! Nice pieces and decent looks, but nothing I was in love with.

  3. I think it’s her face that is throwing us off. She looks so sweet and pretty then neck down you get different type of action. It looks like the wardrobe doesn’t fit her personality….then again we dont know her. But the smile says goodie goodie. She does have a cute style and appears to be a lovely young lady.

  4. You always notice how the person in your office that always dresses down gets nothing but attention the day they have a meeting and have to put on a button down or skirt? That’s because they have dressed outside of who they typically are. So you notice the difference….that is what this reminds me of…..just saying.

  5. cute style but something about the shoes in all the outfits throws me off. for instance, you should have worn the studded black booties with possibly the leather jacket + hat look, not with the shirt with the red/white collar. and possibly a cute sandal would have looked better with the printed green dress instead of those patent leather nude pumps. i like your style it’s just that as soon as i get to the shoes i get disappointed with your choice.. but you’re very pretty and photogenic and have great pieces!

  6. If she didn’t throw on that floppy hat,she would have rocked that outfit, but the hat turned it into a “forced” look. She has nice pieces.

  7. Um that Green sundress..why!?! what part of that dress screams fashion…The first dress was really cute..but then it just went south..

  8. Ummm I’m not feeling this girl. I think she’s pretty, but no offense a lot of the girls you post on the blog are really not that stylish at all! They may have some decent outfits, but that doesn’t make that eprson wpoth putting as bombshell of the day! I see more stylish girls eveyrwhere every day in London, where I’m from…personal style is not just about having nice clothes, so many girls have nice clothes, its about having an individuality and uniqueness about you to set the clothes off. Please make better choices- this right here is obviosuly just a cute, average chick with a decent wardrobe, choose women whose style really pops….

  9. I became disinterested as soon as I read “born and raised in the city of brotherly love & sisterly affection.” BYE!! Clare you should really ban these people from submitting such cheesy, cringeworthy commentaries.

  10. Cute. I think she is a bombshell. I really like the black ensemble with white blazer. Next time try some blue suede pumps/sandals to take that look to the gods, honey.

  12. I’m a little disappointed…considering she’s reppin’ the P.H.I. …no, I’m not from Philly but VERY close by, and (some) of those girls can dress!

  13. Pretty, but her face looks so innocent but the look looks different and it just seems like it doesn’t fit her face but she has some really nice looks but if you want to judge her correctly, Cover her Innocent cute face and then you’d really find out if she is a bombshell or not.

  14. @ anonymous …..plz define “personal style”. Highlighing the word PERSONAL! Her choices are not my cup of tea but she is well put together at least she isn’t wearing crutch hugging tights and booty shorts. I didn’t vote bombshell but I appreciate her “PERSONAL STYLE”!

  15. I dont understand how her style doesnt fit her personality. That doesnt make sense to me, considering that nobody on this blog knows her personally. Her smile is goodie goodie? ok…………….

Anywho, i like the white blazer outfit.

  16. Her face, make-up and hair do not match a lot of her outfits, except the african one which is more womanly, girly, poised.

  17. Ok….she looks like a very sweet girl who enjoys fashion and tries to put her own twist into her oufits….unfortunately I wouldn’t qualify her to be a bombshell…I think she has a little challenge matching her shoes with her outfits…..her choice of jewlery for each outfit were wrong…in my opinion that is….I honestly wasn’t moved by any of her pieces at all….maybe with time she’ll improve.

  18. Claire, please define what you consider a bombshell? I see a PRETTY girl, in CUTE outfits, that display VERSATILITY; not necessarily “bombshell”.
I would honestly like to hear your definition, perhaps mine needs tweeking? :)

  19. @mak
hey yall>>i think the green dress may be traditional … no need to knock it.

i’M NOT KNOCKING THE THE DRESS B/C IT’S TRADITIONAL.. THEY HAD A BOBSHELL A FEW WEEKS AGO WITH THE SAME TYPE OF THEME AND SHE KILLED IT..THE DRESS THAT SHE HAS ON IS SOMETHING U WOULD WEAR AROUND THE HOUSE.. NOTHING THAT SHOULD BE SUBMITTED AS BOMBSHELL… SO GET GONE…

  20. I personally liked this bombshell. I got a feel of her personality 100% and didn’t feel like anything was forced or contrived. I’m not sure why people say she’s sweet or her clothes aren’t reflecting her personality. I’m sorry-do you know her? I know my smile makes me look like I’m an innocent 12 year old but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Judge on what you know which is what was given-selective pictures to show her style. Stop reaching, assuming, and judging.

  21. In the last pic, cute hair for a soccer mom, nice necklace for a strapless dress maybe, club wear tights with white blazer and tan and black shoes ALL WRONG!!!!

I agree with one of the comments that says the clothes doesn’t seem like her personalitly, I think it the hair styling that’s throwing the looks off, and the jewelry and the shoes lol. My opinion though.

  22. LMFAO @ Hey Y’all….Yes, I think that’s a house dress….you’re a mess.

@ANIKA….Thats my first name. I wonder if we pronounce it the same way.

Cute girl…Style is bleh….Orange cut out dress is cute…

  23. I couldn’t get past a few of the comments. She’s definitely a pretty girl and i like some of her pieces. The only thing i wasn’t really feeling was the brown and green print dress. I’m Panamanian myself so i get it, but it’s old school.

  24. WOW…I was surpise when I hit bombshell…that it was only 26%.

Welp, at least I thought she was a bombshell….she had FAB shoes…nice pieces…cute hair
……and she didnt have on those damn clunkers Jeffrey Campbells or those shiny American apparel leggings or a high-low shirt..no coloring blocking w.colors RED,hot PINK,blue…ijs…lol

  25. Cute girl, safe style. I much rather see someone like this than this faux edgy lady gaga/rihanna schtick some of you are trying to pull on. Do you Nina.

  26. Wow, poor Nina. Claire was not lying when she said ” bring your A game”

Anyways, I think Nina is very cute with a simple style that works for her.
    I’m going to vote bombshell.

  27. I like that she smiles in her pictures instead of having the “instagram face” or the “looking off into the distance” pose.

  28. SHE IS TOO PRETTY! LOVE LOVE LOVE HER SMILE. I had to write it again cuz i’m far from being anonymous lol.

  29. She cute, outfits are WACK… But I have that BCBGMAXAZRIA dress in the first picture…

  30. the hair style does not match the stlye of the clothing. reminds me of mary tyler moore or dick van dykes wife??

  31. Sometimes I’m shocked when I see what everyone else voted, I thought this girl would be a hit for sure!

  32. I like her style I vote bombshell but not a fan of the hat or green dress everything else is good love her shoes
