  1. I like her… Shes something new and fresh I think her shoes work well w/all her looks great bombshell

  2. I live for that fourth pic- the Dress, the sandals and the finger wrist bracelet–Mucho Excellento. Yeah, I kind of agree with Chris…I’ve seen much WORSE, and Claire found something positive to say about them (cough cough lace blouse guy). Anywho, great submission- I guess colorblocking has gone world wide.

  3. Very cute girl, clean look. Claire I am so happy to see that you have followers around the world…

  4. I love it Claire. It changes from the regular girls that we see on FB. Cute girl, love her style and you can see that she is not trying to hard. She is a bombshell.

  5. In all honesty this young lady is a casual dresser that you see walking up and down the streets. Her style is what I would call pleasant, but nothing that I’m amazed or see potential for fashion bomb. I do love how she dresses like a lady and her heels art cute and walkable.

  6. This question is to the young lady Megha (who is probably reading this as she is the featured Bombshell). I’d love to know more about fashion trends in India. Is your look on trend or fashion forward compared to others? Also lets us know about some hot local designers. I feel like fashion bombers are always looking for new and unique pieces.

  7. I’ll definitely start following her blogs! I like her; its fresh & new from all fellow Americanas. My fav was the colorblocking outfit. And I think that was mean commenting on her shoes;

  8. Very pretty! That simple chic aesthetic works for her. I like the 2nd and 4th looks the best. :)

…and who’s to say, her neck of the woods may have lots to offer, if not more…

    @Chris…yeahhh O_o

  9. Its kinda…*shrug* . And i agree with Claire about the shoes. I do like the navy strappy ones. :-) Love that red watch too. And your messy braid; great hair!

I must say, Im surprised your looks arent a little more Eastern then Western. You look like all the women I work with. It wouldve been nice and inspiring to see a sari or two with some modern styling. Just suggestions. I know all women in India dont wear saris.

@ Twerk “And I’m mad at her fucking Kitten Heels” – Evelyn Lozada

LMAOooo!!!! And its all in fun! I grabbed some kittens this weekend for church!

  10. I love her style and she is beautiful.. I disagree with Claire’s shoe comment..the only pair dont care for is the strapy little black sandals in the last pic

  11. I like the bag in the second pic, and the draping of the dress in the third. Overall, nothing really stands out, but she still looks good.

  12. Shes gorgeous!! I like her style…I do agree with Claire’s comment on the shoes though. Theyre not bad, but they’re not great.

  13. “who knows what you may have have available in your neck of the woods? ” Seriously? I suggest people read more and blog less

  14. She’s gorgeous! It’s exciting to see Bombshells from around the world. Her excellent sense of proportions and dressing properly for her frame is something many could take notes from.

P.S. I think her shoe game is cute. ;)

  15. I don’t agree with Claire here. Her shoes are fine, her style is nice and she’s pretty. That’s all I have to say about that :)

  16. wow. claire did go in. if she’s gonna do that, she needs to do it with most of these clowns she posts in her fashion bombshell.

i like the international flair. it’s something different to look at.

  17. I don’t think claire was mean in what she said her shoe game isn’t on point. She looks cute, but there’s nothing special.

  18. I love her style it’s clean and fresh,I did not appreciate the comment you made about her shoes,I see nothing wrong with it.

  19. it’s okay..i despise kitten heels. Also, her outfits are a little too matchy matchy for my taste. I think outfits should COORDINATE. not match perfectly.

    she’s pretty though.

  20. LMAO at Claire’s note. She cracks me up. Rude much? Cute girl, decent looks, shoes are kind of a mess but don’t crucify her, people! lol

  21. not everyone wants to be in 6 inch heels especially if they have things to do. and do not live in a fictional blog world

  22. I’d Like to say that Claire features ladies from all over all of the time, or do most of you only pay attention if she/he isn’t black???
Cute girl, basic style with a few nice pieces.

  23. I really do like her looks, and for her shoes YOU PEOPLE HAVE TO REALIZE coming from another country and etc. her shoe game would be different.

  24. geez that comment was a little unnecessary. true to form, americans will blatantly show their cultural ignorance/rudeness. garsh.

  25. I have to disagree, I think her shoes complement her outfits very well. Not all of us ate stiletto girls ;) I like her style, very fresh. For me, “style” is about embodying your personality into your clothing. Very cute, yet another blog I’ll be stalking.

  26. I love her whole style! I think she looks cute and comfortable. I’m starting to get tired of the super-high heel. I love fashion but when it comes to shoes, I want cute and comfy.

  27. I like her style. I think all her shoes were on point and her outfits look realistic and relate-able.

  28. This girl is average at best, but of course you’re all nice because she’s not black. Her shoes are dusty for the most part…eh.

  29. Thx for submitting! I think your shoe game could improve, but who knows what you may have available in your neck of the woods?

  30. “…. but who knows what you may have available in your neck of the woods?”

Am l the only one bothered by that statement?

  31. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=bangalore&rlz=1I7MOOI_nl&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=jYuET9-8CMXi8APamqytBw&biw=1280&bih=909&sei=kIuET8bWLcfv8QPT7Ly5Bw#um=1&hl=en&rlz=1I7MOOI_nl&tbm=isch&q=bangalore+city&revid=2086818101&sa=X&ei=kYuET-SIAZTz8QOHsfHhBw&ved=0CFcQgxY&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=f6d7e1c949bd0c81&biw=1280&bih=909 : you think she doesnt have enough shoes available in her city? And with that i’m not saying i dislike her shoes, i actually find her a real bombshell! she’s beautiful..

  32. I think her shoes her great! Its hard for some of us to wear to sky high heels! I feel left out when thats all I see! lol She made it work with every outfit and I commend her for including us NON sky high heel wearers. its refreshing. very pretty girl too! :)

  33. Not ever1 is into the trendy heels, for example our 1st lady of the united states dresses so well in flats!, I feel that when claire makes comments she prob means well but its all in how u say it… As a reader I feel like why ask us what we think of the bombshell if youve already made up in your mind that she needs improvement so it makes us as readers look @ bombshells or bomber flaws that we may not have seen . So maybe next time leave it up to the readers to judge

  34. Claire, your comment is degrading and insinuates that nice shoes are not available in India… are you serious? Half the stuff that you probably wear is made in China and India in the first place….. read a book Claire. Seriously

  35. I like the blk/white frock…
@ Brinks, I couldn’t have said it better. No one wants to be labeled as a “hater” (rolls eyes) so they over compensate. Submissions from Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, etc. are never give a break b/c they may/may not have access to certain types of clothing. Why should she be given one?

  36. Ok…some of you got really carried away with the one little sentence I put at the end of the post. I didn’t mean anything by it, but let’s unpack it, shall we?
“I think your shoe game could improve…”
I didn’t say her shoes were busted. I didn’t say they sucked. I didn’t say I wish they were three inch platform stilettos. Or that she should spend $800 on her footwear. I personally thought that the shoes were the one aspect where her style could *improve*. I love kitten heels. I wrote a whole post about them, and said in a comment how much I like them. The cost, height, have nothing to do with it. .

“… but who knows what you may have available in your neck of the woods?”
I’ve never been to Bangalore. Do they have Aldo? Topshop? Nine West? Jessica Simpson? I dunno. So even though her shoes aren’t my fave, I’m not sure if she has tons of options to choose from where she is. So I actually took a step back from my comment and said, “Your shoes aren’t my fave, but maybe you don’t have a ton of selection.”

The whole ‘selection’ thing has been brought up with Caribbean Bombshells as well; I know my cousins in the Bahamas have to fly to Miami to stock up on clothes, etc.
Lastly, my opinion is just that. Everyone has one. Which is why I asked what you thought at the end, and will continue to ask, even if you don’t agree with what I think.
    X

  37. Y’all will go harder for this basic Indian heaux than you would for a sista, big her up when she is just average. Sad.

  38. Oh for goodness sake Brinks, put it away. It is not necessary to jump on the ‘race’ train.

Now, to the topic at hand…I’m sorry but her looks are boring. I didn’t hate anything but didn’t really care for anything either. Her style is not inspiring at all.

I DID however, love the side ponytail!

  39. Really? we attack Claire because the young ladies shoe game is boring. her shoes are cute, but they are nothing to scream about. Now we have a whole bunch of indians screaming in here about some shoes. When I went to India the only thing i saw was a great abundance of poverty and colorism. She should be glad she wasn’t born in the bottom of the caste system. Be glad her style is “OK” and step your shoe game up. Thats it.

  40. Also there is nothing wrong with wearing kitten heels. Not all women can walk around in high heels. I can walk in super high heels, but many women can’t. Some kitten heels are very nice, especially the few I have in my closet. I just wasn’t feeling the style of her shoes. Sky High heels are quietly making their way out of the door anyways. You can wear kitten heels, but just don’t make them boring.

  41. I see potential, but I don’t see anything I like. Sure seems like everyone’s been attacking Claire lately. I personally love it when Claire comments on all the bombshells, mail bombs and etc even when her opinion differs from mine. I just like reading others’ opinions.

  42. Claire,

eh….her neck of the woods shoes are nice! I’m sorry but shoes that look like they are architectural visuals are not the only shoes….

100% FASHION BOMB SHELL, her shoe game 100.1%

  43. Claire, you don’t have to respond every time people go in on you (because it seems to happen often now, I guess the price of popularity). Otherwise you’ll spend all your time responding to people.

  44. claire that comment about shoes and neck of the woods is ignorant at its best i dont care how u want to sugar coat it or be defencive about it. i am an international reader as in not in the states. That comment has negative cannotations to it and just sound damn ignorant. back to bombshell love her

  45. bik rose i doubt it very much u have been past your hood with a comment like that. love love the bombshell.

  46. @ray ray Learn how to spell before you call someone else ignorant. Maybe try using a period or two.

  47. hmm, why so feisty ppl. Let’s not go there with the “race talk” please. This is our happy blog.

  48. some of the comments are blatantly rude and disrespectful for no reason…..anyway, love her fashion from head to toe, i like classy and elegant styles that are timeless. snaps all around for Megha.

and i agree with Krystel – this is a happy place, how about we learn to not make comments about other races/cultures that we would not allow people to make about our own.
WOC does not only apply to african-american/african/black people, so lets support ALL WOC who have a hard time being as it is getting by in this world.

  49. les- diabolique coudnt agree with you more. i love that the fashion bombs are becoming culturally diverse. This girl got style.

  50. I like her style. I also appreciate seeing the styles of the international Bombshells.

  51. Hello everyone. Thank you so much for the support. Woke up today morning to loads of hate emails against claire.

Guys lets not go to racism. We are better than that.

I agree with you guys that the statement was distasteful. There is way to put across constructive criticism and being rude. But having said that I have no hard feelings against claire.Probably she could have been worded it better like “not a huge fan of the shoes.” The other part was unnecessary.

I look at it this way.

Everyone has there opinion and I respect all your opinion. As a blogger if i put up a photo I should take both criticism and praise in my stride. If not I shouldn’t be blogging. Expecting everything to be bed of roses is like living in a dream world.

If I wasn’t good I wouldn’t be ON FASHION BOMB or claire wouldn’t have picked me. She definitely thinks I am fashion bomb material :) Every person has own style and brings something new to the fashion arena.

On a lighter note :) ..I did learn something from this “Every shoe has an opinion” :)

Thanks for all the support :) means a lot to me. Thank you for all the wonderful comments to.. :) Would love to connect with all of you on my blog as well.

    Megha
    http://meghafashionista.blogspot.com

  52. Wow claire.i have seen americans with worse shoe game than her yet you went in on her.not cool:(

  53. Ms Claire, I love love your blog & yes that comment about her shoes was distasteful especially coming from someone as well traveled as you. At the same time, you’re very much entitled to your opinion. Bon nuit

  54. Hey Megha..dont pay attention to what she has written..we all love your style..be it ur clothes, accessories or shoes..you’re a fashion diva :)) way to go girl!!

  55. @Blkrose…a bunch of indians screaming? really? are you serious right now? i’m sure if someone non black said a bunch of black getting crazy you’d call that person racist. smh why is it only one way?

  56. I still don’t see where the problem is. This girl is average, but then got her knucklehead friends to come on here and act a fool. I don’t think Claire’s comments were nearly as cruel as some left on this thread. Y’all are wilin. I guess we have to step on eggshells if the girl isn’t black. Some of you are so brainwashed and stupid.

  57. Claire,
As a PR professional you cannot dismiss that some of your readers/supporters disagree with your comment. It’s what we’ve learned as children: it’s not what you said it’s how you said it. I thought it was in bad taste because I work with image and words daily, but also because again something we learned as kids: if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything. Your comment did not acknowledge what you did like about her style….

  58. That’s a rather harsh comment Claire(esp coming from the blog editor).I really don’t know how necessary it is for you to inject your opinion in this section!

Anyway she is a cute girl and i love her easy breezy look

  59. …and Claire your reason for making that comment is as silly as hell. Honestly, you sound so damn ignorant and uneducated. I guess if you live in a country that does not have Aldo, Topshop, Nine West & Jessica Simpson your civilization and development can be questioned. You really are getting to big for your shoes ma’am.Shame on you!

  60. Claire, you have a LOT of nerve. Who are YOU to tell anyone to improve their shoe game? Some of your critiques are uncalled for. You are by no means a fashion expert or icon. And since we’re being snarky, the next time you decide to wear that Boxing Kitten dress, DON’T unless you lose a good 25 pounds.

  61. “who knows what is available in your neck of the woods” ? Wow…the height of condescension. So if she wears kitten heels, it can’t be because it’s her aesthetic. It has got to be because there aren’t what you may consider better shoes in India. *scoff*…

  62. That said, I like her style. It’s not anything we haven’t seen before but it’s her style and it suits her well. I don’t like kitten heeled shoes but I think they work for her and they don’t look as atrocious when she pulls the outfits together. There’s a chic elegance about her I like.

  63. @aha you called the girl an Indian heaux??? For what though? What did she do?? Smh.. Some of you come here and display another level of coonery though..

  64. Perhaps I see where Claire is coming from because every country, has access to certain things more readily than others. The problem is how Claire nonchalantly wrote it. It was too rude and assumptive for me but like I always say, “People from other countries are racist, American’s are ignorant”. Claire, regardless of what you meant, you need to apologize because your comment was off putting.
Moving on, its obvious Western culture has influenced her, but I wish she sent pics of her in Indian attire. I love the colors and gold accents of Indian garments. So luxurious!

  65. Some of you have taken this glorious moment to bash me. Have at it.
Believe it or not, I read all the comments. In the past 24 hours I’ve been called ignorant, condescending, uneducated, small minded, a lover of ridiculous heels, a spend thrift, out of touch, and now fat (!). Thankfully I know that I am none of the above, and that even with alll these nasty comments, I’m ok. Guess it comes with the territory.
Megha and I had an exchange on Twitter where we discussed my controversial phrase and we both agreed the wording was wrong (nothing has been altered from the original post). But Megha, as she indicated in her comment, said that she takes criticism in stride, as do I. Again, it comes with the territory as a blogger.
With that said, I apologize to all those who took offense. Again, didn’t mean anything by it. I said, ‘I don’t know what you may have available’ which meant I am indeed ‘ignorant’ to your shopping options. Perhaps I’ll go to India and see for myself!
I’m sure more people will come on and say something negative, but what more can I do, but continue to do what I love, which is blog about fashion.
And thankfully a series of negative comments won’t stop me from doing so.
    Love and Light,
    Claire
PS Stay tuned, there’s a Style Diary today. Yet another opportunity to call me fat perhaps? I kid.

  66. I am sure you usually are not any of the adjectives used to chastise you. However, in this case, you were insensitive and the words aptly describe you.

    Waiting on the Style Diary!

  67. OK from reading all the comments i see that this is a somewhat controversial piece. I love her. The first thing i thought when i saw the post was “India? Thats freakin awesome!” I like the way she dresses. And the color blocked outfit somewhat makes me feel a sort of connection with her because that trend is going on her in America. I am dissappointed in the negativity that the commentors have been giving. I feel that as Americans we may be giving off the wrong image/vibe with the way that we are acting. I’m proud of the fact that Claire is doing worldwide and multicultural bombshells. And i think what many of the comment fail to acknowledge is the fact that fashion is different wherever you go. I dont feel that Claire was insensitive, THIS IS HER BLOG! And when it’s your blog you can say what you want, however you want. That’s how i feel. Claire I thank you for bringing on an international bombshel and hope that you bring many more;-)

  68. This is so ridiculous and it’s gotten out of hand. Okay let’s not even look at the shoes since its causing so much controversy. Her clothes and other accessories still aren’t that amazing. Y’all are hyping this girl up.

  69. Oh good lord people get over it and over yourselves women have been called men on this blog and most of y’all have agreed with that crap don’t get all holier than thou over a pair of dang shoes. I am Zimbabwean, loud and proud about it but I will be honest we don’t have plenty of hot shoes or hot shoe stores available here, a lot of people find imports or go to South Africa to shop and those who don’t, well their shoe games are off. It’s actually a relevant comment. Honestly I hope the same amount of passion and venom you displayed over a throw away comment which wasn’t meant to be rude( do you really think Claire would go out of her way to be nasty as heck on a high profile blog, seriously…) you display over REAL A$$ issues in life. Pathetic and Claire not everyone is gonna like you or like what you say, clearly the majority love this blog aqnd your style and your sass or they wouldn’t read this blog in the first place, nasty comments or no and those who were rude wil be here today surfing this blog. And yes her shoes are basic there is nothing bombshell about them be honest.

  70. @ Claire,

I just had an issue you with the comment. There is no need for people to have taken personal jibes @ you. Seems like it was a cultural mishap-both parties misunderstanding@other. Your opine is always appreciated. Don’t fret!!!

Proud of a fellow sistah doin it big and fashionably so in AMERIIIIKA!!!:)

  71. I will say, I was a bit shocked to read your comment, Claire, in regards to her neck of the woods…it was a bit ignorant and very bad choice of words. I think many times Americans get caught up in this selfish we are the ‘it’ factor mentality. Regardless, still love you Claire and I am sure your intention was not to insult.

Back the the sister posted, she is beautiful. Though her style is not POW it is very flattering and subtly sexy, which I love and appreciate.

Can’t wait to check out her blog.

  72. Her style is quite boring y’all are just being nice, nicer than usual might I add & why is everyone bashing Claire its ok to disagree with her but to demean & belittle her is ridiculous I do not always agree with her but I don’t don’t attack her for it I didn’t see the comment as that big of a deal

  73. zimbabwe chic i am zimbabwean as well and you are making me ashamed. i guess wakakurira kumagaba thats why you don’t know that zim girl are rocking fashion like no mans business. get over your self. In real life words are important.

  74. @another zim girl if you learned to read I said we aren’t floating in hot shoe stores many find imports or go to SA and those who can’t afford to do so have to be basic (last time I checked Bata was wack!)ie plenty of girls are fly but we rely on imports or shopping outside the country to stay fly. Do I have to write it down in Shona for you to understand, where did i say we aren’t fly. Point out the sentence and I’ll give you your kudos. Kwana shamwari isn’t. Words may be important but you need to stop reading them where you didn’t see them. It’s people like you who go off cos of a perceived slight which wasn’t even in my post that make fashionbomb irritating sometimes.Point out the sentence where I said Zim girls aren’t fly, don’t worry I will wait

  75. Claire – I don’t think your comment is racist, BUT you did come off uneducated with the “neck of the woods” comment. I’m originally from Bangalore and I now live in Washington D.C. Knowing both cultures since I grew up in both countries, I think she looks great!! If someone like Michele Obama was wearing a pair of shoes that weren’t great looking, you wouldn’t make a “neck of the woods” comment!! You would probably say that is not your taste, but not make a distasteful comment. If you choose to highlight international “bombshells” I suggest you not make comments such as these.

  76. she is a bombshell!! I love that you do feature different nationalities Claire; since you’ve featured me once and I am Mexican. I love your site! You girls need to stop being so dam harsh! Gheez Claire can state her opinion you guys need to relax! Claire your amazing !!!! Love you girl!

  77. Maybe the love for this blog has all our cycles aligned together. That would explain all the mean spirited comments made across the board. Is fashion that serious that you would break another human being down to pieces? We are our own worst enemies as women…

  78. I know that I’m tardy to this comment party, but can someone tell me what’s wrong with the subject’s shoe game? I don’t ask because I disagree (though I didn’t find anything wrong with her shoes…); I ask because I’m curious about the specifics of others’ observations. I want to know the details.

Did some of you find her shoes to be boring? If so, how? Not enough variety? Was it the style? The designer? The color? The way her shoes fit with her outfit?

I don’t think Claire’s comment was so horrible, but it certainly could have been phrased differently. Anyway, ‘m curious to know how fashionistas think the subject could have improved her shoe game. For the record, I realize that tastes are subjective. ;-)

  79. Am I the only person who was staring at the computer screen with mouth wide open for that “boxing kitten dress” comment!!! WOW ….Anyway because she her style is effortless, classy and might I add very chic ppl call her boring SMH I love her style….this coming from someone who loves to dress very “loud” and out-there…..The looks complement her well. Very clean and tasteful! Bombshell for me!

P.S….I see nothing wrong with her shoe game! I love pumps but she made what she has work for her!

  80. I don’t like Indians, they are super racist and color struck. If this was an Indian blog a black woman would never be allowed to post her Dark skin on their blog. I’ve been around enough of them to know that I would never associate myself with them. Most Indians don’t even like blacks, why even bother posting her.
