Today we’re going to Houston, Texas (baby) with Bombshell Marnita:

She says, “My style is “something old, something new”.”

” I really enjoy thrifting and combining my findings with something contemporary to create a fashion masterpiece.”

… There is awesome apparel and accessories at the thrift stores I frequent in Houston and I don’t believe you have to break the bank to be fashionable or trendy.”

“… Designer brands can be expensive but I think it’s all about how a person wears an outfit that speaks volumes.”

” All of my thrift store haul pieces fall under $10…”

“…and I feel I pair them well enough to still pull off a modern look.”

” I took the Shakespeare quote, “A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet…” and kind of changed it around a bit: “A cute outfit by any other name would still be as cute!””

Interesting axiom! At any rate, your style is jazzy…I like it! My favorite look may have to be your green and orange colorblocking moment.

  1. Very nice. Not a fan of the high-waisted jeans leggings but I just love the look with the white blouse and blue pencil skirt, my kind of style. I also love the teal shirt and orange pants, the colours and cut are just fab!

  2. I only like the first outfit with the wide leg orange pants. The look is very chic and classic. Everything else is eehhh…….doesn’t want make me want to duplicate…

  3. She over-accessorizes most of her outfits, but they’re still cute. Not bombshell, but not boring either

  4. I like the outfits, my only suggestion would be to choose better accessories. Trade in the plastic bangles and earrings for classier and more chic pieces. And play with your hair a little bit more. Try a high bun, a braid, or curls. These little things can enhance your already very pretty style.

  5. I appreciate a lady who loves to thrift. I am passionate about finding new life in old clothes and I’m glad that there are others out there.

  6. Ummm some great and some ok, i agree with the hair suggestion …..and I couldnt help but notice the comment above…you “can’t with the readers of this blog?!” Lol you’re a reader though….

  7. I think she did well especially from thrifting cause some ppl go too far when they try it and to the comment above (a reader of this blog) ^^^^everyone is entitled to their own opinions right?!

  8. Oh my, the orange and teal looks gave me chills. Loved it!

Also, love the spectacles in the photo where she is wearing the red blazer.

I like her looks a lot. She brought the sun out in Toronto on this rainy day.

  9. @ kiss my FASHION is this about the fact that the majority of readers on this site didn’t like your raggedy style?

ANYWAY, I like the teal and orange look! And I love those spectacles in the photo with red blazer :)

  10. @ kiss my FASHION are you bitter because the majority of readers on this site did not care for your raggedy looks?

  11. I voted Bombshell. I love all of her outfits, and I love her Shakespeare quote/philosophy when it comes to putting clothes together to make an outfit. She seems like a lovely person, and her smile is refreshing. Keep doing your thing girl!

  12. Love the colors and the way she styles her accessories with the outfits. Her jewelry doesn’t over clutter her looks – subtle and sweet like a rose. She seems like such a darling!

  13. She dresses great, alot better than some of the other features and just curious but which bombshell profile was @kiss my FASHION….I gotta see this and form my own opinion and maybe even laugh…..

  14. I agree everyone is entitled to their opinion. But it seems these individuals that have been voted bombshells are EXTREMELY trendy. Where is the individuality? My opinion of a bombshell is that they are innovative in their style and that you could possibly pull some inspiration from their use of color, or something…Like many of the other individuals that have been voted bombshell it screams hipster not inspiration.

It actually has nothing to do with people not feeling my style from my previous submission. I’ll admit those weren’t the best choice of photos given the audience of The Fashion Bomb. But being that many of you never worked fashion week, styled music videos, ad campaigns or got into the country’s top fashion school like me idgaf about votes. I just wanted the pageviews ;).

  15. i like her. she looks like a grown up with style. not over the top or under the radar. i think she hits a good mark.

  16. Nice style. Gorgeous girl. However, her beautiful facial features should be the focal point, not the hair. It’s a distraction in that it takes way from her looks. Either pin it up, cut it low, or grow it natural.

  17. I live in Houston. This just bores me. I won’t say anything rude, I’ll just wait for the next bombshell.
