  1. WOW….how rude can you be…everyone’s take on beauty is not the same gtfoh…Danyell keep doing what you do that is why you are the bombshell of the day!

  2. Too cute! Her hair is fly, her accessories are on point and her style is fun & flirty.

Dame, you’re rude as hell…I hope Claire deletes your ridiculous comment

  3. Comment deleted. I was working on another post (that’s the bomb!) and didn’t see it until now. Carry on. For the record, overly harsh and malicious comments will be removed. Thanks, the Management.

  4. You look confident and beautiful! Love how you accessorize your outfits. WTF @Dame?! Dame sucks- You rock Danyell!

  5. Once again, someone not dressing for their body type and thinking trendy = style. I appreciate the effort but the that last look with the too short dress and cheap boots, um no. And the spiked up quick weave looks horrible!

  6. Thanks For Those Who Support! But Im Go Leave The Haters With My Fame Kanye West Quote:
“Now I can let these dream killers kill my self esteem-or use my arrogance as steam to power my dreams!!!”

  7. @ friend or foe. I usually don’t respond to other’s comments because I believe even one is entitled to their own opinion. But how would you recommend she dress for her body type? I think she is. To me everything fits correctly and I like the length of that dress, it’s a summer dress.

  8. @friend or foe Girl! I Completely Dress For My Body Type! Girl Boom! And Those Boots Are Cheap Honey, Those Are Steve Madden And The Spiked Is Fab! If You Want A Better Look At It Check Out My Blog Or Look Me Up On Facebook Honey! Thanks!

  9. I think she looks nice! I hate to sound cliche and say she dresses nicely for her size, but she’s rocking with what God gave her! I see no bulges or ripples showing through her clothes. Hell, some girls that are a size 4 have a hard time hiding their fupa or celly. Her clothes fit her well, and I like her accessories.

  10. @FashionBum82 Yes! I Come For People Hating! Cause When Ever I Walk Out The Door I Stylin’ No Need For Profilin’ And A Hand Full Of N***GAS Holla Cause They Think Im That Top Model Diva! HA!

  11. @friend or foe Girl! I Completely Dress For My Body Type! Girl Boom! And Those Boots Aren’t Cheap Honey, Those Are Steve Madden And The Spiked Is Fab! If You Want A Better Look At It Check Out My Blog Or Look Me Up On Facebook Honey! Thanks!

  12. The Fashion Bombshell with the blond hair and Natasha757 had awesome responses to their negative critique. It made them more endearing, imo. Danyell, I click on the Fashion Bombshell comments often to read them, just like I’m sure you’re doing right now. But the quality of your responses can either make you more attractive or ugly. There’s no need to bring out the inner Nene Leakes! Just a suggestion. Carry on.

  13. You look AMAZING Danyell…anyone who says otherwise is just puffing out some steam cause they mad they aren’t fly enough or brave enough to send their photos to this site so keep doing you girl! Stay classy, chic, and oh so fabulous! :)

  14. I love the looks, opinions are like butt holds everyone has one. Keep doing you girl and stay fly.

  15. I am a follower of fashionbomb daily and I know that there are rude people out there, but us woman especially woman of color need to uplift each other instead of the harsh and distasteful comments. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; its not what you say its how you say it.

Danyell, you better Work! Love the choice of colors and the overall looks.

    “Confidence doesn’t Whisper”~

    Love the

  16. Love your style, Danyell. I think we share the same personal color palette with lots of gray, black and cream. I look forward to visiting your personal blog for more great looks.

  17. I rarely leave comments, but it is just ridiculous when we maliciously attack people due to our own insecurities. I noticed that a responder by the name of “friend or foe” stated that Danyell didn’t dress for her body type, and I’d have to disagree. She looks classy and understands how to accentuate and enhance her best features.

I’m not saying that you have to like it, but it is all about respect. Think of the areas of your body that you don’t like, and think of how you’d feel if someone attacked you in a less than constructive manner. We all have them (flaws), regardless of your size.

Women in general need to work more on improving how we react and respond to one another. UNITY & LOVE cures all!!!

–SMOOCHES to all the fab ladies just doing YOU!!!!

  18. Danyelle,
I saw that comment earlier and it seemed like that individual had a personal problem with you. Clearly he/she has no real fashion commentary so I hope you let that reply roll off you. You look good girl!

  19. Not bad, i think she dresses good for her body type she’s not wearing nothing overly tight. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but you should be respectful going about it.

  20. I didnt see the comment, but apparently is was uncalled for, In my opinion people can have their own opinions without being harsh but in the same breath when you post pics u put yourself out there for all type of comment everybody does not like the same thing… yal killin me with all this hater talk, but I do think you should respectfulful comment on all post as you would want someone to respectfully comment on anything of yours rather they like it or not. With that being said I am not a fan of this bombshell’s style but she is a beautiful girl

  21. Style is cool. I think you could benefit from pops of color here and there. And I’d like to see you rock some heels or wedges. I think you should watch your necklace and earring combinations. If you have a lot going on with the necklaces, then I think your earrings should be smaller and vice versa.

  22. I think this bomshell has style and dresses well for her BT(body type). Nothing looks too tight and nothing is hanging out… I admire anyone who has the guts to send in their photo to be judged on their style, because alot of times people can be harsh!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn’t wear some of the pieces she’s displaying in these pics because they’re not my style…… they’re Hers and that’s all that matters!!!!

  23. Now, now. I don’t usually participate in catfights so I won’t judge – except for one thing. Ms. Danyell says her black boots are Steve Madden but here http://caviardreamsbudget.onsugar.com/What-I-Wore-8263296 on her site she says they’re “Shoes: Wanted Boots Purchased From Ebay”.

Maybe you (Danyelle) have two of the EXACT same pair… one from Steve Madden (cheap I do wear them) and another from WANTED (cheap and I refuse to wear), yes?

Needless to say, most of her site’s What I Wore… items are very low budget. Not that it’s a bad thing (see the blog title) but you ain’t got to lie to kick it. Be honest. Who cares about the pricepoint when you work what you have. Have a good day.

  24. Danyell, this day obviously means a lot to you, given your frequent comments and responses to everyone who has left a comment to you today but my critique is strictly my opinion. I don’t believe that my comment was disrespectful, but I do want to respond. 1. I do not like the helmet hair effect that the quick weave gives when it is off of your face, it distorts your hairline. 2. Leggings are not PANTS! Leggings and skinny jeans taper at the bottom and isn’t a flattering silhouette for those on those who are wider on top, it creates an upside down triangle effect. 3. I like a bargain as much as the next woman but Steve Madden is not “designer” boo, but I checked out your blog, so compared to the Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 shoes you currently wear I guess it is higher end for you. It is far more sensible to estimate the Cost Per Wear, if shoes costs $15 and you are only able to wear them twice and they tear up then you got approximately $7.50 per wear than if you spend $75 and are able to wear them for several seasons. But I am a firm believer that you can buy SOME things for less that don’t cheapen you if you select the right pieces but boots should cost more than a ten piece at Popeyes. Everyone who doesn’t leave a flattering comment is not a “hater” when you put yourself out there for others to critique, take it for what it is and keep it moving.

  25. wow somebody’s thong is tooo tight smh! relax its fashion bomb not effing bad girls club be easy boo..

  26. Friend or Foe– It’s no surprise you would make that argument when you’re completely hating on this woman. Firstly, attacking another woman with sly remarks relating to a “ten piece” at popeyes and using comparative statements to try and disrespect their character is not constructive criticism… it is “hating”. Style is one’s own visual portrayal of their personalities… and like it or love it… this is who Ms. Danyell is as a person. Please do not confuse style and fashion– they are two different things. You are free to openly make suggestions or comments but in a condescending tone that even others can interpret all over the web is NOT classy– it soley cheapens your personality and critique as an individual. Danyell, I believe your style looks good on you… your hair is creative and a few of your signature pieces I truly love. I’m personally not a fan of wearing leggings as pants as it draws focus to your bottom half and doesn’t accentuate your best features but I do think you do a great job of putting pieces together. There’s a way to be critical without being cynical… before others choose to criticize others, consider putting your pictures up here and let us take a look at your style as well.

  27. She should feel good in whatever she wears and shouldn’t have to lie about anything in order to appease/pacify anyone; especially those of us in a comments section. With that said, this is a fashion blog which allows a spotlight to be shown. Whenever you submit your pictures you face a potential lion’s den.

She’s a young lady, dressing within her budget and although the cloths aren’t my taste, I don’t have any gripes with them. For the record, I hope she wasn’t thinking I (in particular) was gunning for her. I was giving a little constructive criticism.

  28. Once again. Mess in the comments. WHy is it that every time a bombshell is heavy and is wearing something that she obviously likes and feels good in and doesn’t at all look bad in, people have to give ‘suggestions’ on what she ‘should’ be wearing. :/ Keep it moving pimpin.

BAY AREA! You look cute Danyell!! :D

  29. If someone does not like another persons style, why is that considered hating? The fact of the matter is, everyone has their own taste in fashion, and not everyone is going to like what another person is wearing. This is a comments section, and people are going to express their feelings, whether you like them or not. You people need to relax.

With that said, I personally do not like everything Danyell is wearing in the photos, however, I like the photo of her wearing all black with the pearl necklace.

  30. The hair is awful. BW stop wearing bad wigs/weaves. They make you appear mentally ill.

  31. fat and fashionable is still fat. if you don’t like opinions, then don’t put yourself out there. I think danyell does a good job dressing an oversized body, but I happen to think clothes look better overall on thinner women. and i’m closer to her size than skinny, so i know of what i speak. i love clothes and fashion but it is what it is. at the end of the day you can put all the clothes you want on a body that is overweight, or you can spend your money trying to get healthier. that’s my opinion and i’m entitled to it, just as you all are entitled to yours.

  32. She looks great… I love the fact that she knows what works for her body type…. And thank you thank you thank you for one – repping the Big girls, two wearing your exact size and three, not showing cleavage….. You just proved you can be big and sexy, without being trashy… @ the person who said she got on cheap shoes… Why you care? If its a problem… Buy her a pair…

  33. I agree and disagree with some of the comments. I personally do not like the hairstyle in the top photos. I am completely against wigs and hairstyles that do not look real. But I understand that hair is an accessory now so to each… Anyway your style is cute. It is good that you are dressing for your size and not letting it all hang out. I think the last photo was your best minus the blonde hair, but you managed to make that cute as well. Because you are a cute girl! Don’t let anyone make you feel like your aren’t.
I do think when you but your photos out there you have to be ready to take the good criticisms with the bad. People are not nice and they judge. It’s just the way of the world. Keep doing you and keep it classy. Next time just ignore the negativity. Don’t let them pull you into acting foolish.

  34. I don’t agree 100% but I will be respectful. I like the outfits and accessory choices. Your make-up is on point too… I would like the hair, it does look helmut hair and the additional coloring is not complementing. A more soft natural curl would have worked for me.

  35. also just went to you blog site… I would kill for your eyes they show alot of happiness and contentment.

  36. @ Friend or Foe I really hate it when people who claim to know so much about fashion try to diss others based on labels and price points. Its the stupidest thing I ever heard. Do you read fashion magazines? Do you know the real difference between designers and knock offs? Unless its made by hand or haute couture many of the designers goods are made out of the same material, in the same factories and by the same people who make the knock offs, whats the difference? Mostly the label or the name. Those $400 Chanel glasses are made out of the plastic as the $5 knock off on the corner boo. Unless you are filthy rich I think its stupid to try to keep up with someone who is by blowing your whole paycheck on a label! You can look good for cheap. And please stop talking about quality like just because it costs more its a better quality. This is also not always true. I have broken a heel on a pair of Jimmy Choos in the past and busted a strap on a pair of Wanted $10 sandals. Nothing last forever bottom line. So pleeaase stop with the hate already! Its just NOT attractive.

  37. @Esha the Diva,
i’m in the fashion industry and i can guarantee that the materials used by designers are not the same materials being used in knock offs…the reason you pay high prices for designer is because you are paying for quality…the only reason knock offs exist is purely to satisfy the consumer who cannot afford such luxury items, so when it comes to manufacturing cost it would make no sense to charge $10 for a knock off if its made out of the same materials as the $1000 designer…plus everyone knows that one of the easiest ways to spot a knock off is by the cheap materials it is comprised of and how poorly it is constructed…

  38. @ FYI EXCUSE ME?! NOT ALL DESIGNER CLOTHES ARE MADE OF PRICEY OR SPECIAL MATERIAL, SOME ARE MADE OF THE SAME STUFF AS THE CHEAP STUFF PLEASE STOP ACTING LIKE YOU ARE AN AUTHORITY, MY AUNT IS A BUYER AT BERGDORFS SWEETIE, TRUST SOME OF THE DVF STUFF IS JUST PLAIN COTTON, CUT IT OUT!!!!!!

  39. PLUS SOME DESIGNER STUFF IS MASS PRODUCED SO PLEASE STOP LIKE I SAID IF IT ISNT MADE BY HAND THE QUALITY IS PROBABLY NOT THAT GREAT-TRUST I HAVE A GF WHO’S ENTIRE LUGGAGE COLLECTION IS LV CIRCA THE 1980s, I BOUGHT MY FIRST LV SPEEDY 40 for a WHOPPING $805 AND COMPARED TO HERS MINE LOOKS LIKE TRASH ALTHOUGH ITS STRAIGHT FROM THE LV STORE!

  40. i think she dresses pretty well for her size and shape, although no one should ever wear tights as pants.

and i agree with esha the diva, some of the knock-offs are produced at the same factories as the originals with the same materials. some factories are unscrupulous with the leftovers from producing designer materials and use it for knock-offs. i also agree that the quality of a lot of designer items aren’t what they used to be. i bought a gucci bag a couple of years ago with metallic piping that has chipped away so much, i am loathe to wear it outside. i spent a lot of money for a designer piece of sh*t. designer clothes aren’t everything. it’s the way you put it together.

i also think people should be able to share their opinions negative or positive as long as they aren’t making personal attacks.

  41. I’m not even going to respond to @Esha the Diva because she clearly is a bitter person who is mad that she has to speak from a 2nd hand perspective not 1st hand…when u get TWO, not one but TWO, fashion degrees (BA/BFA not AS) then get at me!!!

However, to @esme, that sucks about your bag, but you know you can always bring it back to the store and either send it out to get fixed or get a new one (depending on the damage) on their dime. I have done it for a client before without the receipt and everything and they gladly fixed it. Just thought I’d let you know!

  42. Werk sister Werk! I read through the comments you getting a lot of love! I picked out that last dress let me pat my self on the back! I think it is great to see a plus size young lady who knows how to dress for her body! Where were from these “Ladies” my sister’s size wear absolutely nothing lace leggings and corsets and dresses with their backs out and rolls showing! So to see someone plus looking classy, sexy, and chic is a rare find in the bay! So two snaps and a twist to my sis!

  43. she’s dresses nice for her body type. Love this site but the “urban commentators” are so cruel. honestly this is a reason why i hate clicking “continue reading”…

  44. She dresses well for her size! she doesn’t have lumps and bumps sticking out. The last pic was a mess, but she understands her body. In the end, sliming down sis fashoinable!.
