  1. I saw her featured elsewhere before and after looking at her blog I found that her looks are hit or miss with me…..she has great pieces but I rarely like an entire look that she rocks mainly b/c I hate cheap looking accessories and detectable lacefronts and she never mastered the art of making cheap look chic….some of it just looks cheap…overall beautiful lady tho and I love that she has her own sense of style even if I don’t like most of them.

  2. umm.. I love that she embraces her body type. I think that it’s something everyone should do. She dresses very nicely. But what is that bird around her neck?

  3. I love the color and confidence and the fit, but that black to blonde wig is a Janice Combs NO NO! Lose that, and win big time miss lady! Also, the Grace Jones lookin feather thingie has got to geaux!

  4. I read her blog. She has alot of great pieces. Some of her looks are a real win. I agree with some of the readers that its hit or miss. Sometimes its too much like zebra ring, zebra earrings, zebra bracelet, zebra shoes, zebra bag, and zebra belt. But I love seeing pieces on her from the major plus retailers because i get to see them on a real plus body.

  5. Lawdttt….I’m a plus/ curvy girl my damed self…but one thing I loathe about “us” is why is it always the bigger the girl the bigger the everything! Hair, jewelry, make up, purses, boa, prints etc….I’m so sorry but I just hear Monique’s voice in every picture…”HAAAAYY….BABY…HAAAAY!!! (Lawd)

  6. Her confidence is definitely her best accessory. Love it. I like most of her looks, some others are o_O

  7. I Love It! Sure, the accessories are a bit extra, but the clothing in each picture are ON POINT! Yes Maam!

  8. I luv it…you can totally tell she’s dress for herself and this is her style…its not my style…but I luv that she owns its..

  9. I’m sorry I don’t like one outfit. Over the top not in a good way. The clothes look cheap, at least they fit well. That wig just ages her. Well at least she has great confidence.

  10. She looks like the fun, younger aunty who let’s you curse & have a wine cooler when your mom isn’t around.

Some of the accessories or over-the-top, but I have a feeling so is her personality. WORK Aunty Bella!

  11. Her confidence is great, and the white jumpsuit def works, bc not everyone (no matter what size) can get away w a jumpsuit. But the short wig? The feather collar? Very much like ur Aunt who will tell you how she had it goin on back in the day..

  12. Hmmm…she has a few good looks, but for the most part she’s doing too much. I like the colorful floral dress and the gold clutch. The feathered neck piece and the over-sized multiple jewels have to go.

  13. not a fan bbw world (for the sake of HEALTH) … but this is a Fashion BLOG SO LET ME RESPECT MYSELF!!!…. SHE IS QUITE the extradonaire . Its funny not until i discovered Fashion blogs did i know there was world for BBW. Loving it Boo, you give me oxygen. (expect for that Feather Catastrophe *sipstea*)

  14. uhm, first of all I Love your smile, girl, you light up the room!

second, your calves are ridiculously elegant.

i give it three snaps, a twist and a kiss

  15. such a pretty girl…I like it…I never say anything negative, but I must beg her to loose the little wigs…they are really ruining it for me. I’m rocking a baldie right now so I’ve been overly critical…but I do think it can distract for real beauty…and this woman is beautiful….I love everything else…just looooooose the little wigs…trust me. DMV stand up!

  16. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THE CLOTHES!!! CURVY AND GORGEOUS!!! (at the risk of sounding like a hater, I hate the wigs, they have to go)

  17. Now that’s a woman who knows how to dress for her body type! She’s beautiful, classy and elegant!

  18. I think her style is great. She looks very well put together in all the pics and unlike most I actually liked all the looks. I think her clutch game is on point and I applaud her for not wearing too tight clothes, which I think is the REAL issue from all the plus size bashing that sometimes goes on. I liked the feathers…looks like a special occasion accessory and I’m sure she wasn’t dressed like that for the office so… big deal. I agree about the wig. The wig keeps her beauty from shining through because its so obviously synthetic!

  19. Super cute. I dig that white jumpsuit. I think she needs to be careful with being too “matchy-matchy” with her accessories and maybe switch up the wig.

  20. I like it. I would lose a neck piece if youve got show stopper earrings; the white jump and black dress are my faves.

    Beautiful.

  21. I love some feathers, but that collar is too much for me…lol. I like pretty much everything else though. Keep doing your thang mama. Represent VA!;)

  22. This is what i am talking this is one beautiful curvy sister who knows how to dress for her body. she looks classy and glamourous. everything about her screams real beauty and class. Finally a true curvy fashionista. hands down for this hot mama. Well done claire for choosing a good rep for all the curvy girls out there. i am a size 2 but so inspired by this lady, that white jumpsuite and red dress wow.i want one too. i am so impressed. kudos.

  23. I like all except the white look… The looseness isn’t flattering and only makes her look larger and the red dress with the feathered what ever the hell u call it makes her look like a big ass bird. Other than that, cute. The ruffles on the side of the blk dress was a nice touch to make her look smaller

  24. I really wish that people would stop equating “curvy” with plus size.

Now some curves are laid out more nicely than others. Halle Berry is Curvy, Beyonce is Curvy, Tocara is Curvy..the model that just passed away Mia, is CURVY.

Fatrolls and curves are not the same thing, so just stop it.

  25. @cupcake, AMEN! I was coming on here to say just that. Dear plus sized/big/fat women, please stop missusing the word “curvy.” As a regular sized curvy girl I would like to reclaim the word curvy.

  26. some of her looks are misses, that white jumpsuit is a definite hit. that boa… should be taken out back and buried. i love her confidence though, she’s working that beautifully!

  27. There were some cute looks, but several of them were over accesorized, giving it a more cluttered feel unfortunately.
