We’re going to the DMV today with Fashion Bombshell Ashleigh from Maryland:

She says, “My style is eclectic…”

“… and a little on the adventurous side.”

” I like to try out new things,”

“.. and pair together unlikely items.”

” If a fashion choice makes me a little nervous…”

” then I go for it!”

Hey Ashleigh! You’re absolutely lovely. You have great style and a cute command of color. No misses here, you hit it out of the park!
What do you think?

  1. The banana yellow from head to toe is a miss for me. How about some grape shoes mami, next time. Overall she has a cute sense of style! she’s a cutie patootie to!!! Ya’ll know what a patootie is, coz I be using that word like its in vogue, and I could be calling somebody’s child the devil. Enlighten a sista.

  2. I think Ashleigh looks great!!! These are indeed unexpected pairings, and I don’t think just anyone could pull them off; Ashleigh seems so comfortable in her outfits – like they’re an extension of her, so they really work.

  3. The leopard outfit is a backwards cardi and skirt, not a dress :)

    Thanks for the comments –

  4. very cute, but kinda looks like you are playing dress up. Let me be clear you go to school like that?? wow that i WAY over dressed for classs, I got to work like that and I work in fashion, but to class? even if your major is fashion, I guess I’m just a bit taken back by so many young girls trying to dress like ciara, lala, and the kardashian’s. But I won’t take away from you, you do look cute.

  5. I love all the looks except for one where it looks like she paired jogging pants with a sequined jacket. She is on point though and her mind looks like it leans towards being a stylist.

  6. cute, but where i live in nyc, everyone dresses like this, so its not that different or eclectic, but cute. I like the sweat pants with the kitten heels and red pants and pink top very cute, still not that diff.

  7. im sure shes a nice girl but i really cant get with the style. the grey sweatpants and bank deposit bag, the leopard emsemble, and head to toe yellows are all misses. i almost like the pink and red with the chain and the leather pants with the stripe are hot i must say. i gave her a ‘not good not bad’

  8. Cmonnnnnn…..ya’ll know she’s the best we’ve seen in a hot minute. The knit pants and blazer worked for me,and honestly i think I would’ve liked the leopard if not paired with that waist belt.Minor tweaks but overall the best female I’ve seen since the lawyer chick from miami and that was weeks ago..Sad though cuz she’s cute she’s gonna be ripped apart on here as opposed to someone less aesthetically attractive with the same style.I could care less if she smiles I’m entirely thankful to see someone with some actual style on here.

  9. I thought her style was very nice. Each outfit came together. From casual to a bit more dressy. The all yellow was very daring but pulled off well. I loved all the outfits.

  10. Omg!!! Why all the negative “I live in NY I see this all the time” blah blah blah! She’s hot and the colors work w. Her skin tone…. The belt is the only item I disagree w. But go on Ashleigh

  11. Apparently she doesn’t know what eclectic means. I’ve seen all of these styles or fashion choices before. Most are misses for me. And I am in the Midwest so it’s not in just NY. Good effort

  12. I didn’t get eclectic at all, much more classic. Great style though. I love anyone who loves Suede pumps!

  13. Not good, but not bad. I wouldn’t describe her style as eclectic at all. She should genuinely smile in her photos. It would make a world of a difference.

  14. Awesome, she looks great in every outfit.

@ Ola do you and your fellow broads even know what eclectic means?Like most fashionistas, her style is eclectic, meaning it is influenced by many things.

    ec·lec·tic/iˈklektik/
    Adjective:
Deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.

  15. I like her style and her blog. I do think there were some looks on her blog that would have been better for submission. Overall I like her. Bombshell!!!

  16. I like her style! I love those two toned beige and black Zara shoes and the leather leggings. Cute!

  17. Not bad! I like the all yellow (maybe a different should would’ve upgraded the look) and the pink and red looks.

  18. This girl…thank you!!! Best we’ve seen in a minute. She has a great command of color, knows how to dress her body and takes risk (not everyone can pull off pairing sweats with a dressy top or head to toe yellow. Hands down a fashion bombshell.

  19. she goes to alot of dc events and she looks better at those events. these looks look like she is trying to be stylish and not that comfortable with it yet. she has a cute figure though and good base but it just seems like she is trying too hard. her sister makes those clutches for her and they are very cute. im not impressed though, i have seen way better dc bloggers.

  20. @yinka, wouldn’t one’s style that is eclectic actually reflect that it is made up of different sources?
Nothing in her looks seem as if she has pulled from different influences.
Her style seems like a typical novice in the world of fashion bloggers.

  21. i actually just don’t thinks she looks comfortable with her looks. it just doesn’t seem genuine. kinda mechanical and like she is trying too hard. idk it doesn’t seem effortless.

  22. This upsets me other blog readers on vogue etc.. Dont go this hard on some1 why must us as black people be so negative smh we have 2 do better

  23. In DC we dress up everywhere we go… she is not overdressed at all. That black and yellow scarf is sooooo DC lol :-)

  24. With the yellow outfit, I think it would look better if her shoes were a different colour. But I like the shoes with the leather pants outfit, which is my favorite of all her shots.

  25. @ Melissa, you can clearly read the envy in their comments.. It’s one thing to say you don’t like a style, but to sit and nit pick, and be catty is another thing. You can tell when a female can dress, you get catty comments.. There were BS that weren’t that good, but the comments didn’t come off as catty like some of these do. I see a pattern. Females are a trip. LOL! She is a bombshell!

  26. women bitching about nothing like they are Joan Rivers on fashion police. At the end of the day style is personal. I need everybody on this thread to send in their own style pics nonsense.

  27. I LOVE ALL HER LOOKS!! GO HEAD BOMB!! I would most def follow some of her styles as a matter of fact need info on several pieces..lol….. It should be in BOLD writing somewhere under these fashionboms to say if you must say something negative dont comment at all!! What a bunch of Loser..lol. GEEEESSSHHH! give these people a break for wanting to express their own style….they arent sending in pictures saying this is what you have to wear they are saying “that is what they wear and if you like it get some ideas from it” ….BIG UPS TO EVERY WOMAN THAT HAS BEEN FEATURED IN THE FASHIONBOMB FOR THEIR CONFIDENCE AND PERSONAL STYLE!!!

  28. I like everything! Except the red and pink. I never been a fan of red and pink together. It just reminds me of valentines day.

  29. Ehhhhh. Cant say that I agree with most of it. the color block and the yellow were cute though!

  30. I think she’s adorable. I would love to see her do something different with her hair, and I though I like the shape of the sweat pants with that outfit, I don’t like the actual sweat pants. Everything else I’m digging…except for the hair (I know I said that but she’s too cute for the lifeless wrap…).

  31. Love her! First bombshell I’ve actually cared for in days. I adore the sweat pant paired w/the sequin blazer and the color block outfit & neon dress gave me LIFE! Great job mama!

  32. Hmm, she’s rocking pencil skirt, leather leggings, color blocked outfits and leopard prints – all pieces that I love myself and that are very of-the-moment. I’m sitting here wondering why I am not feeling it, though? I think someone said it earlier- she does not give off a sense of effortless. She has some cute looks (esp. on her blog) but she is not owning them and actually looks like she is playing fashion blogger. Maybe her discomfort is less with the clothes and moreso with being in front of the camera. I mean, she is not smiling in or owning any of her pictures. I know she’s a blogger not a model but I think the key to looking fly and fashionable is owning what you are working with (your whole package, not just your clothes). Cute girl, though.

  33. I love the different leopard prints in the first photo. I may steal that idea. Great style overall

  34. The Chartreuse outfit works for me, plus its on of my favorite colors! Monochromatic looks can be really hard to pull of, but I think she did a good job.

  35. There’s a look in the DMV I like to call “thrown together.” I went to college there, and it always seemed like their style consisted of putting on a bunch of items that don’t quite belong in one outfit, but somehow making it work together. Its not my cup of tea, but when it works it works. She has some hits & misses for me.

  36. My only concern is why her hair and makeup never seems to be a concern. Her looks are cute, standard FB submission.

  37. I really liked a couple of those outfits. I love the red/pink color, very nice and colorful. I also liked that cream sweater. It is really pretty and chic.

  38. Yo haters need to start getting flagged. This girl has style and is Fashion Bombshell worthy. That is all.

  39. 70-somethimg comments means ur doing somethimg right….DROPS MIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

  40. The sweats w| shiny jacket was my favorite look, the limegreen head to toe was def my least favorite. cute overall

  41. Ashleigh is def fly, fresh and fashionable! She has the cutest figure and she does own her looks in person. No, she isnt a model so its hard to translate that when pictured but YES she can style the ish outta some clothes and uses prints and colors beautifully. DC Fashion :)
