  1. Sis the problem is you aren’t dressing for your body type. You need clothes that will give an illusion that you have a waste. I understanding wanting to be on trend, but it is more important that your clothes compliment your physique doll. The crops top.. Oh mama.. “HEAD SHAKE”I challenge you. Stay off sugar, simple carbs like rice, potatoes, breads and pasta for 6 weeks. Drink eight glasses of water a day. You will have an improvement in every outfit. Even the shirt with the back opening. I promise sis. This is not shade, but it is mind boggling how people think they look good. It’s like don’t you have someone to tell you the truth??

  2. Ok this must be one of y’all friends and y’all just doing a favor. I have no other way to explain how she would be called a bombshell. This is as basic as it gets. Literally a t-shirt and jeans in some pics. Y’all trippin’!

  3. I personally Think she look amazing you guys hit it right on the nose this time no need for all the hate comments. “she did that”!!!!!

  4. @thefashionistachic is really a jack of all trades master of none type of blogger who uses this blog to try to “get on” so excuse her. She could also use some of your advice on tact and class…

Great hair and lipsticks. Fit could be better, foundations garments would smooth you out, and maybe a few more sophisticated pieces to you wardrobe.

The line btwn critquing and bashing is becoming very blurr on FBD.

  5. I think she can work on the fit of her clothes and defining her waist. She has a great foundation. She’s not terrible at all. I a lot of the pieces as individual entities.

  6. Why the hell are all of her clothes so tight??? She looks like she’s been stuffed into them. Very unflattering. Tip: in order to dress “classy” as she says, she might think about clothing that is fitted (i.e. tailored)and not skin tight.

  7. Death to the pearl necklace first of all and death to the midi shirt! Everyone can not wear this trend ladies!!! And last but not least it’s called wear the correct under garments and shape wear, there is an obvious fit issue.

  8. I just had to say it again I really am tired of seeing this pearl choker on everybody and there mother. For real……….

  9. I liked her. Even though she couldve used a bodyshaper underneath an oufir or two, I still she was a bs.

  10. I feel like the people that say horrible things are just living thru text hints why they arent up there, the clothes are fitted and she is a very pretty girl. You people don’t know what you like if a person is skinny you have something to say if the person is thick you have something to say smfh. Like your Mother always said if you have nothing nice to say then dont say it at all. Choice well made FBD and i usally dont always agree.

  11. IMHO I think the pointers that @thefashionistachic gave were good tips.

@thefashionistachic: being a blogging professional you could have left off the shade that you threw and the fact that you were not throwing shade when in fact you were! UNPROFESSIONAL.

I truly wish would could get to the place where we could critic with out all the nasty comment and bitterness. I would love to send in my pictures just for fashion advice on how I could wear it better but females have diarrhea of the mouth.

Claire – What about a section of woman who would like to improve their fashion and send in pictures for advice on how to improve their fashion game? or will they be torn apart by the lions!!!!!

  12. I like the first and second looks. But overall, her style lacks originality. And I agree that she should dress for her body shape and not try to force looks meant for women shaped very differently.

  13. *sigh* She looks stuffed in her too tight clothes and nothing is fashion forward but more IG trendy. FBD needs to rename this section “Submissions” because that’s all that most of it boils down to. There are plenty of people out there who are regular people that have style and again, y’all showcase someone who is just “regular”.

  14. I think Simone is beautiful and her style is super cute. She looks well put together and comfortable. Her colors and makeup coordinate very well and she does not overly accessorize (I’m a fan of minimalism). I also think some of the commentators here are vultures. Maybe I’m missing something but I do not think Simone needs a body shaper at all. I’ve seen the comment about diet a couple of times and I have to say that it is completely offensive and disgusting. I like @Cherie’s idea of a feature that allows people to submit pictures and ask for advice. I also challenge the commentators who ALWAYS have something negative to say put up a few picture of themselves along with their comment.

  15. LOL! Thank you Brandon! I was getting cross-eyed reading some of these comments. You left out ‘their vs. there.’

  16. Women regardless of size we must invest in bodyshapers and fitted bras. I made Fashion bomb of the day on Tuesday. Regardless of how you feel on what I’m wearing, I know my body and I always look appropriate and wear the appropriate undergarments and bras, but I do love that paint stroke blouse though.

  17. The crop tops and muffin tops are killing me. Classy would be to cover your tummy. Find bottoms that aren’t so tight on your mid section.

  18. Love all the looks! Thanks for showing us how being curved in all the right places translates to being fashion forward.

I’m a tomboy at heart so my favorite look is the leather jacket with the dunks. You did that!!!

Now as a person with a soul (because apparently everyone doesn’t have one) I beg of you to ignore those that use the Internet as place to spew hatred clearly stemmed from jealousy and low self esteem. You’re beautiful hun!

  19. I feel that comments should be closed for bombshell posts. The votes speak for themselves, and the comments being made aren’t constructive. The comments are offensive and childish. There is no need to hurt someones feelings. If you don’t like the outfits just vote and keep it moving. If you don’t have anything good to say than don’t say anything at all.

  20. Questions for Claire: Is the purpose of bombshell of the day to give constructive criticism or to vote only? Is the purpose to be nice even though some outfits by some submitters fit poorly, look cheaply made, and aren’t flattering? What is the goal? Do you edit submissions before posting them? All of the submitters are beautiful but not all of them are stylish. Fashion evolves and is subject to careful scrutiny and opinion, bombshell or not. Correct? What’s the goal here?

  21. No VISION KILLERS WHERE ARE THE POSITIVE COMMENTS SMH SAD WOMEN ARE SUPPOSE TO SUPPORTED ONE ANOTHER SHIT WE ALL HAVE FLAWS BUT SIMONE CONGRATS GUESS IT AINT RIGHT IF SOMEBODY NOT HATIN EXPRESS YA SELF IN A POSITIVE LIGHT LIKE YOU BEEN DOING PRAY FOR THE NEGATIVEMINDED PEOPLE

  22. @claire thanks for the feature!!!! Some people can be very mean but I am still super excited to be featured and I am comfortable in my skin! And I’m sure MOST of the people saying negative things wouldn’t post a pic of themselves!!! Women should uplift other women. Only insecure chicks tear each other down!!!

  23. Wow why so much hate out there? A little kindness goes a long way, beacues you don’t like her style or choice of outfits does not mean you have to beat up on her. Remember these are real people with real feelings…and yes words do hurt. We don’t know the state of mind a person might be in, your cruel and hateful remarks just could be the straw that broke the camels’ back. Remember, you could be the one on the other side of those key strokes one day. Smh in disgust…

  24. The problem is everything is too little. Please dress for your body. Also understand that you can be sexy without everything being super tight. Your clothes actually show your fat more instead of flattering your body.

  25. I think Simone looks GREAT in person and on the pics. Beauty goes both ways INSIDE & OUT. I’ve seen her in person and I think she always looks well put together. Those who think she “needs” a body shaper…. I’m almost sure they aren’t size zeros and high paid runway models so why be nasty!
Simone! You did your thang girl. From one beautiful girl to another don’t let the hate bring you down!

  26. She is gorgeous and I love her hair. While an outfit or two had fit issues, she has great everyday style.
    @Brandon- I cosign your comment
And I agree there is no need to be nasty.
Finally, a year or so ago the mean blogger posted something nasty and a poster to went her website and pointed out all her busted pictures and looks and she was dragged up and down about what a hot mess she is. Her site now has very pics of her and none are fashion pictures. Sometimes I think people are so unhappy in their own lives that they only feel good when they are putting someone else down.

  27. I have to agree that some of her outfits were ill fitting, especially around the midsection. Sometimes we haven’t come to terms with the extra 20 or 30 pounds we gained over the years. She has a cute sense of style, but a bulgy midsection takes away from being a fashion bomb.

  28. We all have different shapes. For someone to tell another person that their shape is wrong as if it is something that can be fixed. And what is this dress your shape bull? If you like something, wear it I say! Team Curves!

  29. You ladies are evil and vicious. Have you ever heard of constructive criticism? Even if there’s something that you didn’t like, I’m sure there’s something that you did, but you would never comment on that. Why, because you’re haters! I challenge you all to come from behind those keyboards and let’s see what you’re working with. I’m sure most of you couldn’t hold a candle to her…HATERS!!!

  30. There’s nothing wrong with dressing for your body type and wearing clothes that are appropriately sized. Just because you can get into a size 6 doesn’t make you a size 6. Albeit a nice foundation, it would do her some justice to size up in just about every picture. Nice pieces though.

  31. She throws the word “classy” around but from what I see her outfits look cheap (the fabric and fit betrays them) and the fit is very unbecoming. She seems a fan of the high-waisted, crop top look; but that look seems to highlight her seven guts.

Its not classy at all. Obviously cheap shoes, a bad dye job and clothes that make her look like the fat girl on the block.

    bad.

  32. sidenote: its always the girls with least class who constantly declare themselves classy. Its not a good look.

  33. most def. love all her looks ! She is a unique bombshell and her style is a lot like mine, love it.

  34. I think if she went up a dress size everything would fit better. She’s really pretty and I think her style would improve if she just stop wearing everything so tight. I see people coming here defending her, but all she has to do is wear a larger size.

  35. She has nice pieces but needs to take a break on them crop tops whilst working on burning belly fat,it’s possible with dertermination to get a flat belly, she’s a pretty woman and has taste on clothes but needs to understand her body first.i would have loved to see her in midi skirts or skater skirts and dresses.women of her physique look lady-like on skater dresses and skirts….i like pic 2-5

  36. @Cherie I love your idea it would be cool. And I applaud anyone brave enough to submit their pictures. I wish we could say things in a better way. A few times, I’ve been a negative Nancy but, I’m growing and apologize for any offensive things I may have said.
