We’re continuing our Bomber/Bombshell blitz with Uche from Texas:

He says, “My style is one word, Uche. Its sexy, its intriguing, its comfortable, and most importantly its Uche. Uche is Nigerian for sexy…. lol JK. But seriously, the most important thing about style I’ve come to find is being able to evolve.”

” The way I dress now is certainly not the way I dressed last year, and it probably wont be the way I’ll dress next year. You have to constantly revamp your self as you get older and come in contact with different situations and experiences.”

” As a model/actor/designer/musician/writer/OVERALL JUST A DAMN ARTIST studying to be a doctor, I’ve got quite a wide range of perspectives.”

“In all that I do, I try my very best to look like a gentleman. My style is overall reflective of my Nigerian and American upbringing. My life is filled with rich imagery, contemporary diction, and traditional aesthetic; my style reflects that.”

“I completely understand the need for men to select loud vibrant colors in their desire to be different and unique, but I don’t think its about the colors and how tight the jeans you wear that really make you stand out; rather, what matters the most is your confidence and your swagger.”

“Swagger has no language; I can wear a style in China or in Belgium, and still look good with ease.”

“No matter what you have on, a stranger should be able to say “wow, that person looks good, not because your colors are loud and attention grabbing, BUT because of the simple fact that to that stranger, you present yourself well, and you carry yourself confidently. I am a firm believer in “men dressing like men”. And as such, I employ what I like to think of as the GQ (Gentlemen Quarterly) principle; Ties, blazers, vests, cardigans, fitted suits, form fitting trousers, fedora hats, Ray ban sunglasses, Ray ban nerd glasses(i’m blind without these, they are actually prescription glasses), Dark colored scarves, leather belts, Ralph Lauren boots, leather watches (Fossil), rosaries (I’m 100% catholic), colorful socks, v necks, polo shirts, boating shoes (Sperry topsiders), and a host of other things.”

“I am an upcoming clothing designer, based in the U.S, BUT I am in school to be a medical doctor. By God’s endless grace, my future clothing projects in fashion will grab the attention of fashion lovers all over, and not one specific region.”

My favorite designer is Ralph Lauren, and every outfit you see me in, probably has one article of Ralph Lauren. I like colors that are conservative, like blue, red, and brown, BUT don’t be too surprised if you see me in a pink shirt or some orange shorts; I like to keep things fresh.”

I am an art lover, vintage collector, fashion connoisseur, manly man with a heightened sense of style, and I strongly believe all of this is projected by just a mere glance at my style.”

“The best accessory any man can have is a beautiful woman/queen on his side. I’m still trying to find that.”

Well, alright Uche! I’m sure you’ll find many candidates in the comments section. Your impeccable style and verbose style description speak for themselves.

  1. I appreciate he actually wrote a well-thought-out entry. Most people just use buzz words. I can’t stand the pulled up dress socks, but I loved his hair.

  2. He looks great. Loved the terms he used in describing his style and definitely appreciate his looks. I’m not a fan of the super high dress socks but I think that’s what makes fashion fun. Go Uche!

  3. sexy, really….? it doesn’t require that the person roll out shirtless with a jacket on…the best thing about being sexy is when you don’t try to be sexy and others see it and say wow. ps ok style, seen this style on GQ and jakandjil. nothing spectacular. NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. The best Bomber (HANDS DOWN) I’ve seen on this site. Everything about him works. I love everything about his style…plus he is ascetically pleasing to look at…:)

  5. his style isnt bad at all. some of his items just look a little cheap. Forever 21 mens section cheap.

  6. Uche…smh. I do appreciate a manly man style, I agree it doesn’t have to be all about the color and the jewelry etc. But maybe a little bit more diversity in your clothes wouldn’t hurt. You sure do know how to express yourself…in a lot of words, but i guess that’s cool too. You are definitely handsome, but a word of advice, a woman is much more than an accessory to make you look good. You will definitely learn that in due time.
    Blessings

  7. Now why don’t the Nigerians that always come at me look like him…damn damn damn!!! LOL! But any who…he had some hits & a couple misses for me, I’m not to wild about “men men” wear shorts above the knees and with dress socks…but overall he has a fashionable style of his own, descent…

  8. First yumm. Second I like his style, eventhough all of his pix seemed to be from photo shoots, so I don’t really know if he styled himself. But if he did, very nice

  9. You can see more of me at ucheaguh.tumblr.com and feel free to follow me on twitter as well at @IamUchenna

    -Uche-

  10. I think he’s really fine to look at. nhe has style but it definitely isnt personal.
    quite mainstream really.

  11. As a Tejas native I must say he is a definitely a departure from what I am used to seeing. Great style! My only critique is all those slashes / / /. It’s becoming the norm I suppose…

  12. <3 i love seeing young black men with a sense of style.. makes you even more handsome!!

  13. Uche is not only a great dresser, but a wonderful human being. Intelligent and well spoken, this future doctor is going far with his design aspirations as well. He’s a friend and I’m not surprised at all he’s featured as a Fashion Bomber. I think his style has evolved and is only going to get better. I am a fan of his clean cut look, especially the brown bomber jacket and the light denim shirt and red shorts outfit. Keep up the good work!

  14. I don’t know you, but you’re an inspiration man! That Ralph Lauren outfit is really nice. Keep up the good work

  15. All i could think of while reading was “this sounds like a personal ad” and he ends it with everyone needs their queen…lol Nice looking man

  16. aww that is my brother’s name, he gets my vote :-) some interesting fashion. at least he’s not boring!

  17. I think your style is unique; it’s all about the way you put things together. You look great & it looks effortless rather than crafted. You’re well rounded and undefined by a single media. Absolute perfection.

  18. Def a Naija boy…100%. Interestingly, his style reminds me more of Maryland than Texas *shrugs*. Interesting pieces and no doubt he’s confident in ALL his abilities/talents. His entry became exhausting to read but it I’m always interested in how people perceive their selves.

His style is interesting and at times obnoxious to me (a vest without a shirt…..come on son!) but overall clean which I believe is what he strives for. Cheers!-nice entry my fellow Naija.

  19. I don’t find him as intriguing as the guy from the Hague but he’s good-looking and well dressed. Typical GQ guy. That works.

  20. This reminds me of a facebook post that I saw last week: Igbo guys (photo) stay doing the most.

Lol, but no I do think he has great style. I’m not a fan of walking around with your chest out unless you’ve just finished running but overall, he looks good :)

  21. I much preferred the gentleman from the Hague. The pulled up socks on this one killed the looks.

His style is alright. I was actually turned off when reading his description. It was far too verbose and dripping with arrogance- but that is just my interpretation.

  22. I must say, though, that I disagree with him on one thing: the best thing a man can have is the sense enough to know that women ARE NOT accessories.

  23. Ummmm he talked A WHOLE LOT. And a woman is NOT an accessory, she’s your partner and your best friend. But with that said, HE IS FINE THOUGH… and when he’s not half naked, his style is great ;D
