The late André Leon Talley, one of fashion’s most influential voices, is being honored through a breathtaking new exhibition titled “André Leon Talley: Style Is Forever.” The exhibit, now open at the SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film in Atlanta from October 15 to March 1, and at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah until January 11, celebrates the life, vision, and unmistakable style of the legendary editor, curator, and tastemaker.
A towering figure in fashion history, Talley broke barriers as one of the first Black editors to hold a senior position at Vogue, shaping decades of global fashion discourse with his commanding presence and encyclopedic knowledge of style. The exhibition pays homage to his legacy through an intimate and detailed display of garments, imagery, and personal artifacts that chronicle his remarkable career.
Each mannequin featured in the installation was meticulously crafted in Talley’s likeness, reflecting his signature elegance and larger-than-life persona. This attention to detail underscores his belief that fashion is not just about clothes — it’s about identity, power, and storytelling. Visitors are invited to experience the world through his eyes, from his early days in the South to his rise as one of the most respected figures in fashion journalism.
“André Leon Talley: Style Is Forever” stands as both a tribute and a reminder of Talley’s enduring impact on culture and style. Through this exhibition, SCAD ensures that his spirit — one defined by sophistication, intellect, and unapologetic grandeur — continues to inspire generations to come.
Doja Cat has solidified her status as a Fashion Icon in her latest look by Quine Li that was progressive, avant-garde, and an absolute stand-out moment.
During her appearance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, the “Paint the Town Red” rapper actually painted the town white in a lace maxi number that was characterized with a structural and oversized “V” neckline.
Quine Li is a New York based fashion line that was founded by a Chinese-born designer named Kuai Li. Known for her sculptural, and geometric, forms, her designs often use geometry and strong sculptural structure. Rather than just creating fabulous clothes, think of her garments as pieces of art.
Doja who’s known for stepping out in unusual and eclectic silhouettes, owned this theatrical ensemble from head to toe. From her lime green curled updo, and turquoise jewel statement earrings down to her silver sparkly platform heels, one thing for certain is that Doja isn’t afraid to push the envelope.
For my last day in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, I grabbed a pick with the Eiffel Tower wearing a dress by black female owned brand, Mahogani Collections.
The textured black floral dress felt sculptural yet romantic, the perfect balance of strength and femininity as I posed against one of the most iconic backdrops in the world.
Mahogani Collections was founded by mother–daughter duo Phyllis Mitchell and Christine Eades, who began their journey in Detroit creating handmade jewelry before expanding into fashion. Their pieces speak to legacy, artistry, and the generational power of Black women in design — a story I am proud to help tell on a global stage. From Michigan Fashion Week to The Bomb Fashion Show, and now to Paris, their journey is a testament to vision and perseverance.
As I stood with the Eiffel Tower behind me, I felt deeply grateful — not just for the view, but for the opportunity to use my platform to spotlight emerging designers who deserve to be seen. Fashion is more than clothes; it’s culture, connection, and community. And when one of us rises, we all do. ✨
Jennifer Lopez looked phenomenal at the “ Kiss of the Spider Woman” musical premiere in New York City on Monday in a green and brown Harris Reed gown that couldn’t have been more fitting, and on theme. Celebrity Stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn clearly understood the assignment.
Some of you may have thought you’d never see Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck on a red carpet together again after they finalized their divorce back in January of this year, but the universe had other plans.
Affleck, who serves as an Executive Producer on the film embraced Jennifer on the red carpet with his hand wrapped around her waist. Based off their body language, we’d say that despite the breakups and divorce, there’s still some chemistry there.
Jlo’s twins Maximilian and Emme were also in attendance to support their mom who stars in the film as the leading actress Ingrid Luna. Both Max and Emme complimented each other, donning wine colored hues that perhaps showed unity. We’re sure it’s probably a “twin thing.”
JLO who is known for her extraordinary acting skills, is bound to leave us glued to our screens when the film debuts on Oct. 10th. We thought she looked absolutely incredible for the evening, and she exuded professionalism and class which we applaud her for.
The Queen looked phenomenal in a sultry black dress by Christian Siriano, that she styled with a FGM Bespoke Ostrich Stroller coat to Jay-Z’s grandmother 100th birthday celebration.
Available at our Fashion Bomb daily Shop, Bey’s fabulous coat by the ‘Furry God Mother‘ herself Tiara Peach, added a luxurious component to her exquisite ensemble. Styled by Ty Hunter, Beyonce looked snatched in her strapless velvet dress that had a built in corset that accentuated her waist. Her gold clutch and velvet embellished gloves, exuded class and prestige.
Jay-Z and Beyonce were captured locking lips a one point during the evening, and Jay looked sharp in a black velvet tuxedo for his Grandmother Hattie White’s 100th birthday. Talk about an incredible and fashionable coordination.
The duo partied it up alongside Megan Thee Stallion, Klay Thompson, Nas, and the legendary Stevie Wonder who performed. Of course Beyonce turned the moment into an impromptu photoshoot, giving us drama, and high-fashion glamour.

The air at the Musée Rodin was electric with a new kind of energy for Dior’s SS26 presentation. Under the watchful eyes of a stellar front row—including the inimitable Anya Taylor-Joy, the effortlessly cool Jenna Ortega, and a magnetic Willow Smith, with even the legendary Johnny Depp and Rick Owens making a surprise appearance—Creative Director John Nathan unveiled a collection that felt both globally minded and intimately chic. The presence of LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault signaled the house’s full support for Nathan’s evolving vision, one that confidently stepped out of the archive and into a sun-drenched, cosmopolitan future.

The collection was a masterclass in sophisticated ease and chromatic balance. Nathan explored a dynamic dialogue between stark black and white, using them as a canvas to burst sunny yellow or serene sky blue. This play of color felt fresh and optimistic. The silhouettes were just as varied, moving from impeccably tailored ready-to-wear and classic evening gowns to, fun & youthful denim skirts. The narrative was punctuated by sculptural addition of asymmetric hats.

With this collection, John Nathan showcased his impressive range and a confident direction for the house of Dior. He demonstrated a unique ability to speak to multiple generations without losing sophistication. By blending artful touches with wearable desire, he has charted a course for a Dior that is grounded in heritage yet soaring towards a vibrant, international horizon.

A source backstage, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed to Vogue that the collection was conceived as a “modern grand tour,” aiming to dress a woman with a global passport and a sophisticated eye.
Janet Jackson and Paris Jackson reunited in style at Tom Ford’s latest presentation during Paris Fashion Week, sharing a sweet moment that had cameras flashing nonstop.
Janet exuded sophistication in an all-black leather ensemble featuring a structured belted top paired with a floor-length satin skirt that flowed effortlessly as she walked. She completed the sleek look with pointed black pumps, gold hoop earrings, and a braided updo that highlighted her signature glam.
By her side, Paris Jackson brought edge and allure in a daring asymmetrical black gown with a sky-high slit, long sleeves, and a fluid silhouette that embodied Tom Ford’s modern sensuality. She paired the look with ankle-tied stilettos and tousled blonde waves, creating a striking contrast next to her legendary aunt.
Together, the two Jacksons proved that style—and star power—runs deep in the family.
In the high-stakes chess game of global luxury, Kering SA has made a decisive move. The full acquisition of Valentino for $1.85 billion is a direct strategic offensive to build a stronger challenger to LVMH’s dominant portfolio. By placing Valentino squarely under its control, Kering gains a crucial pillar to diversify beyond its flagship Gucci and mount a more credible threat to LVMH’s cash-generating stars like Dior and Celine.
This transaction is about more than just adding a brand; it’s about acquiring a platform for growth that can be supercharged with Kering’s resources. The group’s strategy is clear: pair Valentino’s storied heritage with its own expertise in supply chain, marketing, and retail distribution to create a more formidable competitor.

The first and most critical step in this plan was the installation of creative director Alessandro Michele who can define a commercially viable aesthetic to compete for the same high-net-worth customers like he did for years at Gucci.
When we talk about fashion, most of the spotlight lands on statement jackets, bold sneakers, or the latest luxury bags. But the truth is, great style starts long before anyone sees your outfit. Before you step into tailored trousers, a silk shirt, or your favorite sneakers, the very first layer you put on determines how everything else will look and feel. Yes, even Men’s Underwear has the power to make or break the fit of your entire ensemble.
These unseen essentials, from underwear and undershirts to shapewear and performance layers, act as the unsung heroes of fashion. They’re the invisible framework that gives your outerwear the right drape, keeps you comfortable all day, and ensures your look is as polished at 8 p.m. as it was at 8 a.m.
The Foundation Effect
Think of foundation pieces as the architecture of an outfit. Just as a skyscraper relies on hidden structural supports, your clothing depends on what lies underneath.
When the base layer is wrong, ill-fitting underwear, bulky socks, sagging undershirts, it distorts the entire silhouette. A sharp blazer can look sloppy if the undershirt bunches. Slim trousers can suddenly appear unflattering if the underwear underneath doesn’t sit right. On the other hand, a seamless, well-constructed foundation creates clean lines and a fit that looks intentional.
Underwear: The Silent Style Shaper
Underwear is often overlooked, but it’s the most intimate connection between fabric and skin. High-quality underwear doesn’t just provide support, it helps clothing sit properly.
Cut matters: Boxers, briefs, or trunks all create different profiles under clothing. Trunks, for example, reduce lines and ride-up beneath slim-fit pants.
Fabric counts: Breathable cotton, modal blends, or performance fabrics wick away moisture, prevent bunching, and feel luxurious against the skin.
Fit is everything: The right size avoids sagging or pinching, keeping the outer garments smooth and flattering.
Stylists know: the wrong underwear can ruin an outfit before you even leave the house.
Undershirts and Base Layers: More Than Just Comfort
Undershirts often get a bad reputation as old-fashioned, but they remain an essential foundation piece, especially in transitional seasons.
A lightweight undershirt can:
Absorb sweat, protecting dress shirts and extending their life.
Prevent visible chest outlines through thin fabrics.
Smooth the torso, creating a cleaner look beneath knits or blazers.
Modern base layers go beyond plain cotton tanks. Today’s versions include slim-cut tees, compression fits, and even cooling or warming fabrics engineered for all-day comfort.
Shapewear and Contour Garments: Not Just for Women
The conversation around shapewear has long been dominated by women’s fashion, but men are discovering the benefits too. Subtle compression undershirts can create a sleeker line beneath fitted clothing, while contour shorts provide additional support without compromising comfort.
Far from being about vanity, these foundation pieces allow men to wear tailored styles with more confidence. In a world where precision fits dominate the runway and street style, the role of shapewear is becoming quietly indispensable.
Socks: The Overlooked Detail
Image from Unsplash
Socks may seem like an afterthought, but they are critical to both comfort and style. A pair of poorly chosen socks can make premium shoes unbearable or disrupt an outfit’s color flow.
Thickness matters: Too thick, and shoes feel tight. Too thin, and they slip.
Fabric choice:Merino wool keeps feet warm yet breathable; cotton blends are perfect for everyday wear; technical fabrics manage sweat in active settings.
Design statement: Patterned socks peek out as a subtle way to inject personality without overwhelming a look.
They’re one of the smallest foundation elements but carry an outsized influence.
Seasonal Foundations: Adapting to the Weather
Foundation pieces aren’t static; they adapt with the seasons.
Summer: Lightweight underwear, moisture-wicking undershirts, and no-show socks keep outfits breathable and clean.
Winter: Thermal base layers, thicker socks, and compression undershirts add warmth without bulk, allowing coats and blazers to maintain their shape.
Transitional weather: Layering becomes an art, where the right foundation pieces keep you ready for fluctuating temperatures without compromising style.
Adapting your base layers seasonally ensures your look remains sharp year-round.
The Confidence Factor
The most overlooked benefit of proper foundation pieces? Confidence.
When you know your clothing sits right, doesn’t crease, and feels comfortable, you move differently. You stand taller, walk smoother, and carry yourself with ease. The psychological impact is as important as the physical, invisible layers set the tone for how you experience your style throughout the day.
The Future of Foundations
Innovation in fashion isn’t just happening on runways, it’s happening beneath the surface. Brands are investing in smarter fabrics that regulate temperature, resist odor, and even integrate antimicrobial properties.
As sustainability takes center stage, foundation pieces are also evolving with eco-friendly fabrics, recycled fibers, and production methods that balance comfort, style, and responsibility. These shifts prove that even the most “basic” garments are part of fashion’s forward march.
The next time you admire a flawless outfit on the street or a red carpet look that seems effortless, remember: what’s underneath often deserves as much credit as what’s on display. From underwear and undershirts to socks and shapewear, foundation pieces are the quiet champions of style.
After all, true fashion isn’t just about what the world sees, it’s about the secrets hidden beneath.
