Award-winning artist Mary J. Blige, who is known for her cutting edge boots has officially collaborated with Giuseppe Zanotti to debut ‘The Mary Boot’ following her Strength of a Woman Festival & Summit this past weekend.

The slouchy rose gold over-the-knee boot which retails for $1,300, were released on Monday, May 13th and are already sold-out. Although the boot’s came with a hefty price-tag, fans have been anticipating ‘The Mary Boot’ for quite some time, so it’s not a surprise that her boots are already out of stock.

Made from reflective rose-gold synthetic fabric, with a heel height of 105 mm, and leather sole that features the brand’s logo, the boots were made in Italy.

While performing at her SOW concert at the Barclay’s center, the ‘Real Love’ singer did her signature two-step on stage in the bronzy gold boots.

Opting for a denim on denim deconstructed look that was characterized with gold hardware, her boots were a standout sensation.

Giuseppe Zanotti, which was founded in 1994 has proven to be a leading Italian luxury footwear brand among celebrities and fashionista’s alike.

Celebrities who have endorsed Giuseppe Zanotti include Tracee Ellis Ross, Tiffany Haddish, Issa Rae, Taylor Swift and many more.

This partnership makes total sense for Mary J. Blige who prides herself on being fashionable and spotted in some of the most lavish labels.

Despite the boots being sold out, Giuseppe Zanotti released a statement on Instagram that stated, “to keep an eye out for an update soon…” so perhaps there will be a restock in the near future.

Congratulations to Mary J. Blige on fulfilling her word, and promising her fans with ‘The Mary Boot.’ We’re so happy to see her vision come to life in the most avant-garde way, and we can’t wait to see what designs she comes up with next!

The Queen of New York City, Mary J Blige hosted her third annual Strength of a Woman festival & summit presented by Pepsi during Mother’s Day weekend and what an unforgettable experience at The Glasshouse in Manhattan!

The 3-day fest consisted of star-studded panels, performances at Brooklyn Barclay’s center and a gospel brunch. Mary J. Blige has become a source of empowerment through motivating discussions, and inspiring activations.

Of course Mary J. Blige arrived fashionably on time to her fest in a peach and green Balmain blazer and skirt set that was the perfect spring ensemble.

She joined the stage with media personality Angie Martinez who opted for an all black Kith outfit, Actress Tasha Smith who wore a nude Cinq a Sept two-piece look, and the multitalented Taraji P. Henson who slayed the scene in a white Monot suit.

In addition, our Fashion Bomb CEO, Claire Sulmers also had the pleasure of being a panelist alongside other trailblazers in the industry like Bevy Smith, Tahira Joy, and Kim Kimble.

Rocking a cream asymmetrical Rick Owens dress, with a Naked Wardrobe Snake trench, and Aminah Abdul Jillil heels, monochromatic never looked better.

The ladies discussed defining and creating your personal style, whether that be the adoption of different hairstyles or fashionable ensembles.

Strength of a woman for me was about supporting my sisters in style! I love talking about how to find your personal swag with some of the best in the business,” said Sulmers who originally founded Fashion Bomb Daily in 2006.

Following the panel discussions, Claire reunited with actress Taraji P. Henson on the rooftop, where they discussed their accomplishments, future endeavors, and gave each other their flowers. “I’m here for a reason, and that reason is to serve,” shared Henson.

The Strength of a Woman festival ultimately served as a catalyst for change within our communities. In order to create the change we would like to see in the world, it begins with us. The SOW summit gave attendees the tips and tools to accelerate and thrive in the pursuit of what set’s their soul on fire.

Claire’s Life: The 2024 Studio Museum in Harlem Spring Luncheon with Thelma Golden, Crystal McCrary, Vanessa Williams, and more!

Happy Wednesdays, Bombers and Bombshells!

It’s been almost a full week since I attended the Studio Museum in Harlem Spring 2024 Luncheon! The Bomb Life has been so busy that I simply haven’t had time to sit down and write, but better late than never!

Last week, I was delighted to be invited to the Studio Museum in Harlem Spring Luncheon for the 2nd time. Since its inception, the Museum’s Spring Luncheon has been a wonderful gathering of artists, business leaders, cultural luminaries, and philanthropists joined together in support of the Museum’s innovative art and education programs.

Me with Crystal McCrary and Thelma Golden, Director and Chief Curator of the Studio Museum in Harlem

While fabulous women gather to support the arts, the Luncheon is also known for its spring ready style. Despite the rain and somewhat frigid temperatures outside, attendees slipped on brightly hued frocks and suits, uplifted by candy colored bomb accessories.

I grabbed a pic with Vanessa Williams who was stunning in a purple suit.

Executive Jerri Devard had another one of my favorite looks from the luncheon! She was smashing in Christopher John Rogers and Stuart Weitzman sandals.

My homegirl Aisha McShaw was lovely in a suit of her design.

Stephanie Horton was a vision in Khaite.

These young ladies were adorable defined in Christopher John Rogers.

Crystal McCrary posed with Thelma Golden, Director and Chief Curator of the Studio Museum in Harlem, with Crystal in Aisha McShaw and Thelma in Dries van Noten.

My homegirls Aaliyah and Azhar kept in cute in Chanel and Hermes bags.

And these Bombshells were spot on with florals in the Spring!

For the occasion, I wore a custom tweed dress by Maison Tai, a Mumbai, India based brand. They specialize in couture creations using raw silk, but made something tweed just for me. I loved it!

It’s standard for luncheon guests to head downstairs to the bar area to continue networking. Take a look at a few snaps captured by Salvatore DeMaio:

It’s always a fun time, in support of an amazing cause.

Last night we were blown away by all the celebrities who made a sartorial entrance at the 2024 Met Gala, and with the dress code being “The Garden of Time,” we saw stars take calculated risks in some of the most avant-garde floral ensembles.

The theme of this year’s Costume Institute exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” which featured 250 iconic pieces from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection. Think Dior, Givenchy, Schiaparelli and so many more legendary designs- some of which date back to the 19th century.

J.G. Ballard’s 1962 “The Garden of Time” short story served as a literary inspiration for celebrities to showcase their best interpretation of Ballard’s story through rich, and vibrant botanical hues.

We saw a variety of luxurious and glamorous frocks that looked like flowering gardens. Vogue’s cover-girl for this month, and Host for this year’s Met Gala, Zendaya looked absolutely incredible and ethereal in a black vintage ’96 Givenchy gown. Her multicolored fresh floral headpiece was unconventional and offered a different spin.

Stars like Demi Moore and Mindy Kaling made statements in futuristic silhouettes, while rapper Cardi B served tulle galore in Windowsen, and Nicki Minaj stunned in a 3D Marni ensemble.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Takes on the Met Gala 2024: Beyonce, Rihanna, Kanye West, Katy Perry and More in Fictional Garden Inspired Looks

Missed seeing some of your favorite celebs at last night’s Met Gala?

Not to fret! Artificial Intelligence came to the rescue with realistic looks that adhered to the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”, “The Garden of Time” themed Gala. The looks were so bomb that they started trending on Instagram–to the point where people thought they were real.

Take a look:

Rihanna was noticeably absent, but Rick Dick came to the rescue in a floral adorned gown. While fabulous, for some reason I think Rihanna would have shown up in something a tad bit more wow worthy. What do you think?

Rick Dick strikes again with an architectural gown for Lady Gaga. Fabulous! But how would she actually carry this creation?

They Beyhive have their own AI master, who imagined their Queen in dark horse like Cowboy feathers and a crown of flowers. Which look is more your taste?

Katy Perry’s avatar stepped through in a two garden inspired gowns.

Seeing this image made me miss seeing Kanye at these shindigs.

And while Dua Lipa was there, Rick Dick made a new grass gown made for her, equipped with a maze for a skirt. Chic!

Which look was your favorite?

And should their be an AI gala? Also, given that people thought some of the images were real, what does that portend for the future of AI in fashion?

Doja Cat Creates a Frenzy in a Saran Wrap Tupe Top, Skirt and Shoes with VETEMENTS Creative Director Guram Gvasalia

Doja Cat painted the town in saran wrap over the weekend while stepping out with VETEMENTS Creative Director, Guram Gvasalia.

The two held hands and share intimate images to their Instagram pages that has us speculating whether they’re a fashion bomb couple on the rise, or if it’s simple a publicity stunt.

One thing for certain is that body language doesn’t lie, and based on what we’ve seen thus far, the proof is in the pudding.

Speaking of body language, Doja Cat showed off her body in a saran wrap tube top, skirt and shoe’s that may have some of you wondering if she took a page out of Bianca Censori’s handbook.

Unlike anything we’ve seen on Doja as of yet, she definitely had our readers in an uproar with mixed feelings.

Instagram user @sparksnstyle wrote, “even though I think Balenciaga was the first to pull this off, this is lovely marketing and by the comments, it’s working. You guys are talking either way, and I can’t wait to see the official campaign.” While another user, @syd_ran expressed, “Saran wrap is crazy… she had to be hot. Let’s not make this trend.”

Despite some of the conflicting comments, one thing for sure is that Doja Cat beats to the sound of her own drums and we love anyone who has the courage to tap into their own individuality.

The fashionable duo made a pitstop to McDonalds where they indulged in burger with fries and felt down to earth and relatable to the public.

Showcasing his VETEMENTS style, Guram Gvasalia opted for an oversize white shirt and black bomber jacket, with baggy black jeans that felt very on brand.

Doja and Guram also stopped by a sneaker store with Doja Cat holding onto his arm, and Guram appearing to be smitten by the Los Angeles rapper.

With the Met Gala taking place today, there are rumors circulating that Doja Cat may be arriving in a VETEMENTS look so with their latest display of public affection, it will be interesting to see if the rumors are true.

What say you? Hot! Or Hmm…?
