You ask, we answer! @synclairemichellehair says, “I would like to know details on Latto’s jumpsuit for roots picnic?!”
The 18th annual Roots Picnic took place over the weekend at the Mann Center in Philadelphia, with headliners like Maxwell, and Lenny Kravitz taking the stage, and a diverse lineup of artists including Latto, GloRilla and Jeezy setting the crowd ablaze.
The ‘Big Energy’ rapper was all smiles and in her element while performing in a black NiiHai halter style jumpsuit that had a bodice cutout and silhouette of a cross. Her jumpsuit which retails for $76, was form-fitting showcasing her curvaceous body and sickening abs.
Keeping her accessories to a minimum, her bulls head Jose Cortes belt hung at the hips, and her gold rings were complimentary to her french manicure. When it came down to Latto’s glam, she was a total stunner.
With blonde curls, and baby hair that shaped her face, Latto radiated natural beauty. Her make-up was subtle with feathery lashes and a nude lip that glistened next to her diamond hoop earrings.
We thought this look was on brand for Latto, who enjoys embracing her femininity and stepping out in some of the most seductive looks. We’re also sure 21 Savage is probably somewhere rubbing his hands together like Stevie J. (Wink, Wink)

Hands down, Janelle Monae outfit was absolute perfection at this year’s MET Gala, and she came in at #1 in a black, red and white custom Thom Browne ensemble. Her striped suit was co-designed with Oscar-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell, and had layers of greatness. She unraveled from a silk overcoat, and showcased a bi-color sports coat and skirt set that had pinstripes down her right side. Janelle’s look was epic, and her Magritte-style bowler hat included a timepiece affixed to one eye that was such a fashion moment.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky spent the first half of the month in New York, and the second half in France, where they celebrated A$AP Rocky’s latest film “Highest 2 Lowest,” at the Cannes Film festival. On one of their evening outings, they were captured on their way to dinner with Rihanna donning a black Brandon Maxwell cutout dress, and ASAP Rocky in a brown Calvin Klein trench jacket. One thing for certain is that they both continue to live up to their “Fashion Killa“ titles, and we adore seeing Rihanna embrace her baby bump in the most unapologetic way.

With the slogan, “No Swanky, No Styling,” it was only right for our Fashion Bomb CEO Claire Sulmers to choose Swanky Jerry to pull off the dandyism theme, and he didn’t disappoint. If anyone ATE at this year’s MET Gala, it was undeniably Sulmers who was a sight to behold in a red embellished monochromatic suit by Deji & Kola. For the special occasion, she transitioned back to her signature platinum pixie hair cut as an ode to the black dandy, and Claire definitely brought the pressure.

It was a glamorous evening to remember as my friend Tina Odjaghian and I stepped out for an exclusive Dolce & Gabbana shopping event. From the moment we arrived, it was clear we were in for a stylish soirée filled with luxury, laughter, and unforgettable fashion moments.
Tina lit up the evening in a citrus-print Dolce & Gabbana mini dress, paired with jeweled sandals and a vibrant green handbag that added the perfect pop of color. I went for classic Hollywood glam in a black and white polka dot gown, complete with sheer opera gloves, a thigh-high slit, and a Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily mini bag.
We headed into the boutique, where champagne flowed and dazzling designs awaited. Inside, we mingled with fellow fashion lovers and caught up with the radiant host of the night, Heidi, who shimmered in a gold sequin gown.
The night was full of sparkle, style, and sisterhood—a true celebration of fashion and friendship.
Thank you to Dolce & Gabbana and to our gracious host Heidi for the warm hospitality and for hosting such an exquisite evening.
Launching a clothing line is a total thrill—your designs, your vision, coming to life! But turning sketches and fabric into actual garments? That’s where the actual work kicks in.
You need more than mad design skills; you need a cut and sew partner who’s got your back, stitching your ideas into reality with precision. Not every manufacturer’s a match, though—choose wrong, and you’re stuck with delays or shoddy quality.
Before you start Googling factories, take a breather and map out what you need. Are you whipping up simple tees or intricate outerwear? Need help with pattern-making, or just someone to sew it all together? These details are your North Star.
Some manufacturers crank out massive orders; others vibe with smaller batches. Jot down your project specs—fabrics, quantities, deadlines, budget—so you’re ready to ask pointed questions. Knowing your needs upfront keeps you from wasting time on partners who don’t fit.
Check Their Experience
Experience isn’t just a buzzword—it’s everything in cut and sew. A seasoned manufacturer’s been around the block, tackling all kinds of fabrics and styles. They’ve mastered tricky cuts and finicky designs without breaking a sweat.
Ask for samples of their work. Check out their portfolio—what do they make most? Streetwear pros might not nail technical activewear, and vice versa. Make sure their expertise lines up with your brand’s niche, so you’re not their guinea pig for something new.
Look Into Communication
Ever sent an email and then just sat there waiting for days to hear back? That’s a dealbreaker in manufacturing. You’ll need quick back-and-forth to tweak designs, solve hiccups, or confirm details. A partner who’s slow to respond now will only stress you out later.
Test the waters before signing—shoot them a message or call. Are they clear and prompt? Do they ask smart questions about your project? Good communication feels like a partnership, not a chore, and it’ll save you countless headaches down the line.
Ask About Turnaround Time
Fashion’s all about timing—miss a drop, and your sales take a hit. A reliable cut and sew partner knows how to hit deadlines without skimping on quality. Ask upfront: How long does production take? What happens if there’s a delay? Can they handle peak seasons or crunch times?
Make sure their schedule aligns with yours. If you’re aiming for a holiday launch, you need a team that can deliver on time, every time. Clarity here prevents last-minute scrambles and keeps your customers happy.
Don’t Skip the Quality Check
Your brand lives or dies by the details—a loose seam or wonky fit can tank your rep. Quality control’s got to be airtight. Ask how they inspect pieces: Is it humans, machines, or both? How often do they catch errors before shipping?
Better yet, request a test run—a small batch to check before going all-in. It’s your chance to spot issues like uneven stitching or sizing snafus early. Skipping this step is like gambling with your brand’s cred, and fixing mistakes later is a budget-buster.
Know What’s Included
Not all manufacturers are one-stop shops. Some just cut and sew; others might source fabrics, slap on labels, or even handle shipping. Don’t assume—ask exactly what’s included in their services.
Extra offerings might bump up the price, but they can be worth it if they free you up to focus on design or marketing. Just get every detail in writing—fabrics, tags, packaging, timelines. A clear contract keeps everyone on the same page and avoids nasty surprises.
This one’s hard to pin down, but it’s real: go with your gut. When you chat with a manufacturer, do they seem legit? Are they pumped about your project, or just going through the motions? Do they treat your brand like it matters?
You’re in for a close partnership, so any weird vibes now could spell trouble later. Red flags—like vague answers or pushy sales tactics—are your cue to keep looking. Pick a team that feels like a true ally, one who’s as excited about your vision as you are.
Final Thoughts
Finding the right cut and sew manufacturers isn’t a quick checkbox—it’s an investment in your brand’s future. The perfect partner brings your designs to life with killer quality, hits your deadlines, and makes the process feel like a breeze. That’s the kind of support that turns first-time buyers into loyal fans.
So take your time, do the legwork, and ask the tough questions. Dig into their experience, test their communication, and never settle for less than stellar. With the right cut and sew team in your corner, your clothing line’s ready to launch strong, grow fast, and look darn good doing it.
Beyonce performed “Texas Hold ‘Em” during night three of her Cowboy Carter tour stop in New Jersey, donning a blue denim on denim Telfar ensemble that was a bold and glamorous take on traditional cowboy getup.
The “LEVII’S JEANS” singer who has shown us that no one can touch her western style with some of the hottest brim hats, and chicest corseted tops, was a sight to behold in her latest Telfar look.
Of course Bey isn’t new to this but true to this, as she has been known to support Telfar Clemens brand in the past. If you recall, she mentioned Telfar in her song “Summer Renaissance,” solidifying her love and support for the black owned brand.
Beyonce’s “Cowboy Carter” Telfar ensemble featured a cobalt blue paisley swimsuit that had the Telfar logo centered. Her blue denim rhinestone studded chaps matched exquisitely with her denim trench jacket that was adorned with Telfar buttons and embroidery.
On our Instagram page, @theycallme_stacey029 shared, “She just took that outfit off lol Y’all are fast,” while @sadittyshonnie simply commented, “I love when she wears Telfar.”
Beyonce continues to redefine western fashion by taking core elements like denim, fringe and cowboy boots, and reimagining them through modern and southern cultural lenses.
Congratulations to Cassie and Alex Fine who have welcomed baby #3!
Just two weeks just after testifying against Diddy, the “Me & U“ singer has given birth to a baby boy, expanding her family to five. Cassie and Alex who got married in 2019, also share daughters, Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 3.
After hearing Cassie’s testimony, and seeing how the trajectory of her life has changed, it’s great to see her genuinely happy, and now married to the love of her life. Alex appears to be a hands on father, and he’s been standing right by Cassie’s side through it all which we commend him on.
On our Instagram page, @j.m.i.e shared, “Everyone deserves to feel loved and safe. May her life be filled with nothing but peace and happiness!❤️”
Perhaps Cassie and Alex relationship is a testament that you can go through your worst and be at your lowest, and still make it on top. The alchemy of life always ensures we ultimately reach our destiny, and our highest good.
We couldn’t be more happy for this fashion bomb duo!
