So after I published our Spring 2011 Shopping piece on 50+ sultry swimsuits, a few of you asked for brands or options for the delightfully curvacious.
I feel your pain, people! Small, Medium, Large doesn’t work for me. My cup runneth way over, so when it comes to bathing suits (especially bikinis) I need to purchase by cup and waist size.
In my research, I’ve found five brands that work for voluptuous frames.
1. Shoshanna
These fashionable one and two pieces are sized according to bra cup, and go up to a Double D.
2. Vix
Vix swimsuits go up to an Extra Large or a size 12, and boast tops with liberal and flattering fits.
3. Freya
Lingerie brand Freya also makes swimsuits with cup sizes that go from a D all the way up to G. Bonus: they’re cute!
4. Seaspray
Bathing suits by Seaspray start at a size 10 and go up to a 20. Two piece options are limited, but one pieces have fun vintage silhouettes and some bandeau styles.
5. Fantasie
Fantasie is affiliated with Freya, so boasts swimwear with cup sizes going up to a Double H on top and XXlarge on bottom. Fantasie offers a few more playful designs, along with tankinis and saucy one pieces. A lot of tops also have underwire for extra support.
