Not to mention, if anyone knows how to color bundles, it undoubtedly Arrogant Tae.
He does more than just toss tresses, he gives his clients a 360 makeover when he places his hands on their head. That’s right! Tym Wallace is an innovator, who’s amplifying black women through the enhancement of their beauty. Whether he’s laying down Taraji Henson’s baby hairs into a sleek ponytail for the red carpet, or giving Mary J Blige the perfect crimps to two-step across the stage, the “T” in his name stands for transformative.
Platinum and balayage hair never looked better, and Jared Henderson, who goes by the name JStayReady, knows how to bring about a desired look. If you thought Doja Cat and Victoria Monet had an eventful year, then so did JStayReady, as he was the mastermind behind their iconic hair moments. How could anyone ever forget Doja’s infamous performance at Coachella in April where she performed alongside her dancers in monstrous blonde hair suits all made by JStayReady. That moment alone has earned him a place in hair history.
Rihanna doesn’t have to tell Yusef to ‘work, work, work, work, work‘ because baby his tools are doing all the talking. Our Bajan princess and South African goddess Tyla are some of Yusef’s clients, and he has garnered a large following on social media. From Vogue, and Elle to Dazed and Paper Magazine, his work has been featured in some of the top publications. He’s also the founder of ‘The Y’ which is a collection of styling tools that allows people to achieve editorial looks in the comfort of their home. Whether he curating a sexy wet hair look, or artfully channeling a hairdo from the past, he definitely keeps us glued to our screens, and reigns supreme.
One thing about Theo Barrett is that he’s going to give you drama every time. His meticulous touch and attention to detail is what sets him apart, and as a self-proclaimed wig connoisseur, he doesn’t take his craft lightly. In addition to being a key hairstylist for the Sherri Sheppard show, Theo Barrett hands have graced celebs including Tisha Campbell, Porsha Williams, Claire Sulmers, and HER among many more.
Ricky Wing is flying high in the sky and has left all his client on cloud 9 including Monica, Savannah James, and Marsai Martin. Originally from Baltimore, Ricky discovered his passion for hair during his teenage years which propelled him to get his cosmetology license from Paul Mitchell hair school. Her daring “Eye”-covered Area after party dress was a showstopper on its own, racking up 28,000 likes and solidifying her Met Gala looks as unforgettable. This year, Janelle didn’t just attend the Met—she owned it, and her outfits are easily in the running for Outfit of the Year.
Beyoncé graced the February 2024 Superbowl in a show-stopping Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. For the 2024 Met Gala themed “The Garden of Time,” Nicki Minaj delivered a masterclass in thematic dressing with a custom yellow Marni cocktail dress adorned with intricate 3D pastel floral embellishments. Her look exuded sophistication, with her signature blunt bangs framing an elegant updo by Shanel Lord x King Kaat Studios that perfectly complemented the ensemble. Makeup artist Latisha Chancey enhanced the look with soft, luminous tones, allowing Minaj’s natural beauty to shine. Fellow artist SZA aptly described the look as “Perfect,” encapsulating the balance of grace and creativity that made Onika’s interpretation of the theme a standout of the evening.
Jennifer Lopez made a stunning entrance at the 2024 Golden Globes, wearing a custom Nicole Felicia Couture gown styled by her renowned fashion duo, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. Let’s be honest, Rihanna’s looks consistently clocked 30,000 likes and more, whether she was grabbing dinner in a shearling coat and a Yankees cap (32,800 likes) or stepping outside in a braided doobie wrap hairstyle (33,900 likes). Sometimes an all black look is all you need to embody chic. Cut to the draped Saint Laurent gown and sumptuous black fur she wore to the Gala des Pieces Jaune in Paris in January. Simple yet elevated, the look ushered our favorite Bajan Bombshell onto our top outfit list for 2024.

2024 has been the year of Law, from the show stopping red carpet ensembles he curated for his core clients Zendaya, Celine Dion, Naomi Campbell, and Mona Patel, to the debut of his book, How to Build a Fashion Icon. The Chicago native has not only created fashion icons with his well heeled clientele, but he has become an icon himself, drawing crowds of hundreds at his myriad book events, gracing the covers of magazines, and even being parodied on Saturday Night Live. While stylists traditionally stay in the background, Law has stepped firmly to the front, walking side by side with his stars so they both shine.

Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald delivered stand out, stunning looks in 2024, including Colman Domingo’s Valentino couture at the Critics’ Choice Awards and Danielle Deadwyler’s metallic Schiaparelli gown at The Piano Lesson premiere. They have single-handedly created new conversations around menswear with their visionary work with Colman Domingo, who was named one of the co-chairs for the forthcoming Black Dandy inspired Met Gala 2025; they’re also helping to carve a lane for couture for curvy women with their artistry with Davine Joy Randolph, who has stunned in custom Louis Vuitton, Sophie Couture, and Christian Siriano. But it doesn’t end there. From Taraji P. Highlights included Kerry Washington’s breathtaking Elie Saab Haute Couture gown at the Governors Awards, featuring intricate beading, a dramatic fishtail silhouette, and a flowing train, complemented by sleek hair and delicate accessories. They’re also responsible for the consistent slay that is Jennifer Lopez, whose Nicole Felicia gown from the Golden Globes put her on our list for 2024 Outfit of the Year.
Jahleel Weaver is the quiet force behind our favorite Bad Gal Rihanna, whose street style looks top your ‘liked’ lists more often than not. Weaver is a master of the archives and accessories, which he says elevate any look, and we’ve seen Rihanna hit the red carpet in vintage Galliano, Magda Butrym, and more, with Bomb Accessories to match. KC Experience
The KC Experience took Yung Miami by storm in 2024, crafting looks for the Mogul on the rise from Alaia, McQueen, and more. All of Miami’s looks were fresh, vibrant, yet elevated, making the style duo one worthy of note for 2024 and ones to watch for 2025.
Marni Senofonte and Deonte Nash
Princess of R&B Ciara has a Bomb Styling team behind her, namely Marni Senofonte for her red carpet glam and Deonte Nash for her day to day ensembles. The team works seamlessly, and over the summer they collaborated on creating amazing looks for Ciara’s record breaking concert. With Senofonte blending Ciara’s modelesque elegance with Nash’s focus on her tomboy streetwear penchants, the result are always perfection!
Shiona Turini
Shiona Turini’s styling highlights of 2024 showcased her ability to merge high fashion with cultural narratives. While she has been slaying Queen Bey’s looks since the Renaissance tour into her Cowboy Carter era, her standout work for this year might have to be Beyoncé’s show-stopping Christmas NFL halftime performance, where the star wore a custom Roberto Cavalli couture white feather coat paired with a Lindsey James Show Clothing custom ensemble and an ASN cowboy hat. Last, but not least, we have Icon Tips, who has single handedly helped make Savannah James shine in 2024 in pieces by Schiaparelli, Dolce & Gabbana, and more. Mrs. James is a silent fashion killer, quietly slaying with her boy Casey cheering her on with singular chic.
