Support Breast Cancer Awareness in Style: 10 Essentials To Rock For A Good Cause

October is all about Breast Cancer Awareness, and we’re all about supporting the cause in style! Celeb and fashion brands have created items whose proceeds go towards breast cancer research and treatment. Behold a short list:

  • Alicia Keys x Stella McCartney
  • Alicia Keys is all about raising awareness, and this time she has teamed up with Stella McCartney, who designed the Ophelia lingerie set that’s lacey in Poppy Pink. In hopes to fight the 42 percent of African-Americans who are at risk for the disease, this campaign will support the Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Examination Center of Harlem. The Soft Cup Bra is $160, while the matching briefs are $90.

     

    2. Nike x Sneaker Room

    Owner of Sneaker Room, Suraj Kaufmann teamed up with Nike to develop color ways of the ‘Get Money’ sneaker that NBA player,  Reggie Miller sported once sported in the ’90s. It is now dubbed as the ‘Air More Money’ sneaker. According to Complex, these sneakers will debut on Oct. 30th at the Sneaker Room boutique in New Jersey and online. You can get them in pink/white for $180 (only 360 pairs available); in a variation of white/pink with only 100 pairs in-stock for $500 or get all three sneakers if you splurge on the black/pink pair for $2000 with only 40 pairs available. So far, more than $40,000 in pre-orders were raised and all the proceeds will go towards fighting Breast Cancer.

    Tory Burch is raising awareness by dropping a Shop For A Cure line featuring a $209 Parker tote, $30 roll-on perfume, a $209 wallet and/or metallic wallet chain which supports the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. 25 percent of the proceeds will go towards BCRF.     4. Rebecca Taylor

    Designer, Rebecca Taylor is all for the cause. The brand is donating 50 percent of their proceeds towards the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation with each purchase of the $325 Rose Clip Chiffon Ruffle top.

    Timberland is in the spirit, as the brand developed a $170 limited-edition pink waterproof hiking boot, that benefits one of the largest campaigns to fight Breast Cancer, the Susan G. Komen Foundation. According to their website, the nature brand promises that they will donate $50,000 if these hot pink boots sale or not.

     

    7. GLAM4GOOD x ALEPEL x @angelesalmuna

    These $140 architectural handpainted shoes by Adriana, known on Instagram as @alepel_byadriana, teamed up with @angelesalmuna and @glam4good  to create Alepel for a Cause in hopes to raise awareness with select styles of floral printed mules. All proceeds go towards GlAM4GOOD, a nonprofit organization that’s all about empowering fashionistas through social change like Breast Cancer Awareness.
