Hey!
So on Thursday, I attended the Dress for Success Gala.

Not familiar with Dress for Success? It’s a non profit organization that provides professional attire to disadvantaged women, preparing them for the workplace by offering counseling, advice, and proper clothing. It really is quite fantastic, and I was inspired by the success stories of the women involved.

The night honored Nicki Minaj’s mother, Carol Maraj, pictured here with her two sons.

It also gave Tommy Hilfiger the humanitarian award, for his philanthropic contributions. I grabbed a pic with him at the end of the night.

The evening called for cocktail attire, so I pulled a sparkly Halston dress out of my closet, topped off by Louboutin ribbon back sandals.

It was an amazing night! I’m definitely going to begin volunteering my time to Dress for Success.
Clothing seems frivolous, but the proper outfit can increase confidence, and help you get a job that can ultimately change your life.
Pretty powerful, no?
