Behind every star is a star stylist!
Though we make it our job to ogle over the outfits of some of our favorite celebs, much praise is due to the team behind them. From movie premieres to award shows, celebrity stylists have been putting in work to make sure their clients remain on best dressed lists.  Take a look at ten stylists making waves in the fashion industry.

1. Monica Rose

Clients include: Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Lala Anthony, Chanel Iman, Giuliana Rancic, and Chrissy Teigen.

Fashionable mom-to-be-Chrissy Teigen took to her book signing in Miami in a white bodysuit, distressed jeans, a blush coat and nude open toe sandal. Hot!

Monica Rose recalls her first fashion memory at 5 or 6 years old.  While organizing her mother’s closet, she fell in love with how chic and polished her wardrobe was, despite their financial income.  The fashion bug continued to bite her when she found herself calling friends the day before school and telling them what to wear.  She’d cut their pants to create edgier looks for them.  Let’s just say the parent’s of her friends were not too fond of her pushy, stylish ways.  Little did they know, they had a future fashionista on their hands who would later become one of today’s most celebrated stylists.
2. Mariel & Rob

Clients Include: Jennifer Lopez, Ciara, Gwen Steffani, Rachel McAdams, Cara Delevingne, and Pharrell.

Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi received the Best Stylist of the Year Award at the Fashion LA Awards on March 20th, 2016.  The recognition is well deserved for the dynamic styling duo responsible for the looks of some of Hollywood’s heavy hitters.  They’re most known for inventing and reinventing celebrities style by pulling out their personal predilections.  To Mariel and Rob, creating the perfect fashion moment is only half of the goal.  They aspire to create a brand for their client.
3. Wayman & Micah

Clients Include: Serayah, Tessa Thompson, Brandy Norwood, Justine Skye, Selita Ebanks and Keke Palmer.

Wayman Bannerman & Micah McDonald worked in the fashion industry as individual celebrity stylist for years.  In 2013, they decided to brand themselves as a collective, becoming Wayman + Micah.  Split between New York and Los Angles, they’re able to provide styling services for editorial shoots and red carpet events on both ends of the coasts.

4. Micaela Erlanger

Clients Include: Common, Gal Gadot, Lupita Nyong’o, Jennifer Hudson, Catherine Zeta Jones, Winona Ryder, Olivia Munn and Jared Leto.

Micaela Erlanger is the go-to stylist when it comes to red carpet season. The rapport she develops with her clients builds a level of trust that is needed to make the partnership work.  In an interview with Vanity Fair she stated, “There is constant communication going on and I think that’s why our results are as good as they often are, because we really understand one another and I know how to introduce what it is that they are looking for. There’s always a story. We’re always looking to tell a story through image.”

5. Marni Senofonte

Clients include: Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Rowland, Cassie, Brandy, Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys.

Marni Senofonte, stylist and costume designer, attributes her fashionable quirkiness to her first job with Norma Kamali.  Norma’s 3 week ban on black caused her to think outside the box.  She reminisced with Us Weekly about the experience stating, “Thirteen years later, and I still don’t wear any black at all. I don’t own any black articles of clothing, not even a black bra! It forces me to stay creative.”  She has contributed to the fashion industry for 19 years and she’s still workin’!  More recently, Marnie styled the Super Bowl ‘Formation’ presentation as well as the’711′ and ‘Feelin’ Myself’ videos.

Clients Include: Taraji P Henson, Gabrielle Union, Tamera Mowry, Sanaa Lathan, and Tika Sumpter.

Jason Bolden went from working retail for Chloe, Oscar de la Renta and Gucci to styling A-list stars for the red carpet.  His career began when a good friend, Gabrielle Union, asked for help in finding something to wear for an Art Basel event in 2011.  “I put her in a vintage Lanvin dress and never looked back,” he revealed to Hollywood Reporter.   In addition to styling, Jason has started a new business venture.  His eyewear line, JSN Eyewear, debuted earlier this month.

Law Roach has been working with Zendaya Coleman since the age of 13.  In the beginning of their relationship, it was difficult for him to find designers willing to work with the Disney star.  The tables have certainly turned!  Zendaya is now a super hot commodity and Law has first choice when it comes to who he will dress her in.  Since working with the starlet, he has expanded his resume and his distinct style has been noticed by others.  In an interview with VH1 he states, “People say they can always tell when I’m working on someone but it’s still always them. I try to let my clients be who they are but still put a little me into it.”

I wanted my own line, ya know, design it from the ground up and that was actually something I wanted to do for a very very long time,” he said to The Utopia Suite in an interview.  Rumor has it, a fashion line is in the works.

Bryon Javar fell in love with fashion at the age of 4 when he became captivated by Ike and Tina Turner’s wardrobe in the movie, What’s Love Got to Do With It.  In the 9th grade, he learned that he could fuse his love for fashion and clothing after hearing Tameka Foster mention in an interview with BET that she made $1,200 a day to dress Usher Raymond.  He wasn’t too sure what a stylist was, but it prompted him to do some research.  Certain of his career path, Bryon reached out to a long time high school friend in hopes that she would let him style her; the rest was history.  Bryon and Karrueche Tran first collaborated for the June 2015 BET Awards.  Since working with him she has been spied on the best dressed list via, and Fashion Police.
