Let’s get into their looks!
I expected a sheer gown from Jennifer Lopez, but she switched it up on us all in Giambattista Valli. The draped cape gown with a thigh-high slit still served up sexiness and glamour: lavish and dazzling.
Taraji P. Henson posed like a supermodel in a white strapless Stella McCartney gown. Fierce!
Zendaya Coleman was the lady in red in a deep berry tiered floral peplum Marchesa gown with a plunging neckline. Law Roach + this beauty = sartorial magic.
Jada Pinkett-Smith made more than a few women green with envy in a Versace number with a thigh-baring slit in the statement-making shade. So elegant!
Laverne Cox turned more than a few heads in a high-neck white Elizabeth Kennedy gown with a train hem. Simply stunning.
Regina King shined in a paillette-embellished gown with a cape back. Definitely one of the best dressed. Hot!
Viola Davis twinkled like the gorgeous star she is in a navy Marchesa gown with silver embellishment, accented with a wispy overlay.
Queen Latifah was ravishing in a light blue Badgley Mischka dress with a silver, crystal-encrusted neckline.
Angela Bassett donned a red Safiyaa dress with a sculptural neckline and slight front slit. She just keeps getting better…it’s inspiring honestly.
Kevin Hart and fiancée Eniko Parrish both looked magnificent! I loved his tux and her black and white dot print gown.
Eva Longoria added some whimsy and playfulness to the classic white gown with a bow belt, colorful floral beading, and a front slit in Georges Hobeika. Cute no?
Gina Rodriguez was the belle of the ball in an off-the-shoulder navy Zac Posen gown. Werk Gina!
America Ferrera was a ray of sunshine in a yellow halter Jenny Packham gown with crystal embellishment and Simon G jewelry. She’s never looked better!
Miss Golden Globe 2016 herself, Corinne Foxx channeled modern princess chic in a long-sleeve embroidered tulle gown with a deep v-neckline. She’s so beautiful: I cannot wait to see her live in action on stage and to see what she does next.
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum were one of the night’s best dressed couples, with Jenna in a navy and silver embellished Zuhair Murad gown.
Cape-backs are another one of the night’s trends, with Lily James clad in a frothy white cutout Marchesa gown accented with one. She and the gown were exquisite.
It’s no surprise that Cate Blanchett chose Givenchy for the night, though I’m pretty sure every brand in the world clamored to dress her. She always brings unabashed glamour!
Kate Hudson skewed sultry in a bisque beaded crepe cady bandeau gown from Michael Kors and Forevermark Diamonds. If you’ve got it, flaunt it right?
Ruffles and cleverly placed cutouts were on the menu for Rooney Mara in Alexander McQueen. A glorious gown!
Prada dressed Katy Perry in a décolletage-baring gown. She loves a retro moment, thus the hair…a bit distracting from her otherwise splendid look.
It wasn’t a shocker that Jennifer Lawrence opted for Dior. Her cutout gown was pretty sublime, no?
Lady Gaga gave us old Hollywood glamour in a black custom velvet Atelier Versace gown. Superb!
David Oyelowo always goes bold on the red carpet. He did not disappoint in a three-piece textured Dolce & Gabbana suit.
Captain America: Civil War actress Jane Wu shimmered and sparkled in a silver sequin gown. This is my first time seeing Jane and I’m certain it won’t be the last. Hot!
Maria Menounos was white hot in a curve-hugging Roland Mouret number with a plunging neckline. This was flawless.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was gilded in a slinky gold, cami-inspired Atelier Versace gown with a sheer wispy hem. She’s always on point!
Olivia Wilde glistened in a form-fitting red sequin halter gown from Michael Kors. A pared-down, yet sultry silhouette with the right amount of embellishment? Brilliant.
Heidi Klum tried on fringe for size in a radiant silver Marchesa gown.
TV personality Lilliana Vasquez went bold in a frothy strapless cobalt number from Leanne Marshall, accented with Simon G jewelry.
Sophia Bush showed that simplicity never goes out of style in a black Narciso Rodriguez gown with glittering diamonds and red lips.
Glitz was on high when it came to Kate Bosworth’s strapless sequin Dolce & Gabbana dress. I love her style!
Khaleesi would surely approve of Emilia Clarke’s black embroidered, high-neck cape gown.
Ana de la Reguera served up dark romance in a purple embellished tulle gown with an illusion neckline and matching plum lips.
Everything was coming up roses for Rachel McAdams in a floral printed Lanvin number boasting the flower and Forevermark Diamonds. This was pretty, but not one of my favorite looks from the lovely actress.
Sam Smith opted for a classic black tux.
Aziz Ansari uplifted a timeless black tux with understated plaid.
Lamé was on the agenda for Melissa McCarthy in a kimono-inspired gown with a slight front slit from her own collection.
Jane Fonda never lets us down and she was clad in a ruffle-accented, long-sleeve white number from Yves Saint Laurent Couture. This is an icon ladies and gents!
Amy Adams’s red Atelier Versace gown was accentuated with sequin embellishment.
Kate Winslet was surprisingly conservative in a navy Ralph Lauren halter gown, though a slight slit did add a bit of flair.
Julianne Moore calls Tom Ford one of her BFFs (lucky her), thus she slipped on a navy sequin gown from the designer. Hot!
