Welcome to another week of Fashion Bomb reader fabulousness!
Today, we’re featuring Zeina, a bombshell from Miami, Florida by way of Zimbabwe. She says, “I’m a Music major turned fashion merchandising major. I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and we African women LOVE to look good!”
She continues, “People always want to highlight the bad things about Africa, but don’t realize a lot of fashion comes from there! If you go to South Africa, the men and women are so creative in their style mixing classic pieces with items of the moment. In Western Africa like Nigeria and Senegal the women look good even if just going to the market decked out in beautiful real gold jewelry and traditional garments! I swear whenever I go home I’m in a fashion show!”
Sounds cool–makes me want to travel to Africa and look around!
