Happy Monday!
So I was graciously invited by Sundrop to attend the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada, and share my thoughts on the show via Twitter.
Before attending the show, I did of course get a chance to experience Vegas. A few of my fave activities included….
Taking a helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon with Serenity Tours:
Sure, gliding thousands of feet in the air is slightly terrifying, but there’s nothing like seeing one of the seven natural wonders of the world via helicopter. The price includes over a one hour tour, breakfast, a beverage, and a moment to view the Canyon from inside. It was amazing.
Spending time by the pool:
Of course no trip to Vegas would be complete without some requisite time spent sunning poolside. Though I popped by both MGM’s and Monte Carlo’s pools, I’d highly suggest hitting up Ditch Fridays at the Palms.
Entry is about $30, but be prepared for great beats, fun drinks, and lots of eye candy.
The nightlife:
While I didn’t sample the night life too much, I did pop by 1Oak at the Mirage after the awards show. The space is vast and the bass is bumping. You’ll surely have a good time!
Other must sees include the light show at the Bellagio, and just a simple walking tour of all the hotels.

As always Claire you look the bomb. I have to say that I would love to know how Demetria got her hair like that. Claire can you ask her the 411 on that and do a post on it. Danielle used to do posts on hair, I have not seen one on the FB for a long time. Please do a post on it!

You have an undeniably toned body Claire. However your body shape, which appears to be an inverted triangle, just does not suit this particular garment. I would prefer something that gives your lower and upper half more balance. Perhaps if the dress were slightly longer it would have created that illusion. Speaking of which, I would love to see a post (if it hasn’t already been posted) on how to dress for one’s body type. You are still great and we appreciate your blog!

I SEE YOUR SHOES AND YOUR CLUTCH! WERK IT GIRRRRL! isn’t Vegas fun? Also, you should have dinner at Botero at Encore or Sensi at Bellgio. Also chek out the nightclub XS (between Wynn/Encore). That club is off the chain.

Claire’s Life is my favorite post on this blog. I love it. Best thing to do in Vegas is GAMBLE!!! I’ve fallen asleep at the slot machine. LOL Vegas is great and Claire you look amazing as always.

Wow…Claire you look amazing. Favorite thing to do in Vegas is shop, favorite hotels are the Venetian, Palazzo and the Wynn.

Hey…thanks for all your wonderful comments! For everyone who wanted to know, I posted my workout routine at the top of the year. Just take a look at the Claire’s Life archives. With shopping, I didn’t really think there was much to say, since Vegas has the same stores you can find in New York. I didn’t uncover any hidden gems, though they do have Saks and Bloomies, which are always fun!
If you didn’t like my outfit, I’m totally cool with that. I know we do Hot or Hmm’s on celebs all the time on this site…and though I’m *far* from a celeb, I understand that when you put yourself out there, some people will like your look and some won’t. It’s a part of life, and that’s ok. But I loved it! xoxo

I know hair is a touchy topic but, does anyone know what weave Demetria is wearing? I’ve followed her blog and had a WHOA moment when she went from a short blonde TWA to this style… and I LOVE IT! I am natural as well & looking for a good weave that matches my texture and this one is perfect! Please SOMEBODY… ANYBODY… tell what brand or type of hair this is
