He’s also the first man that Teyana has confidently come out to the public with since her divorce from NBA player Iman Shumpert last year.

Megan Thee Stallion in a Custom Green Feather Gown
Award season is in full swing and last night at the 97th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby theater in Los Angeles, stars broke out on the red carpet in their most dazzling attire to honor the best performances in film.
‘Wicked‘ co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande opened the show performing a medley of songs from the ‘Wizard of OZ,’ ‘The Wiz,’ and of course ‘Wicked.’ Erivo made a statement on the red carpet in a black custom Louis Vuitton gown, while Ariana Grande embodied femininity in a blush tulle Schiaparelli look that had a structural bodice.
Doja Cat also looked fierce at the Oscars in a strapless Balmain leopard dress that had a V-neck plunge neckline. She later transitioned into a custom Swarovski dress while performing a rendition of Shirley Bassey’s “Diamonds Are Forever” from the 1971 film.
The “Paint the Town Red” rapper wasn’t the only one shining and glistening throughout the evening as actresses Halle Berry and Yvonne Orji looked spectacular in gowns that reflected shattered mirrors.

From honorees including the multitalented Teyana Taylor and Cynthia Erivo, to Essence Magazine February covergirl Tyra Banks, there was a multitude of beauty, confidence and black excellence in the room. And of course in true black form, the fashion was ‘fashioning’ with the most innovative and creative looks to hit the carpet.
Fashion Bomb CEO, Claire Sulmers arrived on the scene in a royal purple Michael Costello ostrich feather dress that was characterized with a high-neck. Her black open-toe heels paired perfectly with her YSL clutch bag, and we adored her burgundy hair color that was complimentary to her caramel complexion.
Mother and daughter duo, Tyra Banks and Carolyn London both looked incredible in all black ensembles that exuded elegance and nobility. Banks custom Pajtim Raci off-the-shoulder gown had a sheer embellished corset, and hugged her coke bottle shape. Stylist Wilford Lenov has been doing a remarkable job styling Tyra Banks as of late, and she’s never looked better.
Tyra wasn’t the only one showing off her fabulous body, as Creative Director Teyana Taylor proved to be a knock-out in a camel Amiri dress. Featuring cutouts, and draping throughout, her high slit showcased her Tom-Ford padlock sandals that tied her monochromatic look together. Similar to Teyana, the “Queen of Popiano“ Tyla also opted for a camel hued sequins dress that was form-fitting on her petit frame.
When it came down to serving a fashion-forward and avant-garde look on the carpet, Cynthia Erivo nailed it in a black Maison Margiela tulle look that was complimented with Tabi shoes. Her ensemble was intricate, sheer in texture and structurally voluminous. Cynthia’s collar added drama, and her gold facial jewelry enhanced her beauty.
In addition to Cynthia Erivo turning heads, Lori Harvey looked effortlessly Parisian chic in a Burberry outfit. Harvey chose to abandon the traditional dress, and instead opted for a khaki double breasted cropped trench jacket, with plaid cargo pants. Her mint colored layered belt with gold hardware was the perfect touch.
The Essence “Black Women in Hollywood” awards gave black women a spotlight to unapologetically shine bright. Malcolm X once stated, “The most disrespected person in America is the Black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the Black woman. The most neglected person in America is the Black woman.” This luncheon was a coming together to reflect, acknowledge and celebrate black women in all their glory, and recognize how far they’ve come.

Meagan Good in Custom Eman Alajilan and Jonathan Majors in House of Gray
Multifaceted television personality Bevy Smith partnered with H&M to host a black excellence cocktail soirée Tuesday evening at H&M’s showroom, and the event was nothing shy of the most chicest women in Los Angeles.
In celebration of award season, Smith gathered the who’s who of Hollywood to immerse in fashion and connection, while indulging in the tastiest treats. Guests were greeted with black-owned wine including Issa Rae’s Viarae Prosecco, and Ingrid Best’s IBest Wine. In addition to snacking on the most flavorful hors d’oeuvres by Chef Keith Corbin.
Fashion Bomb CEO Claire Sulmers was on the scene and arrived in a khaki H&M double-breasted trench coat that she belted and hung off her shoulders. She accessorized with oxblood patent leather Aminah Abdul Jillil boots that coordinated perfectly with her rich burgundy hair color.
Sulmers stopped to speak with Dominque Fluker from Essence magazine, and discussed what it’s like to build a brand in an ever changing market. She also touched on the importance of representation, diversity and inclusion in the fashion industry.
The hostess with the mostess, Bevy Smith looked glamorous in a black crystal embellished archival H&M dress that glistened throughout the evening. She opted for brown bangs with soft sultry curls that highlighted her diamond hoop earrings.
Bevy worked the room, entertaining a star-studded guest list that included Cynthia Bailey, Yvonne Orji, Estelle and Tay Beauchamp.
Lady London was also in attendance showcasing her fabulous style and donning the most stylish fur accessories. She sported a white high-low dress with a fur hat by Dominique Kerenice, and patched fur boots by Jennifer Le.
Serving leather galore, was this year’s Faby’s recipient for ‘Most Fashionable Teen,’ Azzy Milan who reunited with Claire for a second time this month. Milan looked sizzling hot in a black leather dress, with black and gold wedge sandals.

The 2025 NAACP Image Awards kicked off Saturday night at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles and what an extravagant evening highlighting black excellence.
Fashion Bomb CEO, Claire Sulmers arrived on the purple carpet in an electric blue David Koma dress that showed off her statuesque legs, and feathered sandals. She interviewed a variety of celebrities including David Banner, Shannon Sharpe and Ashley Monique Harper.
It proved to be a big night for Keke Palmer who won the “Entertainer of the Year” award. Palmer looked like a class act in her black Versace dress that draped at the hip. Her black crystal embellished choker necklace was a nice contrast against her auburn orange hair color, and she embodied glamour and regality.
Who doesn’t love this sister duo? Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey walked the red carpet donning the most exquisite gowns. Chloe made a fashion-forward statement in a black and gold sculptural Gaurav Gupta gown, while Halle looked elegant in a silver and white Sabina Bilenko number.
Winning ‘Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture‘ for her role in “Six Triple Eight” was none other than the beautiful Kerry Washington. Her auburn and brown Prada floral bandeau top and skirt combo was modern and fresh, and she carried this look exceptionally well.
We love a woman in a power suit, and Cynthia Erivo and Janelle James showed us how it’s done. Cynthia looked like a certified boss in a black Dolce & Gabbana pinstripe double breasted suit. Janelle James on the hand fabulously served royal purple realness in Pamella Roland.
Representing for the fashionable men at the NAACP Image awards was Morris Chestnut who never disappoints. He looked dapper in a House of Gray look and his animal print mohair jacket was tailored to perfection.
Actresses, Gabrielle Union Wade and Zoe Saldana both looked sensational on the purple carpet. Gabrielle embodied old Hollywood in a black and silver beaded gown while Zoe looked effortlessly chic in a Maison Margiela polka-dot dress that was soft and feminine.
We thought everyone came with their A-game at the NAACP Image Awards. It’s so important to recognize and celebrate black excellence. Especially now as we begin to see more companies roll back on their DEI initiatives.
So the day before the NAACP awards, I spent 24 hours in Philly to host a screening of the latest episode of Ready to Love!

It seems the Philadelphia dating scene leaves a little to be desired, however I met several amazing and eligible hopefuls, including Tae, Husienn, Kiara, and Rose.
For the occasion, I wore a pink Alexandre Vauthier dress, Louboutin heels, and a stole from FGM Bespoke! By pure coincidence, I matched with the hostest with the mostest, who looked lovely in Boiscamp.
