Last night I was invited to attend Elle Magazine’s 4th Annual Women in Music Celebration:
Sure, a slew of famous faces graced the pink carpet, but there were just as many creative characters in the crowd.
Waiters passed out drinks and hors d’oeuvres, while guests sampled Covergirl products and had fun posing for fictional Covergirl ads.
The concert then began, with performances by Rita Ora, who sang hits like How We Do (Party) and Shine Ya Light acapella:
Newsflash: homegirl can sing. Not sure if I’m in love with her current musical repertoire, but she has the pipes to blow.
Kelly Rowland then set the stage aflame with her songs Neva End and Motivation:
She closed out her super fun set with Destiny’s Child hits like Bootylicious and Survivor.
I’m having a moment with Peter Pilotto right now, so wore the brand’s Michon skirt for the festivities:
I kept it cool with an Alexander Wang tank and Jimmy Choo Anouk pumps, and draped a Helmut Lang jacket over my shoulders to stave off the evening chill.
I’m off to Atlanta in a few hours (!) for a MegaGrowth hair event. Stay tuned to Twitter and Instagram for the blow-by-blow!
At any rate, what do you think of our snaps?
