Melania Trump gave a speech at last night’s Republican National Convention that bore a striking resemblance to a speech First Lady Michelle Obama gave at the Democratic National Convention in 2008.

19 JUL: Melania Trump, the wife of Donald Trump, has faced accusations that a portion of her speech at the Republican Convention plagiarised Michelle Obama. Mr Trump’s communications adviser Jason Miller said in a statement: “In writing her beautiful speech, Melania’s team of writers took notes on her life’s inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking.
