As one of the winners of last year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund prize, Uribe is colloquially what we’d describe as being in his bag. This assortment was a veritable parade of his belief in his design prowess and a faith of sorts in the industry’s love for what he’s putting out there. Unbelievably, it has been less than two years since he staged his first presentation in Washington Square Park.
Uribe is all about eradicating gender norms and the offerings served up crop tops, a fringe-accented turban, ruffles adorning a timeless jersey, and tulle insets. Some of the models blurred the lines of gender themselves, appearing androgynous and sporting wigs.
Though these designs are clearly not for the faint of heart, they’re the pieces street style snaps are made of. A quick search produced only a smattering of sites selling the brand, but we’re looking forward to seeing how buyers invest and adapt the wares at hand.
