Balmain’s trademarks are impossible to miss these days—including but not limited to needlework that pulls inspiration from old world fashion, lustrous satin, curve-hugging fits, and slits both up and down to there. Olivier Rousteing has truly made his mark and whereas his designs normally cost a pretty penny (more accurately often a million of them), his latest collaboration with fast fashion retailer H&M will be much more affordable, with the same glamorous aesthetic.

Signatures of the French fashion house are on display from velvet embroidered LBDs to wide, waist-cinching belts. Pearl embellishment makes a statement on long-length cardigans, while silky separates make the case for day-to-night dressing.

The looks are almost identical to the assortments Rousteing shows on the runway and we have high hopes in the quality department as H&M hasn’t failed us in this past. The ensembles will bring the brand’s quintessential cool, sultry flair, and moxie to the average woman.
