Teyana Taylor caused a lot of commotion on the red carpet at the 83rd Golden Globes in a captivating black Schiaparelli haute couture gown that was absolutely exquisite .
Bold, yet timeless, and a beautiful depiction of Daniel Roseberry’s many whimsical designs, Teyana’s Schiaparelli gown was a sight to behold. Draped to perfection with the illusion of being glued to her body, the front of her dress featured a structured swirl neckline. The back of her dress was a canvas in itself, showcasing a derrière cutout with a bedazzled rhinestone bow.
The evening proved to be huge for Taylor who took home the first award of the evening at the Golden Globes for best Supporting Actress in “One Battle After Another.”
During her acceptance speech with tears that gracefully trickled down her face, she shared “I almost didn’t even write a speech because I didn’t think I was [going to win]. “Thank you to the Golden Globe voters for seeing me and reminding me that purpose always finds its moment.“

The 83rd Golden Globe Awards is upon us this Sunday, and a new primetime awards-season special known as the “Golden Eve” kicked off on Tuesday, January 6th at the Beverly Hilton.
The prestigious event brought out a variety of A-list celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Mirren who both were honored and recognized for their contributions to television and film. Parker glistened in a metallic ball gown by Paolo Sebastian, that she styled with a black tailored blazer jacket. While Mirren wore a long custom light pink Stella McCartney dress that had a cinched waisted and impeccable draping.
There were so many standout red carpet looks including Love Island star, Olandria Carthen who looked runway-ready on the carpet. Exuding beauty from head-to-toe, Olandria opted for a black floral beaded gown from Nigerian designer Sevon Dejana’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. Her off-the-shoulder dress had a green satin train, with sheer detailing, and was absolutely exquisite.
Representing for the stylish men was none other than Coleman Domingo who stepped out in a black on black double breasted tuxedo by Dolce & Gabbana. We know that Coleman treats fashion like a performance, and the Golden Eve was no exception. His double lapels on his suit was modern and boundary-breaking, solidifying his black dandy title.

The beautiful wife of Pastor Jamal Bryant, Dr. Karri Bryant is catching a lot of heat for a black lace Jazella Francesca gown that she recently wore to the UNCF Mayor’s Masked ball at Signia by Hilton Atlanta.
While some people thought Mrs. Bryant wore a gorgeous formal evening gown that was appropriate for a black-tie charity event, others deemed it a bit too risqué.
The lace embellished dress in question by Jazella Couture featured a structured corset bodice with boning throughout that sculpted her silhouette. Her black train added drama, giving Dr. Karri her main character moment. She completed her audacious ensemble with black sheer opera gloves.
Despite how beautiful she looked, you know a few folks in the congregation had a few things to say. Perhaps beauty doesn’t come without a cost. Nonetheless, Mr. Bryant has come to his wife’s defense.
During his New Year’s Eve service, the Atlanta pastor shared his thoughts about the backlash and some of the comments made about his wife’s dress to which he concluded,
“I needed to set the record straight: I bought the dress! And I like it. I don’t care whether you like it or not, she ain’t married to all. She married to me.”
In addition to Pastor Bryant, fans also rallied behind Dr. Karri, with many praising how incredible she looked.
