Happy Friday!
So if you live in New York and love fashion, you don’t necessarily have to be an ‘insider’ to see some of your favorite industry insiders in Real Life! The Metropolitan Museum has a series of talks with Alina Cho featuring fabulous designers and editors–from Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz to Vogue’s Anna Wintour (learn more and subscribe to their newsletter here). My big bro was kind enough to snag me tickets to a talk last night with Donatella Versace, so I headed uptown to check it out.

Madame Donatella had lots of knowledge to impart (Her Fashion Philosophy? To Dare and Be Bold), and took a series of questions from designer hopefuls in a Q&A session afterwards. For the night, she looked adorable in a bell bottom monochrome red grommeted suit from Versace’s Fall 2015 collection.

I planned to wear something white hot and Versace, but was feelingfat bloated, so slipped on my boyfriend jeans from Zara, a Virgos Lounge sequined top, and silver Casadei pumps.

I threw a Helmut Lang jacket over my shoulders and slipped on a few blinged out jewelry pieces: BCBG earrings, and Topshop rings.

These talks are also great, because you never know you might run into. I peeped former IMG Vice President Fern Mallis in the audience (she has a series of fashion talks herself at the 92Y), and also ran into celebrity stylist Jason Rembert (he styles Rita Ora and Iggy Azalea):

I also grabbed a pic with street style aficionado and designer Steph Mendoza:

At any rate, it was fun! I’ll have to go to Alina Cho’s next talk with Alber Elbaz. See all upcoming talks at MetMuseum.org.

Will you be checking it out?

I’m off tomorrow for LA (again) for Tea Time Talk with Divas & Dolls!

If you’re in LA on Sunday May 3rd, come have brunch with me! Get tickets here.
