First up? Coats:

Under $100:
If you want to go crazy with color or patterns, do so with a low cost option that you won’t mind giving away or consigning once the season passes:
$100-$250:
Splurge on a great seasonless wool or puffy down in a fashionable neutral that melds well with your look. When shopping for wool, be sure to perform the wrinkle test: squeeze a bit of fabric in your hand for about 15 seconds, then look to see if it’s wrinkled. If the fabric bounces back, you’ll look pressed and fresh dressed for the winter. If not, leave it on the rack!
$250 +:
Save the big bills for great names that are synonymous with quality. I personally have a Mackage coat that I *love*. It feature black heavy wool, an interesting funnel neck, and a chic belt that makes any outfit super stylish. Even though I bought it years ago, it always seems on trend and fun.
