Today’s Bombshell happens to be from Houston as well! See what Danielle from Texas sent our way:
She says, “My style is a mix of vintage and classic pieces.”
” I live for bright colors…”
“… and showstopping prints.”
” It’s a must to have that one piece that has people ask…”
“… “Wow! Where did you get that?!?””
Well, where did you get that bee printed dress? It’s love!

So on Day 2 of Summer Sizzle BVI, guests were treated to a white party.
Fashion Bomb photog Karl Pierre was in the building to snap a few stylish guests.
Take a look:
Crisp minis, maxis, and short shorts were the call for this statuesque group.
A white halter number was given some punch with printed sandals.
Even more leggy models! These ladies kept their looks interesting with a variety of fun footwear.
It can sometimes be hard for guys to stand out at these types of shindigs, but this young man got it right in patterned shorts and a white blazer. Shout out to the Photo Bomber in the back.
Accessories designer Jamal also opted for subtle prints in a pattern accented white tee and shorts.
This model hit the middle of the dance circle in a polo shirt and matching crisp pants.
And lastly, Ms. Taraji P. Henson seriously sizzled in a white pleated dress with Saint Laurent sandals.
She later posed with Summer Sizzle BVI organizer Terry Donovan, who looked smart in white separates and a fedora hat.
I was tardy to the party (it wasn’t my fault!), though Karl did capture me dancing it up at the end of the night. I wore a Givenchy Scarf Dress that you will see again.
It was a fun time!
What do you think of the style at Summer Sizzle’s white party?

So I just got back from the British Virgin Islands, and wow: I had a wonderful time!
I headed down there for their Summer Sizzle fashion show, an annual display of international and local design talent. I actually co-hosted the show alongside lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns; Taraji P. Henson along with celebrity makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff were in the building to lend their talents to the festivities.
I brought Fashion Bomb photographer Karl Pierre along with me, so we have *tons* of pix from the fashion show (the recap is coming soon!). Until then, just thought I’d share a few flix from our weekend trip.
Day 1:
We all stayed at Surf Song villas, a quiet resort on Beach Island’s Southern Shore. I was lucky enough to be placed in the pool house, so invited everyone over on day one for an afternoon of tanning, splashing, and good old fashioned fun.
For the day, I pulled out my ‘granny’ swimsuit: a skirted Calvin Klein creation I’ve had for at least 10 years. LOL.
Day 2:
On Day 2, Kenny and I headed to the venue for a run through for the show later that night.
After a quick trip to Cane Garden Bay with my college friends, we graced the stage at the U.P. Cineplex.
I kept my look comfy in Isabel Marant pants, a draped top, and my Brian Atwood studded sandals. Kenny was quite dapper himself in Gucci separates.
And finally, on Day 3, we truly kicked back on a chartered boat, which took us to the baths at Virgin Gorda, a place with large granite boulders protruding out of the water.
It was a great time with amazing people! And Taraji was such a gem!
Stay tuned for an interview with her regarding her fitness routine. You’ll want to check back in!
Oh and Summer Sizzle is 100% open to the public. If you want to come back next year, learn more about it here.
*Check TheBombLife.com for more about what to eat, see, and do in the BVI.
*Many thanks to Christina Rice and Terry Donovan for the amazing experience.

Happy Friday!
I’m chilling in British Virgin Islands, but can’t get off to luxuriating without uploading today’s Bomber. Check out Marcellas from Maryland:
He was submitted by his friend and publicist Nicole @_nikkijlove, who says, “I thought he would be the perfect fit for Fashion Bomber of the Day so I recommended him to your blog!”
” I hope you enjoy because he’s pretty well-rounded, creative and most of all…FASHIONABLE!”
He wrote, “As a young creative director, I would consider my style a visual representation of my creative expression.”
“I would say that I am a minimalist in terms of tone—I don’t do a lot of colors. It’s always easier to mix and match neutrals.”
“I dress in a way I want to be perceived—in the highest regard. I believe style is essential—it is the first thing people see when you meet them. Style is the number one way to network, it draws people in.”
“My style is always based on how I’m feeling for the day—no matter what; I try to be ready for any occasion. You never know who you’ll meet!”
“Style is limitless and that’s why I will always push the limits!”
Hot! Love everything!
