Unveiling: Luxury Contemporary Fashion by Marro Designs

Meet the woman whose love and enthusiasm for the fashion industry are obvious and undoubtedly evident to all, heavily driven by her desire to see others reflect their genuine beauty via what they wear. She is Oghenemarro Victory, also referred to as Marro. She is the brain, the originator, and the creative force behind the apparel line “Marro Designs.

Marro Designs” is a distinctive brand that draws inspiration from the natural environment and local cultures, and her sense of afro-western fusion transcends the boundaries of the modern fashion industry. She creates distinctive clothing for men, women, and kids so that the whole family may express themselves as a whole, lovely entity via style. Using a variety of materials, including African native print fabric, Western plain and pattern fabric, and carefully obtained accessories, Marro Designs is a modern apparel business that infuses vintage elegance into contemporary design.

As a young girl who was born and raised in Nigeria, her desire drove her to prioritise her love of the fashion industry. Her mother’s influence and her early interest for fashion inspired her to join in an apprenticeship programme with Caroline Fashion House in 2005. At age 15, where she learned about and specialised in women’s and children’s apparel, alongside attending high school. She went on to incorporate men’s wear into her line of clothing after completing an apprenticeship with SteveMash Clothing in 2009.

Marro continued her education at the Delta State Polytechnic in Ogwashi-uku, Nigeria, where she studied fashion design and clothing technology. She received a high distinction for her Higher National Diploma. She relocated to the UK with her family in 2019 and continued to develop her style and brand while donning it. She was quickly recognised for her originality while wearing her brand. Her love, enthusiasm, perseverance, sense of style, and inventiveness earned her a “Fashion Power House” in Aberdeen, United Kingdom. This resulted in her being recognized as Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire’s best contemporary fashion designer” and winning the Fashion Art Media Award during the Aberdeen Fashion Week.

What kind of self-image do you want people who wear Marro Designs to have?In other words, they are wearing a piece that serves as a reminder that fashion is circular, and I want them to feel unique and wear it with pride knowing that they are a part of modern fashion awareness that encourages people not to forget the very beginning of fashion in ancient times. When I receive large purchases or family packages, I am especially delighted because it inspires me to carry on with my business.

What steps do you take to ensure that your supply chain and production process align with your idea of contemporary fashion?

There are 3 major processes to production,

1. Sourcing the fabric

2. Materials/accessories to produce garments

3. Pattern making and garment construction.

Over the years I have been able to get a sustainable flow of supply and continued to keep up to date with current market survey for fabrics and materials that are unique to my niche so this gives me astonishing final outcome.

What are your ambitions for the brand as we head towards the end of this year 2023?

I desire to build a strong brand while maintaining its unique niche for contemporary clothing thereby building a business website where products can be seen and ordered all over the world as I am already working on producing high volume “ready to wear” garments. I also aim to network and engage with like minds which will help improve my skills and knowledge in the fashion business/industry.

Starting a Successful Plastic Surgery Business

Plastic surgery is an industry rapidly developing and creating a lot of opportunities for new surgeons. In fact, statistics show that this industry will gain approximately $27.79 billion worldwide in 2023. This reveals how competitive the industry really is.

So starting an independent plastic surgery practice requires a lot of training and experience, and achieving the necessary professional standards. Your main goal should be to open a place that encompasses all operations and other invasive medical procedures whose primary purpose is to change, restore, normalize, or improve an individual’s appearance, function, and well-being. Also, you have to offer your clients affordable prices, benefits, and valid conditions so you make sure they choose your clinic.

Additionally, you should be aware that, before visiting a clinic, people do online research and take into consideration everything they read and see online and then decide if your place is the most suitable one. So, before you open your plastic surgery business, make a plan because it is pointless to have a large number of clients visit your place but not choose your services. To achieve high conversion rates, you must provide excellent customer service and plan every step of your strategy meticulously.

This article will go over the six most profitable and sustainable ways to start a plastic surgery practice.

Research the competition

A competitive analysis will help you assess your potential competitors. To conduct one, first identify the institutions that are currently offering services similar to yours. For example, if you live in Toronto, Canada, make sure to research the market and find the top Toronto plastic surgery institutions this area has to offer.

If your idea is to offer several procedures like breast augmentation, liposuction, facelift, chin implant, or mommy makeover, then thoroughly research your competition and check what they offer. It will better shape your ideas and help you draw some inspiration from them.

Additionally, this analysis can teach you about current market trends, product pricing, market saturation, best practices in the industry, market gaps, and business opportunities. Although a competitor analysis is required when starting a business, it should be done regularly to improve competitiveness.

Create a business plan

Creating a business plan is essential before starting anything else. But, without first researching the medical industry, you cannot begin writing a business plan. Once you do that, create a realistic timetable, find out how to obtain funds, decide on the equipment you need, choose the location, and add everything to the business plan because all of these aspects are important steps in the process. This way, you will come to present yourself as a well-prepared professional.

Obtain funding

One of the most important aspects of starting a plastic surgery practice is having enough money. It is critical to conduct research and select the best funding option for your specific situation. You can use different funding options and resources available to get started.

In fact, you can start by deciding between loans and grants or your personal savings. If you want to get a loan read all the details beforehand. This includes all information about the payment period.

Then, if you choose grant funding, you can search for the best private organizations that provide grants for new businesses and obtain this type of funding. In the end, if none of these suit you, then make good use of your personal savings. This way, you can keep out of debt and obtain complete control over your business.

Decide what equipment you need

While you may want to purchase the most advanced lasers and devices, it may be more cost-effective to lease the equipment that you anticipate will generate the most interest from potential patients. It could be laser resurfacing, injectables, or mostly reconstructive plastic surgery options. Your geographic area and patient demographics may help you determine which treatment options are most desired and needed in your community.

Hire the perfect team

A professional team with proper skills and who knows how to provide good customer service is the key to success. Putting together a team of people who will treat your clients with respect, patience, and understanding will help you gain repeat customers and valuable referrals.

So, start small and hire two nurses, an assistant, and one more plastic surgeon. You cannot go overboard and hire 20 people from the get-go because you have to provide them with proper equipment, uniforms, and a satisfactory salary. Also, it is essential that you keep your expenses low while you’re still expanding your patient base. That is why you should hire only the necessary personnel at the beginning. You must build your brand and referral base over time in order to increase patient volume.

Create a memorable name

Consider a short, powerful name that will stand out from the competition. You must create something meaningful and closely related to your brand. It must be distinct and simple to pronounce and spell. Also, always ask for help from your closest ones. Ask for their honest opinion, and allow them to assist you if you become stuck.

Final thoughts

Establishing a successful plastic surgery practice requires patience, commitment, and planning.  You should create a concise plan about the expenses and estimate how much you need to save before starting your business. By following these steps, you are one step closer to owning a very successful business.

Kanye West and Wife Bianca Sensori Go Shopping on Melrose Wearing Balenciaga

Kanye West and his wifey Bianca Sensori have been hitting the streets in style ever since they said ‘I do.’ Whether it be dinner with the family or hitting up their favorite shops, this duo does it in the futuristic utilitarian sexy West has come to be known for.

Recently the couple went shopping on Melrose and the controversial rapper wore a brown leather bomber jacket, black cargos, and combat boots. A typical Ye ‘fit we’d say. Incorporates the color black, an oversize piece is present, and heavy boots are involved. Bianca layered a quarter zip vest over a sheer long-sleeve top, leather opera gloves, black knit shorts over black nylons, and knee-high Balenciaga boots.

Kanye is known for transforming his ex-wife’s (Kim Kardashian) style and styled a few of Julia Fox’s most viral looks when they were together. Since the extremely public fallout with Kim Kardashian, West has been applying this Mad Max-esque Balenciaga-core to every partner he’s been spotted with. Ah, what we won’t do for love.

6 Ways to Update Your Style

Does your closet feel outdated? It may be time to upgrade your clothing and accessories! Sometimes you need to swap out old pieces for new ones. You could also add something new. Let us show you our top style updates so you can pick what makes you feel chic and confident. From new reading glasses for women and men to stylish jewelry to round out your wardrobe, this list will help you find fashion inspiration and stay on-trend.

  1. Try New Eyewear

Most of us wear some form of eyewear like blue light glasses or reading glasses. Prescription eyeglasses are popular, as are progressive lenses. If you don’t wear eyeglasses to read or prevent eye strain, you probably have a pair of polarized sunglasses.

Whatever you wear, it’s common to keep the same specs for a while. A stylish and comfortable pair may stay in your wardrobe for years. No matter how many frames you have, wearing new and on-trend eyewear is an excellent way to update your style. You can shop online for eyeglasses to fit your eye care needs and personality.

For those who wear reading glasses, a pair of round frames with a retro vibe will keep you looking stylish at work or play. Or breathe new life into your closet with a pair of cat eye glasses or geometric-shaped frames. Some of the season’s hottest sunglasses styles include aviator sunglasses and soft square polarized sunglasses in gradients and iridescent colors.

Quality acetate frames are affordable, so update your style with unique shapes and colors. Lightweight frames make it easy to add eyeglasses to every outfit. Once you have your eyewear, complete your on-trend look with a tailored jacket or beaded handbag.

  1. Choose a Signature Color

Transform your style with a fresh pop of color! A new signature shade accents your wardrobe essentials and highlights classic neutrals like tan blazers and white t-shirts. How do you pick a color to add to your closet? Choose a hue that intrigues you or highlights your skin tone or eye color.

Gold and rose-pink flatter warm skin tones, so shop for a gold chain necklace or find pink-colored eyeglasses frames to match your tops and jackets. Men and women with cool skin tones will love experimenting with blue and royal purple sunglasses.

Do you have brown or blue eyes? Get a pair of tortoiseshell eyeglasses. Green eyes look great with gold eyewear, while brunette hair matches well with cobalt blue blazers and red jackets. Add pink or purple hair accessories to blonde hair. Black hair looks beautiful when accented with bronze or rose gold earrings or hairpins.

When you’re unsure about a color, try it on! Visit a store dressing room or use a virtual try-on tool. There’s nothing wrong with choosing a few signature colors when you can’t decide! Having a set of vibrant or calming shades in your rotation will help to make every outfit exciting.

  1. Add Prints and Patterns

Prints add style and dimension to your collection, so update your look with a few fierce pieces featuring unique patterns. Our favorite options include plaid jackets and floral blazers for looking chic and keeping warm. Animal-inspired prints are among this season’s favorites, so shop around to discover zebra print pants and leopard purses.

You’ll even find animal prints in eyewear! Safari patterns and lynx prints add adventure to readers and blue light glasses, but we also love the chic and dynamic appearance of Tokyo tortoise and Chai tortoise frames. Quartz frames in blue or purple have a flair for the dramatic but match everything. Green and black marble will elevate a work suit or little black dress.

  1. Shop What’s On-Trend

A simple way to update your look is to shop what’s on-trend. Browse the season’s top styles or search your favorite sites for their newest clothes and accessories. Magazines and couture clothing brands can offer inspiration, but you can’t go wrong when you search for seasonal selections from your favorite companies.

Are you looking to revamp your style and save time? Shop for handbags and shoes. These accessories feature interesting textures and colors to breathe life into your outfits. More trend-worthy choices include reading glasses and polarized sunglasses, which always get seasonal updates.

  1. Swap Out Old Pieces

If you bought into old trends in the past, it might be time to switch out these pieces for something more in fashion. For example, donate old jeans or jackets to make room for fresher-looking bottoms and outerwear. When tees and undershirts look worn or faded, replace them with newer, more vibrant versions.

Is there clothing or jewelry that doesn’t match your current style? Change things up with modern colors or prints. Sometimes, your accessories won’t fit your lifestyle. For example, you may need to replace your no-correction eyeglasses with a pair of readers.

If you find out you need reading glasses, your new pair of eyewear can be just as comfortable and stylish. Nowadays, you’ll discover the same bold frame shapes in cheaters and blue light specs as you do with the most flattering prescription frames and polarized sunglasses. Try on a few lightweight pairs and see for yourself!

  1. Consult with a Stylist

There are some occasions when you feel like calling in a professional. Perhaps you’re getting ready for a summer vacation or want to revamp your office wardrobe. A stylist can help you choose the pieces to flatter you and boost your confidence.

Some style pros are available face-to-face, while others do virtual consultations. You may even be able to book a free session on your favorite website. Some clothing and accessories brands offer stylist consults before buying a signature piece. If you’re searching for a simple and affordable option, you can always take advantage of virtual try-on tools.

Create a New, Inspired Look

Revamping your style is easy when you choose inspired colors and patterns. New accessories and fresh clothing pieces will help create a new look for each season. With a few subtle and smart changes, you’ll look stylish and fresh no matter where you go.  Enjoy the chic simplicity of a well-styled ensemble.

Megan Thee Stallion Announces She’s Working on a New Album in an All Black Custom Mermaid Gown by Bach Mai

At the Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty, Hollywood’s top echelon showed up and out to toast and celebrity all of the winners at the 95th Academy Awards. Before the champagne flowed and the dance floor rushed, Vanity Fair’s blue carpet welcomed dynamic looks like Hunter Schafer in a single white feather as a top and Offset in a Kanye-esque crystal face mask. Among the actors, actresses, and musicians that walked the carpet, Megan Thee Stallion stood out in one of her best looks yet.

The H-Town hottie wore an all-black custom mermaid gown by Bach Mai featuring a sweetheart neckline, exposed boning, and netting at the bust. Her hair was big and curly, and she kept it minimal on the accessories, only wearing a diamond ring and tennis necklace.

On the blue carpet, she caught up with Entertainment Tonight, where she shared that she is working on a new album.

Later in the Q&A, Megan revealed she called Beyoncé directly for Renaissance tour tickets, which she received with no problem. If only some of us could be so blessed.

The Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty marks Megan’s first major event since the State of California vs. Tory Lanez case, and we’re happy to see her smiling, glowing, and looking bomb.

Offset Wore a Kanye West-Like Crystal Face Mask to the Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty

At the Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty, the stars wore looks even more elaborate than the Oscars looks. While A-listers like Billie Eilish stood out in a supersized Rick Owens gown, and Tessa Thompson delivered sexy romanticism in a rose bra by Moschino, Offset caused quite the conversation in a crystal mask.

Styled by his longtime stylist SheShe, the ATL rapper wore a double-breasted tuxedo by Dior and accessorized with a custom face mask by Malcolm Anthony. Since Sunday night’s event, the look has gone seemingly viral, with social media users drawing comparisons to the Margiela mask Kanye West wore during his 2012 Revel show in Atlantic City.

The crystal Margiela face masks first debuted during the brand’s Fall 2012 Haute Couture presentation, and it wasn’t long before Ye had them off the runway and included in his Yeezus tour wardrobe. Offset wore the mask briefly before removing it to pose with his wife Cardi B, who also wore a masked look in Robert Wun.

Celebrity Stylist Law Roach Announces Retirement in Heartfelt Instagram Post Citing He’s Over the “Politics” and “Lies”

It was a regular degular Tuesday in the fashion world. Red carpet looks from the Oscars weekend was still flooding down our feeds juxtaposed with street style shots from Tokyo Fashion Week, and then the world stopped. At exactly 1:18 PM EST, celebrity stylist Law Roach announced his retirement via Instagram.

In a saddening post which now has 11,000+ comments and counting, Roach uploaded a photo of a red and white ‘RETIRED’ sign with a heartstring-gripping caption:

My Cup is empty….. thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years. Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all. If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics , the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out.

Law Roach is most famously known as the mastermind behind the looks of actress and style icon Zendaya. Since 2011 the pair have made a name for themselves in fashion, working together on iconic looks like the illuminating Cinderella-inspired Tommy Hilfiger gown she wore to the 2019 Met Gala, the cobweb-covered custom Valentino for the Spider-Man: No Way Home premiere, and who could forget the look that caused all that conversation: the silk Vivienne Westwood paired with faux locs for the 2015 Academy Awards. Even before Zendaya was cemented as a red carpet It Girl , Roach worked with the young starlet on her short livid clothing line Daya by Zendaya.

The Euphoria star wasn’t his only A-lister client. Since turning her into a versatile style queen, Roach has worked with Celine Dion, Tiffany Haddish, Megan Thee Stallion, Kerry Washington, Anya Taylor-Joy and more.

Roach brought his exquisite eye and love for fashion to the house of Hervé Léger ––where he collabed with the brand on a resort collection––as well as the stage of HBO’s Legendary: the ballroom competition show where he acted as a judge for all three seasons. Law Roach’s place in the industry is well deserved, and because of that, news of his retirement comes as a surprise to not only fashion fans but insiders and designers alike. Nevertheless, he’s not to blame if the politics behind the scenes are dragging him down. Even celebrity stylists must go where they are celebrated and appreciated. Unfortunately, the fashion industry isn’t that place.
