We’re going to be in Chicago this weekend! Though I’ll be in and out, there’s lots of great shopping I’ll be earmarking for my next trip.
Take a look at this week’s Fab List, highlighting 10 Bomb Chi Town Boutiques you should swing by.
If you’re a lover of luxury and labels, Ikram Chicago is the place to go! Pop by Huron street to shop brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Azzedine Alaia, Alexander McQueen, and more. When you’re done shopping til you drop, take a pause at their tasty café. Peruse their wares and make reservations at their restaurant at Ikram.com.
Co-owned by Bobby Simmons and Dorian Grace, D Lux Chicago and Bryson Milan stock casual pieces that offer a luxurious feel. They don’t have e-commerce, so you’ll have to pop by if you’re ever in town! Follow them on Instagram @DLuxChicago and visit 1409 N Ashland Ave should your travels take you to the Windy City.
3. Sir & Madame (5225 S Harper Ct, Chicago, IL 60615).
Sir & Madame is a trendy black owned boutique established in 2007 by husband and wife, Brian and Autumn Merritt. They’ve been supplying the Hyde Park area with well made clothes that are “classic with a twist” for years. See the duo in action here:
4. Fashion Geek (69 E 16th St, Chicago IL 60616-5515).
Pop by Fashion Geek for colorfully nerdy branded merchandise, including sweatshirts, tees, cardigans, and more. Not in Chicago? No worries! Shop their stock here or here.
5. RSVP Gallery (1753 N Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60647)
Kanye West camp members Don C, Marc Moran and Virgil Abloh launched RSVP Gallery in 2009. The slick store carries everything from BAPE and Yeezy’s to Chanel and Louis Vuitton, all arranged in an art gallery inspired space, boasting paintings by Takashi Murakami, Kaws, Stephen Sprouse, and more. Only the cool kids need apply. Get a preview at RSVPGallery.com.
Founded by Erikka Wang and Eric Hsueh, Akira sells their own label along with loads of contemporary brands, and has three stores all over Chicago. Hit them up for affordable club dresses, look-at-me shoes, sunglasses, and so much more! Lucky you: they have an e-commerce store. Get your shop on here.
Touted as the busy woman’s personal shopping service, Luxury Garage is a high end consignment store, chock full of clothes, accessories, and more. Shop Chanel, Christian Dior, Christian Louboutin, Chloe, Hermes, Gucci, Isabel Marant online or pop by their Chicago store at 1658 N. Wells St.
More than just a bomb boutique, The Silver Room doubles as a gallery and event space. Their Block Parties are the things of legend; stop in at slower times to peruse a selection of accessories, jewelry, and unique clothing.
9. Azeeza US (900 North Michigan Shops, 900 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60611).
Chicago designer Azeeza Khan’s gloriously embellished pieces have found fans in Sarah Jessica Parker, Gabrielle Union, and Sophia Bush. At Khan’s Michigan street atelier, you can find off the rack or custom created embroidered dresses, skirts, and tops that are sure to make you sparkle. Read more about her at Chicagolifeblog.com.
Owned by stylist Tamika Maria Price, Standout style Boutique sells comfortable and chic clothing for the everyday woman. Check them out at 3353 S Morgan St if you’re ever in the Chi.
The unisex piece boasts breathable double-knit mesh and is crafted from 100% polyester.
The tank top also showcases hand-drawn doodle graphics by Pharrell Williams himself. I’ve seen quite a few celebs (including Jhene Aiko) uplifting this eclectic line so it was really cool to see how Justin styled his own version.
The back view includes the numbers “03” with additional floral designs. While this ‘happy’ number is sold out in a majority of the online stores, it’s still available via Foot Locker here!
Quick question: When did Justin get so tatted?! I mean, I just completely missed that entire phase. Gosh!
But, the Biebs looks great! This is a nice, casual summer ‘fit. And, I’m ALL for supporting Pharrell in his fashionable glory.

We still have a little over three months until the official release of Kenzo x H&M, but we’re happy to report that a few images of the upcoming collaboration have surfaced! What is being served up as a first look is right in line with what Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have been creating for the iconic fashion house since they were appointed to the Creative Director position—fierce prints, head-turning colors, and in-your-face logos:
“Lots of customers only know the side of Kenzo we worked on, but we’re celebrating the brand’s 50th anniversary,” revealed Leon to Vogue.com. “We’ve kept Kenzo Takada close to our hearts; he comes to all our shows. We want to do something that makes him feel proud.”
And for the collection’s lookbook, Lim and Leon have brought on the world’s most stylish tastemakers and their fashionable friends: artist Ono Ekombo, activist Amy Sall, makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, and more. Of the duo’s choices, Leon said, “People we admire, icons in their own fields, people who are influential beyond their fashion sensibility.”
“This is just the beginning,” stated Leon. “We really put our heart and soul into how it will look. We just love what they do.” We cannot wait to see the whole collection!
