Happy Thursday!
We recently stumbled across Liquid Courage Cosmetics, a one stop beauty shop specializing in cosmetics, lipsticks, and more.
Their lipsticks are poppin! Highly pigmented, paraben, gluten, cruelty free, they look fabulous on a wide range of skin tones.
Check out a few of their most popular shades, including “Red in Rome,“ “Ruby,” and “Plum it up.”

A Balmain show is the height of glitz and glamour and no expense was spared for the iconic French fashion house’s Spring 2017 collection unveiling. The front row was brimming with the brand’s flock of celebrity fans and the catwalk was equally full of the world’s biggest supermodels: Olivier Rousteing certainly can bring them out, can’t he? The designs were sleek, serpentine, and sinuous in true Balmain fashion.
For the momentous affair, Rousteing transformed Paris’s famed Hôtel Potocki into a leafy jungle, complete with vegetation oozing from every crevice. This set the tone for the ferocity and power of the looks to come.
The Creative Director called on all his BFFs to take to the runway: naturally they all happen to be some of the globe’s biggest models. Doutzen Kroes, Jourdan Dunn, Natasha Poly, Gigi Hadid—the list goes on.
Though there were more than enough scantily-clad looks to go around, it was nice to see Rousteing embrace layered ensembles—a quite obvious nod to the house’s more modest clientele. Cutout dresses were layered under floor-grazing jackets and over leggings, bomber-inspired jackets falling at the knee were belted at the waist to offset their longer lengths, cape jackets were juxtaposed against flowing maxi skirts, and separates were paired together for a chic suiting effect.
Snake-embossed and actual exotic skin designs were plentiful with strappy belts on-trend with the current corset fad, knit dresses with thigh-high double slits, contrast open jackets, and a long trench that screamed luxury.
There was absolutely no denying the force of the eveningwear here. It’s clear that Rousteing is very much catering to the red carpet set all around the world: a very smart move with the number of film festivals, movie premieres, and stylish events seeming to double almost yearly.
And do we even need to mention who’ll be wearing the styles on display? Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and equally stylish mom-ager Kris Jenner all lined the front row: three of the most powerful Balmain fans in the world. A red jumpsuit with sheer panels and side slits was the perfect red carpet piece for the selfie-loving mogul, though I’d personally like to see any fashionable star in a colorfully embellished robe dress with transparent insets.
Happy Thursday!
I’m filming BET/Centric’s The Round today, so will be away from the computer. Before I fly up to Harlem, check out today’s Bombshell, Bianca from Houston, Texas:
She says, “I’m a blogger from Houston, TX whose mission is to inspire others to take the necessary steps to follow their dreams and goals through my own personal experiences with life, fashion, and natural hair.”
” My style is very inconsistent.”
” Shopping at thrift stores and resale shops is what I live for and that’s where many of my pieces come from.”
” I love finding unique items and making them my own.”

YES! Great pictures and pops of color. I enjoyed the diversity of your submission.

From VH1’s Basketball Wives LA to TVOne’s The Next: 15, it seems TV personality Laura Govan has managed to solidify her stay in the volatile world of reality TV since 2011. Combine that with being a mom of four and you’ve got yourself a recipe for not taking a decent amount of time for yourself. But somewhere along the way, we’ve noticed quite the transformation in Laura’s style.
Since her first appearance on television, Laura’s been a fan of somewhat shapeless silhouettes that didn’t seem to accentuate any part of her body with the exception of her legs. And with cascading hair, it sometimes hid her enviable bone structure. Satin dresses and flowing tops dominated her wardrobe in her early days.
But as the years progressed, we saw a more confident and noticeably more svelte Laura. Trading in long locks for a very chic low cut to highlight her high cheeks and stunning makeup definitely elevated her look. But Laura’s wardrobe also took a took for the better, thanks to celebrity stylist Daniel Hawkins.
From embellished blazers to sexy mini dresses and sultry separates that show off her toned midsection, Laura seems to up the ante with each ensemble. And the likes of Christian Louboutin, Giuseppe Zanotti, Chanel, BCBG Max Azria and House of CB are certainly labels to consider if a style boost is in order. And what’s to be lauded is how she’s shattered the color and fabric choice barrier. Denim crop tops, lace pieces, garments that favor slightly masculine tailoring and lots of red now take precedence. And we’re not complaining.
So here’s to Laura! She’s made quite the progression into such a style savant, and we’re keeping our eyes peeled for more fabulous looks to come.
Take a look through the gallery to see how Laura’s sartorial game has evolved.
The heat is on! Funny gal Kristen Wiig sizzled at the Masterminds Los Angeles premiere clad in a Marc Jacobs Fall 2017 Sequin Patchwork Thigh High Slit Long Sleeve Gown:
Her bold gown was modeled on the runway styled with black platform boots.
I love that she added a belt to create more shape to the somewhat boxy silhouette.
Happy Wednesday, folks!

Italian crafted, the chic piece features croc effect leather details, a small shoulder strap, and just enough space to hold the essentials for a night on the town.
The chain can be doubled to give the purse a shorter drop. The silver details add even more glam to the already flashy patent leather.
The Kate acts as the perfect accessory to any ensemble, the chained tassel on the front of the bag is my favorite detail about this piece.
