Her sleek mini dress was first seen during the brand’s Spring ’17 runway in Paris. Referencing the high-octane glamour of the ’80s, this one-shoulder piece is cut from devoré chiffon, patterned with black velvet and shimmery metallic polka-dots.
It boasts a sweetheart bodice that’s boned for support and a swishy asymmetric hem.
Her chic Italian made pointed toe patent-leather pumps feature a gold ‘Y’ at the heel and slim strap.
This entire ensemble is straight fire and she knows it! Hot!
Happy Monday, Bombers and Bombshells!
Can I tell you, I am SO HAPPY to be back by a computer. This past week has been super busy, full of travel, interviews, cocktails, and conversations, but I haven’t been able to update the site with the blow-by-blow because of a blown laptop (read the report at the end).*
At any rate, after completing my hosting/speaking duties for Sheen Magazine for their Legendary Weekend, I decided to make the most of my time in the A, and sat down for an interview with reality starlet, fashionista, and Pressed Atlanta owner, Rasheeda Frost.
We sipped on a ‘Southern Peach’ cocktail aka Ciroc Peach and tonic, and talked about her style, entrepreneurship, and the nitty gritty about how she started and maintained a super popular store in the most luxurious mall in Georgia (video coming soon to Fashion Bomb TV).
Later on that day, Rasheeda and I hosted part 2 with Conversations with Claire and a book signing at Pressed.
Lots of fly Bombers and Bombshells came out to support, including ParisChea, Reco Chapple, Funky Dineva, and more! It was a good time!
Thank you to everyone who came out with great energy, great questions, and blessings upon blessings.
It was fabulous! I didn’t have much time to relish in the good Georgia vibes, as I boarded a plane the next day for the West Coat. Kevin Hart and his stylist Ashley North (@AshleyNorthStyle) have collaborated on a fashion film that simultaneously showcases Ashley’s artistic prowess and Kevin Hart’s multifaceted talent.
Though one should expect this to be another comedy, it in fact shows Kevin in a more dramatic light, and uncovers some of the pain behind his playful jokes. The FBD crew had the ultimate opportunity to hang out backstage, capture some Behind the Scenes footage, and also interview Ashley about how she broke into celebrity styling (she started off interning for Tameka Foster and helped style Usher and Justin Bieber before working with Kevin. She has been Kevin’s stylist for over 10 years).
I also got a chance to ask Kevin a few questions about his fashion sense and keys to success (he is killing it right now, isn’t he?).
Amazing, right? But again, I didn’t have much time to let the moment marinate, as I was booked to give a guest lecture on marketing and branding in Boston at MIT’s Sloan Business School.
Yes! One of my graduate student tutor’s I met while an undergrad at Harvard invited me to lecture to two of her classes about how I started Fashion Bomb Daily, and any key marketing and branding lessons I’ve learned over the past 10 years.
Each class was 80 minutes long, so I was certainly anxious, BUT the students were so eager and had such great questions that the time flew right on by. Call me (Guest) Professor Sulmers.
That night, I decided to do Convos with Claire Boston, so hightailed it to Hyde Park to Josefa de Silva’s atelier for a fun convo, moderated by FBD’s very own Cassandre LaTortue.
I rocked a dress from Boston’s Shop William Edward, while Cassandre stunned in a Ty Hunter x 360 style multicolored dress. We grabbed a pic with Josefa da Silva and model Akou Diop.
After we chatted, we sipped wine, ate hors d’oevres from Zaz Restaurant (1238 River St, Hyde Park, MA 02136. You MUST stop by if you’re ever in Boston), and I signed lots of books. I started my travels with a bag full of books, and left with just a handful. You guys are amazing!!! Thank you so much for supporting me!!
I updated Fashion Bomb Daily and The Bomb Life on Saturday morning from my hotel room, and energetically documented it all via Snapchat. I left my room to grab brunch and visit family, and came back to a laptop covered in liquid. Though it could turn on, the keys were rendering symbols, and my laptop was basically dead. Phone calls to Troy Gonsalves, Debra Carson, Roc Mutawassim, and an elusive man named ‘Elan‘ at Marriott corporate only resulted in a claim number (577913) but no retribution. Not even a sorry. I will live to write another day, but it’s quite disappointing that a hotel would allow such poor customer service. I was lucky (?) enough to stay at the Marriott in Cambridge, and attempted to prepare my MIT presentation down in the computer lab; the computers froze and shut down every time I tried to add images to my powerpoint presentation. I don’t normally complain, so you know this is bad. I’ll keep you updated as to if I ever hear back. It shouldn’t take a public roasting, however, to get a response.

You know I’m all for a statement-making jumpsuit, but Kat Graham’s Off-White piece needed a bit more tailoring.

Amber Rose was the lady in red in curve-baring separates in the fiery hue.
Shay Mitchell smoldered in a head-turning, tiger print Roberto Cavalli cutout gown.

Allison Williams sizzled in a sequin Galia Lahav cutout dress.
The night’s co-host Hailee Steinfeld showcased her toned abs in a lavender, embellished Fausto Puglisi cutout number. She owned this!
Actress Alisha Boe was gilded in a draped jersey gold metallic cocktail dress from Vivienne Westwood Anglomania’s Fall Collection.
My People, there is power in the pen. I decided to go back and read my journal from about two years ago, and what amazed me was the fact that I am currently living out some of the goals that were written in my journal. There’s something about reading or writing that triggers your subconscious brain. When you write your goals down and read them over and over, your subconscious brain begins to think about these goals more actively – which in turn causes you to begin working towards them. Writing your goals down makes them become clear and tangible. It gives you a clear picture of what you want, it will push you to take action, and it will allow you to see your progress.
I write down whatever I want whether it’s big or small. I place my list of goals in a notebook that I carry with me 90% of the time or on a computer or mirror so that I can continuously see them. I constantly refer back to my list of goals to make sure I’m on track or to revise them, and then I execute a plan to accomplish them.
I challenge all of you to get a piece of paper out and write your goals down. No matter if they are big or small, weird or funny – write them down, believe that you can accomplish them, read them over and over, and work towards them. The goals you write down won’t be accomplished over night, but I bet you sooner or later you’ll see yourself getting closer and closer to what you’ve written down if you take action.
The Heritage jacket is updated with a wide lapel and further enhanced by embroidered flowers at each shoulder that wrap around the back neck.
In a perennially cool high-waisted fit, the MOTO Jamie is the original rock n’ roll skinny jean that we fell in love with all those years ago. Crafted from a super-stretchy mid-stone cotton blend, for our signature soft denim feel – the iconic style includes multiple pockets, rip detail, a top button fly and a jersey panel to support your growing bump.

Michelle has been killing the style scene as of late! Her stylist J.Bolin has been coming out swinging with back to back stunners. She wore this gown by Ezé Azénabor to Mrs. Tina Lawson’s Wearable Art gala. This was the perfect dress to accentuate her petite frame. Intricate designs on the dress fit the theme as it was certainly a work of art. The plunging neckline allowed her to give just the right amount of sass!
Pregnant or not, we all know Beyonce was not about to be outdone at her mama’s event. She was a goddess in a red Stella dress that hugged her in all the right places. The statement piece was without a doubt the floral crown she adorned which paid homage to the theme of the night. Her look was simply effortless.
Seeing Nicole Murphy stunt on us youngin’s just gives me all types of hope. Talk about body goals! She was slaying in this Fashionova set. How many mom’s do you see walking around looking this good running errands? Trust me guys, we love her just as much as you do.
Angela Bassett rocked out in this jumpsuit by Christian Siriano. To be honest, I didn’t even notice her bad ass bob until after the fact. Love the asymmetrical twist! Whenever there’s a fabulous short hair do involved, a design that shows off the shoulders is always the way to go. Kudos to her glam team for hitting this look on the nail!
Talk about a snapback! Dream’s mama, Blac Chyna, showed out on the red carpet in a striped choker dress by House of CB. The form fitting number hit all the curves. I especially love how the neutral hues of the dress go perfectly with her skin tone. This was definitely a winning look!
Well, there you have it! Who do you think had the best look?
Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reality TV star, Joseline Hernandez made an appearance on daytime talkshow The Real in the capacity of guest co-host. To wit, the Puerto Rican Princess skewed demure in a $955 Etro Iris Floral Tropical Print Wrap Blouse and matching $855 Silk Wide Leg Pants:
Her silk wrap blouse is enlivened with colorful birds perched atop lushly blooming Iris flowers.
Her wide-leg palazzo pants are printed with colorful iris blooms and perched birds. A partially elasticized waist enhances the sophisticated ease of the fluid silhouette
