On the Scene: The PrettyLittleThing X Olivia Culpo Launch with Olivia Culpo, Laura Govan, Shaun Ross, and More!

Stars showed up and showed out to celebrate Olivia Culpo’s collaboration with Pretty Little Thing! Patent leather, stripes, classic shirt dresses, bold hues, and more were all on the style agenda.

Let’s get into the night’s ensembles:

Olivia Culpo layered a patent leather mini skirt over a white shirtdress for her big night. I live for her style!

Laura Govan flaunted her curves in a long-sleeve, illusion LBD and sultry fishnet socks.

Shaun Ross was a cool kid in black and white stripes and those classic Vans kicks.

Malika Haqq layered a sheer, foil-embroidered bomber jacket over a strappy cutout bra. Hot!

It was all about stripes for stylist Ashley North. When matching separates are done right.

Bridget Kelly was a vision in a crochet lace LWD. Nice to see her back on the red carpet!

Daphne Joy kept it flirty in a printed strapless frock with tiered ruffles. So cute, right?

Young M.A. kept it casual in a fedora, destructed sweatshirt, denim, and white high-top kicks.

Lala Kent channeled a bit of that J.Lo Versace dress in a patterned stunner that played on the legendary gown.

Nicole Williams was polished in a long-sleeve, off-the-shoulder lace LBD. Great dress!

Veronika Obeng showed us how to do Fall florals in a little black dress covered in the classic motif.

Lucy Mecklenburgh traveled from across the pond for the event, showcasing her toned midriff in sexy lace separates.

Masika Kalysha was a blue dream in a striped mini dress and cobalt leather sandals.

Look of the Week (Top 5 Most Liked Looks on Instagram): Ciara in Escada, Tracee Ellis Ross in Chanel, Nicole Scherzinger in Stella McCartney, and More!

It’s Friday, and I’m here to bring you this weeks’ Look of the Week; where you give us the pulse on the looks you liked the most on Instagram. The majority of contenders were BeautyCon attendee’s, so clearly this year was a fashion show down at the well acclaimed beauty conference. We’ve also got a lovely treat for you at the end. Here’s what your likes pooled in:

1. Ciara in Escada: 14,427 Likes

Second time mama, Ciara bossed it all the way up in a powder blue Escada suit at BeautyCon. I mean, check out her shoulder lean in this pose. Cici was clearly owning her stance, reminding us all that she is back in action. There is something to be said about the art of color blocking. The yellow Le Silla pumps worked perfectly with the pastel tones. I’m totally here for this look!

2. Tracee Ellis Ross in Chanel: 9,481 Likes

Tracee hits it on the nail every time with her consistent slayage. Choosing to wear her notorious afro puff, she was decked out in Chanel at BeautyCon. Her almost monochromatic look was broken up by a pair of cropped denim, coupled with Chanel’s kitten heel shoes. Known to be a fashion connoisseur in her own right, the actress/comedian kept it effortlessly chic.

3. Nicole Scherzinger in Stella McCartney: 9,346 Likes

Nicole Scherzinger kept it cute and comfy for an Ed Sheeran concert. Her oversized flannel top was the perfect attire for the typical concert-goer. The infamous Stella McCartney Elyse platform sneakers played up her look while still keeping it comfortable, which is essential for jumping around and hollering at the top of your lungs. She kept it even cuter with a Le Petit Joueurs black widow love bag.

Aside from her drool worthy accessories including this two toned hat, Nicole’s make up was on point! From the pronounced cheek bones to the popping lips, her MUA did a stellar job.

4. Amber Rose in DVF: 9,334 Likes

Amber is the third BeautyCon beauty to land our hot list. She posed looking pretty in a money green DVF striped crop top with a matching skirt. Gone are the days where your shoes have to match the rest of your ‘fit (unless you choose the monochromatic route). She kept it classy in a pair of mustard mules by Dolce Vita. Muva served!

5. Asahd Khaled in Gucci: 9,094 Likes

It’s not everyday a child under one makes our list of most liked looks, however; Asahd Khaled constantly tugs at our heart strings with his precious smile and impressive designer collection. The proclaimed heir to his father, DJ Khaled’s throne, posed looking jolly in a Gucci baby Savannah print t-shirt. How many pre-toddlers do you know who are this well dressed?

Asahd is not only quite the charmer, but is quite possibly the most popular baby in showbiz!

Wasn’t that a treat?!

Pat McGrath To Launch Her First Permanent Makeup Line

Pat McGrath is noted as the most influential makeup artist in the industry. Fittingly, she will launch her first “unlimited” core makeup collection under PAT McGrath LABS.

Pat McGrath has issued limited edition colors, and received lots of positive feedback. It’s only right to make her line permanent.

According to WWD, there will be two unique drops on her website patmcgrath.com. On September 16th at midnight, she will unleash 40 color hues of lipsticks in matte and luxe finishes. On September 28th, fans will be able to get their hands on lip liner in 11 shades, eyeliner in five shades, and three color ways of mascara and an eye shadow palette. Prices for the makeup ranges from $25-$125.

In an interview with WWD, McGrath said, “A lot of these colors are my all-time colors for the last 25 years…[you can] shop my archive. I can say, ‘This was the palette when you saw me do a tan and a bronze for Versace.’ I re-created shadows that I had to make to get that beautiful, rich seductive brown or that incredible metallic gold pigment that doesn’t exist unless it’s made out of eight different formulas.”

If you’re a subscriber to McGrath’s site, you’re in luck because she will host a “secret” pre-sale to her collection, but there’s no telling when that will happen as of yet, so just be on high alert. Her collection will officially be sold to the masses at 25 Sephora stores and online on Oct. 6th.

“All along I’ve done about five makeup lines that I’ve put away because they’ve looked like everyone else’s. I wanted to do something authentic,” McGrath told WWD.

McGrath’s expansion will lead to more anticipated productslike foundations for various skin tones.

If you haven’t yet copped McGrath’s latest limited edition collection, it’s not too late. Sephora.com has a few of the MatteTrance lipsticks available for $38.

H&M Mimic’s Designs From Vetements and Gosha Rubchinskiy

First, Forever 21 with their Gucci stripes knockoff, now H&M is following the suit by mocking designs from Vetements and Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy.

According to High Snobiety, H&M is ripping off creations from these street-wear labels; Vetements for their dragon-like designs that appear on the sleeves and in the center of their sweatshirts, and Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy’s for their oddly similar Russian prints.

Here’s an image of Rubchinskiy’s designer socks. Do you peep the similarities?

The popular retro magazine, Thrasher, is another retailer that H&M has ripped off with their signature flame logo. They’ve filed a lawsuit against the fashion house and told them to simply, “F*CK OFF.”

Take a look at these images of H&M’s version of Vetement’s aesthetics:

It’s a given that H&M is following in these popular designers footsteps, but would it be the last?

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Soukena from NY

Happy Friday Eve!

Today’s Bombshell is bringing us some flavor representing the Haitian culture. Behold Soukena from NY, who currently resides in the City of Angels aka LA.

She writes, “I’m a fashion stylist/ creative/spontaneous being.”

“I think fashion is cool and it’s even cooler to me personally when it’s not entirely just about it’s materialistic values on a person. I would describe my style as tomboy chic / or effortlessly casual. I am all about comfort, so I’m a skinny jeans, ankle boots, long sleeve- tee or hoodie kinda girl but it’s never a bore.”

“My favorite things to shop are vintage. I love shopping vintage because it’s always so fufuling when I find a piece that is valuable, rich with details and it’s one of its kind… Especially like the red asian jacket I’m wearing with the frog butting details a couple pictures below. I bought it at Reformation on their vintage rack. That was a must!”
